נַֽהֲרַ֖יִם in Aram-naharaim . na·hă·ra·yim Genesis 24:11 עֶ֔רֶב As evening approached ‘e·reḇ לְעֵ֣ת . . . , lə·‘êṯ הַגְּמַלִּ֛ים he made the camels hag·gə·mal·lîm וַיַּבְרֵ֧ךְ kneel down way·yaḇ·rêḵ אֶל־ near ’el- בְּאֵ֣ר the well bə·’êr הַמָּ֑יִם . . . ham·mā·yim מִח֥וּץ outside mi·ḥūṣ לָעִ֖יר the town lā·‘îr לְעֵ֖ת at the time lə·‘êṯ צֵ֥את when the women went out ṣêṯ הַשֹּׁאֲבֹֽת׃ to draw water . haš·šō·’ă·ḇōṯ Genesis 24:12 יְהוָ֗ה “ O YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵי֙ God ’ĕ·lō·hê אֲדֹנִ֣י of my master ’ă·ḏō·nî אַבְרָהָ֔ם Abraham , ” ’aḇ·rā·hām וַיֹּאמַ֓ר׀ he prayed , way·yō·mar נָ֥א “ please nā הַקְרֵה־ grant me success today haq·rêh- לְפָנַ֖י . . . lə·p̄ā·nay הַיּ֑וֹם . . . , hay·yō·wm וַעֲשֵׂה־ and show wa·‘ă·śêh- חֶ֕סֶד kindness ḥe·seḏ עִ֖ם to ‘im אֲדֹנִ֥י my master ’ă·ḏō·nî אַבְרָהָֽם׃ Abraham . ’aḇ·rā·hām Genesis 24:13 הִנֵּ֛ה Here hin·nêh אָנֹכִ֥י I am , ’ā·nō·ḵî נִצָּ֖ב standing niṣ·ṣāḇ עַל־ beside ‘al- עֵ֣ין the spring ‘ên הַמָּ֑יִם . . . , ham·mā·yim וּבְנוֹת֙ and the daughters ū·ḇə·nō·wṯ אַנְשֵׁ֣י of the townspeople ’an·šê הָעִ֔יר . . . hā·‘îr יֹצְאֹ֖ת are coming out yō·ṣə·’ōṯ לִשְׁאֹ֥ב to draw liš·’ōḇ מָֽיִם׃ water . mā·yim Genesis 24:14 וְהָיָ֣ה Now may it happen wə·hā·yāh הַֽנַּעֲרָ֗ that the girl han·na·‘ă·rā אֵלֶ֙יהָ֙ to ’ê·le·hā אֲשֶׁ֨ר whom ’ă·šer אֹמַ֤ר I say , ’ō·mar נָ֤א ‘ Please nā הַטִּי־ let down haṭ·ṭî- כַדֵּךְ֙ your jar ḵad·dêḵ וְאֶשְׁתֶּ֔ה that I may drink , ’ wə·’eš·teh וְאָמְרָ֣ה and who responds , wə·’ā·mə·rāh שְׁתֵ֔ה ‘ Drink , šə·ṯêh אַשְׁקֶ֑ה and I will water ’aš·qeh אֹתָ֤הּ - ’ō·ṯāh גְּמַלֶּ֖יךָ your camels gə·mal·le·ḵā וְגַם־ as well ’— wə·ḡam- הֹכַ֙חְתָּ֙ let her be the one You have appointed hō·ḵaḥ·tā לְעַבְדְּךָ֣ for Your servant lə·‘aḇ·də·ḵā לְיִצְחָ֔ק Isaac . lə·yiṣ·ḥāq וּבָ֣הּ By this ū·ḇāh אֵדַ֔ע I will know ’ê·ḏa‘ כִּי־ that kî- עָשִׂ֥יתָ You have shown ‘ā·śî·ṯā חֶ֖סֶד kindness ḥe·seḏ עִם־ to ‘im- אֲדֹנִֽי׃ my master . ” ’ă·ḏō·nî Genesis 24:15 וַֽיְהִי־ - way·hî- טֶרֶם֮ Before ṭe·rem ה֗וּא [the servant] hū כִּלָּ֣ה had finished kil·lāh לְדַבֵּר֒ praying , lə·ḏab·bêr וְהִנֵּ֧ה - wə·hin·nêh רִבְקָ֣ה Rebekah riḇ·qāh יֹצֵ֗את came out yō·ṣêṯ וְכַדָּ֖הּ with her jar wə·ḵad·dāh עַל־ on ‘al- שִׁכְמָֽהּ׃ her shoulder . šiḵ·māh אֲשֶׁ֤ר She ’ă·šer יֻלְּדָה֙ was yul·lə·ḏāh לִבְתוּאֵ֣ל the daughter of Bethuel liḇ·ṯū·’êl בֶּן־ son ben- מִלְכָּ֔ה of Milcah , mil·kāh אֵ֥שֶׁת the wife ’ê·šeṯ אַבְרָהָ֑ם of Abraham’s ’aḇ·rā·hām אֲחִ֣י brother ’ă·ḥî נָח֖וֹר Nahor . nā·ḥō·wr
