וְלֹֽא־ . . . wə·lō- הִקְשִׁ֥יבוּ or pay attention hiq·šî·ḇū אֵלַ֖י to Me , ’ê·lay נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH . Yah·weh Zechariah 1:5 אַיֵּה־ Where ’ay·yêh- הֵ֑ם . . . hêm אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם are your fathers now ? ’ă·ḇō·w·ṯê·ḵem וְהַ֨נְּבִאִ֔ים And the prophets , wə·han·nə·ḇi·’îm יִֽחְיֽוּ׃ do they live yiḥ·yū הַלְעוֹלָ֖ם forever ? hal·‘ō·w·lām Zechariah 1:6 אַ֣ךְ׀ But ’aḵ הֲל֥וֹא did not hă·lō·w דְּבָרַ֣י My words də·ḇā·ray וְחֻקַּ֗י and My statutes , wə·ḥuq·qay אֲשֶׁ֤ר which ’ă·šer צִוִּ֙יתִי֙ I commanded ṣiw·wî·ṯî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֲבָדַ֣י My servants ‘ă·ḇā·ḏay הַנְּבִיאִ֔ים the prophets , han·nə·ḇî·’îm הִשִּׂ֖יגוּ overtake hiś·śî·ḡū אֲבֹתֵיכֶ֑ם your fathers ? ’ă·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem וַיָּשׁ֣וּבוּ They repented way·yā·šū·ḇū וַיֹּאמְר֗וּ and said , way·yō·mə·rū כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר ‘ Just as ka·’ă·šer יְהוָ֤ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָאוֹת֙ of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ זָמַ֜ם purposed zā·mam לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת to do la·‘ă·śō·wṯ לָ֔נוּ to us lā·nū כִּדְרָכֵ֙ינוּ֙ according to our ways kiḏ·rā·ḵê·nū וּכְמַ֣עֲלָלֵ֔ינוּ and deeds , ū·ḵə·ma·‘ă·lā·lê·nū כֵּ֖ן so kên עָשָׂ֥ה He has done ‘ā·śāh אִתָּֽנוּ׃ס to us . ’” ’it·tā·nū Zechariah 1:7 עֶשְׂרִ֨ים On the twenty-fourth ‘eś·rîm וְאַרְבָּעָ֜ה . . . wə·’ar·bā·‘āh בְּיוֹם֩ day bə·yō·wm לְעַשְׁתֵּֽי־ of the eleventh lə·‘aš·tê- עָשָׂ֥ר . . . ‘ā·śār חֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ month , ḥō·ḏeš הוּא־ - hū- חֹ֣דֶשׁ the month ḥō·ḏeš שְׁבָ֔ט of Shebat , šə·ḇāṭ שְׁתַּ֖יִם in the second šə·ta·yim בִּשְׁנַ֥ת year biš·naṯ לְדָרְיָ֑וֶשׁ of Darius , lə·ḏā·rə·yā·weš דְבַר־ the word ḏə·ḇar- יְהוָ֗ה of YHWH Yah·weh הָיָ֣ה came hā·yāh אֶל־ to ’el- הַנָּבִ֖יא the prophet han·nā·ḇî זְכַרְיָה֙ Zechariah zə·ḵar·yāh בֶּן־ son ben- בֶּ֣רֶכְיָ֔הוּ of Berechiah , be·reḵ·yā·hū בֶּן־ the son ben- עִדּ֥וֹא of Iddo ‘id·dō·w לֵאמֹֽר׃ . lê·mōr Zechariah 1:8 רָאִ֣יתִי׀ I looked out rā·’î·ṯî הַלַּ֗יְלָה into the night hal·lay·lāh וְהִנֵּה־ and saw wə·hin·nêh- אִישׁ֙ a man ’îš רֹכֵב֙ riding rō·ḵêḇ עַל־ on ‘al- אָדֹ֔ם a red ’ā·ḏōm ס֣וּס horse . sūs וְה֣וּא He wə·hū עֹמֵ֔ד was standing ‘ō·mêḏ בֵּ֥ין among bên הַהֲדַסִּ֖ים the myrtle trees ha·hă·ḏas·sîm אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer בַּמְּצֻלָ֑ה in the hollow , bam·mə·ṣu·lāh וְאַחֲרָיו֙ and behind him wə·’a·ḥă·rāw אֲדֻמִּ֔ים were red , ’ă·ḏum·mîm שְׂרֻקִּ֖ים sorrel , śə·ruq·qîm וּלְבָנִֽים׃ and white ū·lə·ḇā·nîm סוּסִ֣ים horses . sū·sîm Zechariah 1:9 מָה־ “ What māh- אֵ֣לֶּה are these , ’êl·leh אֲדֹנִ֑י my lord ? ” ’ă·ḏō·nî וָאֹמַ֖ר I asked . wā·’ō·mar הַמַּלְאָךְ֙ And the angel ham·mal·’āḵ הַדֹּבֵ֣ר who was speaking had·dō·ḇêr בִּ֔י with me bî וַיֹּ֣אמֶר replied way·yō·mer
