אֵלַ֗י . . . , ’ê·lay אֲנִ֥י “ I ’ă·nî אַרְאֶ֖ךָּ will show ’ar·’e·kā מָה־ you what māh- הֵ֥מָּה they are hêm·māh אֵֽלֶּה׃ . . . . ” ’êl·leh Zechariah 1:10 הָאִ֛ישׁ Then the man hā·’îš הָעֹמֵ֥ד standing hā·‘ō·mêḏ בֵּין־ among bên- הַהַדַסִּ֖ים the myrtle trees ha·ha·ḏas·sīm וַיֹּאמַ֑ר . . . way·yō·mar וַיַּ֗עַן explained , way·ya·‘an אֵ֚לֶּה “ They ’êl·leh אֲשֶׁ֣ר are the ones ’ă·šer יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh שָׁלַ֣ח has sent šā·laḥ לְהִתְהַלֵּ֖ךְ to patrol lə·hiṯ·hal·lêḵ בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ the earth . ” bā·’ā·reṣ Zechariah 1:11 וַֽיַּעֲנ֞וּ And [the riders] answered way·ya·‘ă·nū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מַלְאַ֣ךְ the angel mal·’aḵ יְהוָ֗ה of YHWH Yah·weh הָֽעֹמֵד֙ who was standing hā·‘ō·mêḏ בֵּ֣ין among bên הַהֲדַסִּ֔ים the myrtle trees ha·hă·ḏas·sîm וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ . . . , way·yō·mə·rū הִתְהַלַּ֣כְנוּ “ We have patrolled hiṯ·hal·laḵ·nū בָאָ֑רֶץ the earth , ḇā·’ā·reṣ וְהִנֵּ֥ה and behold , wə·hin·nêh כָל־ all ḵāl הָאָ֖רֶץ the earth hā·’ā·reṣ יֹשֶׁ֥בֶת is at rest yō·še·ḇeṯ וְשֹׁקָֽטֶת׃ and tranquil . ” wə·šō·qā·ṭeṯ Zechariah 1:12 מַלְאַךְ־ Then the angel mal·’aḵ- יְהוָה֮ of YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּאמַר֒ said way·yō·mar וַיַּ֣עַן . . . , way·ya·‘an עַד־ “ How long ‘aḏ- מָתַ֗י . . . , mā·ṯay יְהוָ֣ה O YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֔וֹת of Hosts , ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אַתָּה֙ will You ’at·tāh לֹֽא־ withhold mercy lō- תְרַחֵ֣ם . . . ṯə·ra·ḥêm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם from Jerusalem yə·rū·šā·lim וְאֵ֖ת - wə·’êṯ עָרֵ֣י and the cities ‘ā·rê יְהוּדָ֑ה of Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh אֲשֶׁ֣ר with which ’ă·šer זָעַ֔מְתָּה You have been angry zā·‘am·tāh זֶ֖ה these zeh שִׁבְעִ֥ים seventy šiḇ·‘îm שָׁנָֽה׃ years ? ” šā·nāh Zechariah 1:13 יְהוָ֗ה So YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיַּ֣עַן spoke way·ya·‘an טוֹבִ֑ים kind ṭō·w·ḇîm דְּבָרִ֖ים - də·ḇā·rîm נִחֻמִֽים׃ and comforting ni·ḥu·mîm דְּבָרִ֣ים words də·ḇā·rîm הַמַּלְאָ֛ךְ to the angel ham·mal·’āḵ הַדֹּבֵ֥ר who was speaking had·dō·ḇêr בִּ֖י with me . bî Zechariah 1:14 הַמַּלְאָךְ֙ Then the angel ham·mal·’āḵ הַדֹּבֵ֣ר who was speaking had·dō·ḇêr בִּ֔י with me bî וַיֹּ֣אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֵלַ֗י . . . , ’ê·lay קְרָ֣א “ Proclaim qə·rā לֵאמֹ֔ר this word : lê·mōr כֹּ֥ה This is what kōh יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh צְבָא֑וֹת of Hosts ṣə·ḇā·’ō·wṯ אָמַ֖ר says : ’ā·mar גְדוֹלָֽה׃ ‘ I am very ḡə·ḏō·w·lāh קִנֵּ֧אתִי jealous qin·nê·ṯî קִנְאָ֥ה . . . qin·’āh לִירוּשָׁלִַ֛ם for Jerusalem lî·rū·šā·lim וּלְצִיּ֖וֹן and Zion , ū·lə·ṣî·yō·wn Zechariah 1:15 אֲנִ֣י but I ’ă·nî וְקֶ֤צֶף am fiercely angry wə·qe·ṣep̄
