Zephaniah 1:7 הַ֕ס Be silent has מִפְּנֵ֖י in the presence mip·pə·nê אֲדֹנָ֣י of the Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהוִ֑ה YHWH , Yah·weh כִּ֤י for kî י֣וֹם the Day yō·wm יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH Yah·weh קָרוֹב֙ is near . qā·rō·wḇ כִּֽי־ Indeed , kî- יְהוָ֛ה YHWH Yah·weh הֵכִ֧ין has prepared hê·ḵîn זֶ֖בַח a sacrifice ; ze·ḇaḥ הִקְדִּ֥ישׁ He has consecrated hiq·dîš קְרֻאָֽיו׃ His guests . qə·ru·’āw Zephaniah 1:8 וְהָיָ֗ה “ - wə·hā·yāh בְּיוֹם֙ On the Day bə·yō·wm יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH’s Yah·weh זֶ֣בַח sacrifice ze·ḇaḥ וּפָקַדְתִּ֥י I will punish ū·p̄ā·qaḏ·tî עַל־ . . . ‘al- הַשָּׂרִ֖ים the princes , haś·śā·rîm וְעַל־ - wə·‘al- בְּנֵ֣י the sons bə·nê הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ of the king , ham·me·leḵ וְעַ֥ל and wə·‘al כָּל־ all kāl- הַלֹּבְשִׁ֖ים who are dressed hal·lō·ḇə·šîm נָכְרִֽי׃ in foreign nā·ḵə·rî מַלְבּ֥וּשׁ apparel . mal·būš Zephaniah 1:9 הַה֑וּא On that ha·hū בַּיּ֣וֹם day bay·yō·wm וּפָקַדְתִּ֗י I will punish ū·p̄ā·qaḏ·tî כָּל־ all kāl- הַדּוֹלֵ֛ג who leap had·dō·w·lêḡ עַל־ . . . ‘al- עַ֧ל over ‘al הַמִּפְתָּ֖ן the threshold , ham·mip̄·tān הַֽמְמַלְאִ֛ים who fill ham·mal·’îm בֵּ֥ית the house bêṯ אֲדֹנֵיהֶ֖ם of their master ’ă·ḏō·nê·hem חָמָ֥ס with violence ḥā·mās וּמִרְמָֽה׃ס and deceit . ū·mir·māh Zephaniah 1:10 הַה֜וּא On that ha·hū בַיּ֨וֹם day , ” ḇay·yō·wm נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָ֗ה YHWH , Yah·weh ק֤וֹל “ a cry qō·wl צְעָקָה֙ . . . ṣə·‘ā·qāh וְהָיָה֩ will go up wə·hā·yāh מִן־ from min- הַדָּגִ֔ים the Fish had·dā·ḡîm מִשַּׁ֣עַר Gate , miš·ša·‘ar וִֽילָלָ֖ה a wail wî·lā·lāh הַמִּשְׁנֶ֑ה from the Second District , ham·miš·neh גָּד֖וֹל and a loud gā·ḏō·wl וְשֶׁ֥בֶר crashing wə·še·ḇer מֵהַגְּבָעֽוֹת׃ from the hills . mê·hag·gə·ḇā·‘ō·wṯ Zephaniah 1:11 הֵילִ֖ילוּ Wail , hê·lî·lū יֹשְׁבֵ֣י O dwellers yō·šə·ḇê הַמַּכְתֵּ֑שׁ of the Hollow , ham·maḵ·têš כִּ֤י for kî כָּל־ all kāl- עַ֣ם your merchants ‘am כְּנַ֔עַן . . . kə·na·‘an נִדְמָה֙ will be silenced ; niḏ·māh כָּל־ all kāl- נְטִ֥ילֵי who weigh out nə·ṭî·lê כָֽסֶף׃ silver ḵā·sep̄ נִכְרְת֖וּ will be cut off . niḵ·rə·ṯū Zephaniah 1:12 וְהָיָה֙ And wə·hā·yāh הַהִ֔יא at that ha·hî בָּעֵ֣ת time bā·‘êṯ אֲחַפֵּ֥שׂ I will search ’ă·ḥap·pêś אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם Jerusalem yə·rū·šā·lim בַּנֵּר֑וֹת with lamps ban·nê·rō·wṯ וּפָקַדְתִּ֣י and punish ū·p̄ā·qaḏ·tî עַל־ - ‘al- הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים the men hā·’ă·nā·šîm הַקֹּֽפְאִים֙ settled haq·qō·p̄ə·’îm עַל־ in ‘al- שִׁמְרֵיהֶ֔ם complacency , šim·rê·hem הָאֹֽמְרִים֙ who say hā·’ō·mə·rîm בִּלְבָבָ֔ם to themselves , bil·ḇā·ḇām
