Esther 1:3 שָׁלוֹשׁ֙ In the third šā·lō·wōš בִּשְׁנַ֤ת year biš·naṯ לְמָלְכ֔וֹ of his reign , lə·mā·lə·ḵōw עָשָׂ֣ה [Xerxes] held ‘ā·śāh מִשְׁתֶּ֔ה a feast miš·teh לְכָל־ for all lə·ḵāl שָׂרָ֖יו his officials śā·rāw וַעֲבָדָ֑יו and servants . wa·‘ă·ḇā·ḏāw חֵ֣יל׀ The military leaders ḥêl פָּרַ֣ס of Persia pā·ras וּמָדַ֗י and Media ū·mā·ḏay לְפָנָֽיו׃ [were there] , lə·p̄ā·nāw הַֽפַּרְתְּמִ֛ים along with the nobles hap·par·tə·mîm וְשָׂרֵ֥י and princes wə·śā·rê הַמְּדִינ֖וֹת of the provinces . ham·mə·ḏî·nō·wṯ Esther 1:4 רַבִּ֔ים And for a full rab·bîm שְׁמוֹנִ֥ים 180 šə·mō·w·nîm וּמְאַ֖ת . . . ū·mə·’aṯ יֽוֹם׃ . . . yō·wm יָמִ֣ים days yā·mîm בְּהַרְאֹת֗וֹ he displayed bə·har·’ō·ṯōw אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כְּב֣וֹד the glorious kə·ḇō·wḏ עֹ֙שֶׁר֙ riches ‘ō·šer מַלְכוּת֔וֹ of his kingdom mal·ḵū·ṯōw וְאֶ֨ת־ and wə·’eṯ- תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת the magnificent tip̄·’e·reṯ יְקָ֔ר splendor yə·qār גְּדוּלָּת֑וֹ of his greatness . gə·ḏūl·lā·ṯōw Esther 1:5 וּבִמְל֣וֹאת׀ At the end ū·ḇim·lō·wṯ הָאֵ֗לֶּה of this hā·’êl·leh הַיָּמִ֣ים time , hay·yā·mîm גִּנַּ֥ת in the garden gin·naṯ בַּחֲצַ֕ר court ba·ḥă·ṣar הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ of the royal ham·me·leḵ בִּיתַ֖ן palace , bî·ṯan הַמֶּ֡לֶךְ the king ham·me·leḵ עָשָׂ֣ה held ‘ā·śāh שִׁבְעַ֣ת a seven-day šiḇ·‘aṯ יָמִ֑ים . . . yā·mîm מִשְׁתֶּ֖ה feast miš·teh לְכָל־ for all lə·ḵāl הָעָ֣ם the people hā·‘ām הַנִּמְצְאִים֩ - han·nim·ṣə·’îm הַבִּירָ֜ה in the citadel hab·bî·rāh בְּשׁוּשַׁ֨ן of Susa , bə·šū·šan קָטָ֛ן from the least qā·ṭān וְעַד־ to wə·‘aḏ- לְמִגָּ֧דוֹל the greatest . lə·mig·gā·ḏō·wl Esther 1:6 ח֣וּר׀ [Hangings of] white ḥūr וּתְכֵ֗לֶת and blue ū·ṯə·ḵê·leṯ כַּרְפַּ֣ס linen kar·pas אָחוּז֙ were fastened ’ā·ḥūz בְּחַבְלֵי־ with cords bə·ḥaḇ·lê- ב֣וּץ of fine white ḇūṣ וְאַרְגָּמָ֔ן and purple [material] wə·’ar·gā·mān עַל־ to ‘al- כֶ֖סֶף silver ḵe·sep̄ גְּלִ֥ילֵי rings gə·lî·lê שֵׁ֑שׁ on the marble šêš וְעַמּ֣וּדֵי pillars . wə·‘am·mū·ḏê זָהָ֣ב Gold zā·hāḇ וָכֶ֗סֶף and silver wā·ḵe·sep̄ מִטּ֣וֹת׀ couches miṭ·ṭō·wṯ עַ֛ל were arranged ‘al רִֽצְפַ֥ת on a mosaic pavement riṣ·p̄aṯ בַּהַט־ of porphyry , ba·haṭ- וָשֵׁ֖שׁ marble , wā·šêš וְדַ֥ר mother-of-pearl , wə·ḏar וְסֹחָֽרֶת׃ and other costly stones . wə·sō·ḥā·reṯ Esther 1:7 וְהַשְׁקוֹת֙ Beverages were served wə·haš·qō·wṯ בִּכְלֵ֣י in an array of goblets biḵ·lê זָהָ֔ב of gold , zā·hāḇ וְכֵלִ֖ים each wə·ḵê·lîm מִכֵּלִ֣ים . . . mik·kê·lîm שׁוֹנִ֑ים with a different design , šō·w·nîm מַלְכ֛וּת and the royal mal·ḵūṯ וְיֵ֥ין wine wə·yên רָ֖ב flowed freely , rāḇ הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ according to the king’s ham·me·leḵ כְּיַ֥ד bounty . kə·yaḏ Esther 1:8 כַדָּ֖ת By ḵad·dāṯ יִסַּ֣ד order yis·saḏ
