תֹּם֙ . . . tōm הַחֲמִישִֽׁי׃ס the fifth ha·ḥă·mî·šî בַּחֹ֥דֶשׁ month ba·ḥō·ḏeš עַשְׁתֵּ֣י of the eleventh ‘aš·tê עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה . . . ‘eś·rêh שָׁנָ֔ה year šā·nāh לְצִדְקִיָּ֥הוּ of Zedekiah lə·ṣiḏ·qî·yā·hū בֶן־ son ḇen- יֹאשִׁיָּ֖הוּ of Josiah yō·šî·yā·hū מֶ֣לֶךְ king me·leḵ יְהוּדָ֑ה of Judah , yə·hū·ḏāh עַד־ when ‘aḏ- יְרוּשָׁלִַ֖ם the people of Jerusalem yə·rū·šā·lim גְּל֥וֹת went into exile . gə·lō·wṯ Jeremiah 1:4 דְבַר־ The word ḏə·ḇar- יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH Yah·weh וַיְהִ֥י came way·hî אֵלַ֥י to me , ’ê·lay לֵאמֹֽר׃ saying : lê·mōr Jeremiah 1:5 בְּטֶ֨רֶם “ Before bə·ṭe·rem אֶצּוֹרְךָ I formed ʾɛṣ·ṣō·rə·ḵå̄ בַבֶּ֙טֶן֙ you in the womb ḇab·be·ṭen יְדַעְתִּ֔יךָ I knew you , yə·ḏa‘·tî·ḵā וּבְטֶ֛רֶם and before ū·ḇə·ṭe·rem תֵּצֵ֥א you were born tê·ṣê מֵרֶ֖חֶם . . . mê·re·ḥem הִקְדַּשְׁתִּ֑יךָ I set you apart hiq·daš·tî·ḵā נְתַתִּֽיךָ׃ [and] appointed you nə·ṯat·tî·ḵā נָבִ֥יא as a prophet nā·ḇî לַגּוֹיִ֖ם to the nations . ” lag·gō·w·yim Jeremiah 1:6 אֲהָהּ֙ “ Ah , ’ă·hāh אֲדֹנָ֣י Lord ’ă·ḏō·nāy יְהֹוִ֔ה YHWH , ” Yah·weh וָאֹמַ֗ר I said , wā·’ō·mar הִנֵּ֥ה “ I surely hin·nêh לֹא־ do not lō- יָדַ֖עְתִּי know yā·ḏa‘·tî דַּבֵּ֑ר how to speak , dab·bēr כִּי־ for kî- אָנֹֽכִי׃פ I [am] ’ā·nō·ḵî נַ֖עַר only a child !” na·‘ar Jeremiah 1:7 יְהוָה֙ But YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֤אמֶר told way·yō·mer אֵלַ֔י me : ’ê·lay אַל־ “ Do not ’al- תֹּאמַ֖ר say , tō·mar אָנֹ֑כִי ‘ I [am] ’ā·nō·ḵî נַ֣עַר only a child . ’ na·‘ar כִּ֠י For kî עַֽל־ to ‘al- כָּל־ everyone kāl- אֲשֶׁ֤ר - ’ă·šer אֶֽשְׁלָחֲךָ֙ I send you , ’eš·lā·ḥă·ḵā תֵּלֵ֔ךְ you must go tê·lêḵ וְאֵ֛ת - , wə·’êṯ כָּל־ and all kāl- אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer אֲצַוְּךָ֖ I command you , ’ă·ṣaw·wə·ḵā תְּדַבֵּֽר׃ you must speak . tə·ḏab·bêr Jeremiah 1:8 אַל־ Do not ’al- תִּירָ֖א be afraid tî·rā מִפְּנֵיהֶ֑ם of them , mip·pə·nê·hem כִּֽי־ for kî- אֲנִ֛י I [am] ’ă·nî אִתְּךָ֥ with you ’it·tə·ḵā לְהַצִּלֶ֖ךָ to deliver you , ” lə·haṣ·ṣi·le·ḵā נְאֻם־ declares nə·’um- יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH . Yah·weh Jeremiah 1:9 יְהוָה֙ Then YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח reached out way·yiš·laḥ יָד֔וֹ His hand , yā·ḏōw וַיַּגַּ֖ע touched way·yag·ga‘ עַל־ . . . ‘al- פִּ֑י my mouth , pî וַיֹּ֤אמֶר and said way·yō·mer יְהוָה֙ . . . Yah·weh אֵלַ֔י to me : ’ê·lay הִנֵּ֛ה “ Behold , hin·nêh נָתַ֥תִּי I have put nā·ṯat·tî דְבָרַ֖י My words ḏə·ḇā·ray בְּפִֽיךָ׃ in your mouth . bə·p̄î·ḵā
