לַעֲמֹרָ֖ה Gomorrah . la·‘ă·mō·rāh Isaiah 1:10 שִׁמְע֥וּ Hear šim·‘ū דְבַר־ the word ḏə·ḇar- יְהוָ֖ה of YHWH , Yah·weh קְצִינֵ֣י you rulers qə·ṣî·nê סְדֹ֑ם of Sodom ; sə·ḏōm הַאֲזִ֛ינוּ listen ha·’ă·zî·nū תּוֹרַ֥ת to the instruction tō·w·raṯ אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ of our God , ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū עַ֥ם you people ‘am עֲמֹרָֽה׃ of Gomorrah ! ‘ă·mō·rāh Isaiah 1:11 לָמָּה־ “ What [good] lām·māh- לִּ֤י to Me lî רֹב־ [is] your multitude rōḇ- זִבְחֵיכֶם֙ of sacrifices ? ” ziḇ·ḥê·ḵem יֹאמַ֣ר says yō·mar יְהוָ֔ה YHWH . Yah·weh שָׂבַ֛עְתִּי “ I am full śā·ḇa‘·tî עֹל֥וֹת from the burnt offerings ‘ō·lō·wṯ אֵילִ֖ים of rams ’ê·lîm וְחֵ֣לֶב and the fat wə·ḥê·leḇ מְרִיאִ֑ים of well-fed cattle ; mə·rî·’îm לֹ֥א vvv lō חָפָֽצְתִּי׃ I take no delight ḥā·p̄ā·ṣə·tî וְדַ֨ם in the blood wə·ḏam פָּרִ֧ים of bulls pā·rîm וּכְבָשִׂ֛ים and lambs ū·ḵə·ḇā·śîm וְעַתּוּדִ֖ים and goats . wə·‘at·tū·ḏîm Isaiah 1:12 כִּ֣י When kî תָבֹ֔אוּ you come ṯā·ḇō·’ū לֵרָא֖וֹת to appear lê·rā·’ō·wṯ פָּנָ֑י before Me , pā·nāy מִי־ who mî- בִקֵּ֥שׁ has required ḇiq·qêš זֹ֛את this zōṯ מִיֶּדְכֶ֖ם of you — mî·yeḏ·ḵem רְמֹ֥ס this trampling rə·mōs חֲצֵרָֽי׃ of My courts ? ḥă·ṣê·rāy Isaiah 1:13 הָבִיא֙ Bring hā·ḇî שָׁ֔וְא your worthless šāw מִנְחַת־ offerings min·ḥaṯ- לֹ֣א no lō תוֹסִ֗יפוּ more ; ṯō·w·sî·p̄ū קְטֹ֧רֶת your incense qə·ṭō·reṯ תּוֹעֵבָ֛ה is detestable tō·w·‘ê·ḇāh הִ֖יא . . . hî לִ֑י to Me — lî חֹ֤דֶשׁ [your] New Moons , ḥō·ḏeš וְשַׁבָּת֙ Sabbaths , wə·šab·bāṯ קְרֹ֣א and convocations qə·rō מִקְרָ֔א . . . . miq·rā לֹא־ I cannot lō- אוּכַ֥ל endure ’ū·ḵal אָ֖וֶן iniquity ’ā·wen וַעֲצָרָֽה׃ in a solemn assembly . wa·‘ă·ṣā·rāh Isaiah 1:14 נַפְשִׁ֔י I nap̄·šî שָׂנְאָ֣ה hate śā·nə·’āh חָדְשֵׁיכֶ֤ם your New Moons ḥā·ḏə·šê·ḵem וּמוֹעֲדֵיכֶם֙ and your appointed feasts . ū·mō·w·‘ă·ḏê·ḵem הָי֥וּ They have become hā·yū לָטֹ֑רַח a burden lā·ṭō·raḥ עָלַ֖י to Me ; ‘ā·lay נִלְאֵ֖יתִי I am weary nil·’ê·ṯî נְשֹֽׂא׃ of bearing them . nə·śō Isaiah 1:15 וּבְפָרִשְׂכֶ֣ם When you spread out ū·ḇə·p̄ā·riś·ḵem כַּפֵּיכֶ֗ם your hands in prayer , kap·pê·ḵem אַעְלִ֤ים I will hide ’a‘·lîm עֵינַי֙ My eyes ‘ê·nay מִכֶּ֔ם from you ; mik·kem גַּ֛ם even gam כִּֽי־ though kî- תַרְבּ֥וּ you multiply ṯar·bū תְפִלָּ֖ה your prayers , ṯə·p̄il·lāh אֵינֶ֣נִּי I will not ’ê·nen·nî שֹׁמֵ֑עַ listen . šō·mê·a‘ יְדֵיכֶ֖ם Your hands yə·ḏê·ḵem מָלֵֽאוּ׃ are covered mā·lê·’ū דָּמִ֥ים with blood . dā·mîm Isaiah 1:16 רַחֲצוּ֙ Wash ra·ḥă·ṣū
