מִשְׁקָלָֽם׃ weighing miš·qā·lām עֲשָׂרָ֥ה ten [shekels] . ‘ă·śā·rāh Genesis 24:23 מִ֣י “ Whose mî בַּת־ daughter baṯ- אַ֔תְּ are you ? ” ’at וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ he asked . way·yō·mer נָ֖א “ Please nā הַגִּ֥ידִי tell hag·gî·ḏî לִ֑י me , lî הֲיֵ֧שׁ is there hă·yêš מָק֥וֹם room mā·qō·wm אָבִ֛יךְ in your father’s ’ā·ḇîḵ בֵּית־ house bêṯ- לָ֖נוּ for us lā·nū לָלִֽין׃ to spend the night ? ” lā·lîn Genesis 24:24 וַתֹּ֣אמֶר She replied , wat·tō·mer אֵלָ֔יו . . . ’ê·lāw אָנֹ֑כִי “ I ’ā·nō·ḵî בַּת־ am the daughter baṯ- בְּתוּאֵ֖ל of Bethuel , bə·ṯū·’êl בֶּן־ the son ben- אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer מִלְכָּ֕ה Milcah mil·kāh יָלְדָ֖ה bore yā·lə·ḏāh לְנָחֽוֹר׃ to Nahor . ” lə·nā·ḥō·wr Genesis 24:25 וַתֹּ֣אמֶר Then she added wat·tō·mer אֵלָ֔יו . . . , ’ê·lāw עִמָּ֑נוּ “ We have ‘im·mā·nū גַּם־ . . . gam- רַ֣ב plenty raḇ תֶּ֥בֶן of straw te·ḇen גַּם־ and gam- מִסְפּ֖וֹא feed , mis·pō·w גַּם־ as well as gam- מָק֖וֹם a place [for you] mā·qō·wm לָלֽוּן׃ to spend the night . ” lā·lūn Genesis 24:26 הָאִ֔ישׁ Then the man hā·’îš וַיִּקֹּ֣ד bowed down way·yiq·qōḏ וַיִּשְׁתַּ֖חוּ and worshiped way·yiš·ta·ḥū לַֽיהוָֽה׃ YHWH , Yah·weh Genesis 24:27 וַיֹּ֗אמֶר saying , way·yō·mer בָּר֤וּךְ “ Blessed bā·rūḵ יְהוָה֙ [be] YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵי֙ the God ’ĕ·lō·hê אֲדֹנִ֣י of my master ’ă·ḏō·nî אַבְרָהָ֔ם Abraham , ’aḇ·rā·hām אֲ֠שֶׁר who ’ă·šer לֹֽא־ has not lō- עָזַ֥ב withheld ‘ā·zaḇ חַסְדּ֛וֹ His kindness ḥas·dōw וַאֲמִתּ֖וֹ and faithfulness wa·’ă·mit·tōw מֵעִ֣ם from mê·‘im אֲדֹנִ֑י my master . ’ă·ḏō·nî אָנֹכִ֗י As for me , ’ā·nō·ḵî יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh נָחַ֣נִי has led me nā·ḥa·nî בַּדֶּ֙רֶךְ֙ on the journey bad·de·reḵ בֵּ֖ית to the house bêṯ אֲדֹנִֽי׃ of my master’s ’ă·ḏō·nî אֲחֵ֥י relatives . ” ’ă·ḥê Genesis 24:28 הַֽנַּעֲרָ֔ The girl han·na·‘ă·rā וַתָּ֙רָץ֙ ran wat·tā·rāṣ וַתַּגֵּ֖ד and told wat·tag·gêḏ אִמָּ֑הּ her mother’s ’im·māh לְבֵ֣ית household lə·ḇêṯ הָאֵֽלֶּה׃ about these hā·’êl·leh כַּדְּבָרִ֖ים things . kad·də·ḇā·rîm Genesis 24:29 וּלְרִבְקָ֥ה Now Rebekah ū·lə·riḇ·qāh אָ֖ח had a brother ’āḥ וּשְׁמ֣וֹ named ū·šə·mōw לָבָ֑ן Laban , lā·ḇān לָבָ֧ן and [he] lā·ḇān וַיָּ֨רָץ rushed way·yā·rāṣ הַח֖וּצָה out ha·ḥū·ṣāh אֶל־ to ’el- הָאִ֛ישׁ the man hā·’îš אֶל־ at ’el- הָעָֽיִן׃ the spring . hā·‘ā·yin
