Joshua 2:5 בַּחֹ֙שֶׁךְ֙ At dusk , ba·ḥō·šeḵ הַשַּׁ֜עַר when the gate haš·ša·‘ar וַיְהִ֨י was way·hî לִסְגּ֗וֹר about to close , lis·gō·wr וְהָאֲנָשִׁ֣ים the men wə·hā·’ă·nā·šîm יָצָ֔אוּ went out , yā·ṣā·’ū לֹ֣א and I do not lō יָדַ֔עְתִּי know yā·ḏa‘·tî אָ֥נָה which way ’ā·nāh הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֑ים they hā·’ă·nā·šîm הָלְכ֖וּ went . hā·lə·ḵū רִדְפ֥וּ Pursue riḏ·p̄ū אַחֲרֵיהֶ֖ם them ’a·ḥă·rê·hem מַהֵ֛ר quickly , ma·hêr כִּ֥י and kî תַשִּׂיגֽוּם׃ you may catch them ! ” ṯaś·śî·ḡūm Joshua 2:6 וְהִ֖יא ( But [Rahab] wə·hî הֶעֱלָ֣תַם had taken them up he·‘ĕ·lā·ṯam הַגָּ֑גָה to the roof hag·gā·ḡāh וַֽתִּטְמְנֵם֙ and hidden them wat·tiṭ·mə·nêm הָעֵ֔ץ among the stalks hā·‘êṣ בְּפִשְׁתֵּ֣י of flax bə·p̄iš·tê הָעֲרֻכ֥וֹת that she had laid out hā·‘ă·ru·ḵō·wṯ לָ֖הּ lāh עַל־ vvv ‘al- הַגָּֽג׃ [there] . ) hag·gāḡ Joshua 2:7 וְהָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים So the [king’s] men wə·hā·’ă·nā·šîm רָדְפ֤וּ set out in pursuit rā·ḏə·p̄ū אַֽחֲרֵיהֶם֙ [of the spies] ’a·ḥă·rê·hem דֶּ֣רֶךְ along the road de·reḵ עַ֖ל to ‘al הַֽמַּעְבְּר֑וֹת the fords ham·ma‘·bə·rō·wṯ הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן of the Jordan , hay·yar·dên כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר and as ka·’ă·šer יָצְא֥וּ soon as they yā·ṣə·’ū הָרֹדְפִ֖ים had gone out , hā·rō·ḏə·p̄îm אַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃ . . . ’a·ḥă·rê·hem וְהַשַּׁ֣עַר the gate wə·haš·ša·‘ar סָגָ֔רוּ was shut . sā·ḡā·rū אַחֲרֵ֕י . . . ’a·ḥă·rê Joshua 2:8 טֶ֣רֶם Before ṭe·rem וְהֵ֖מָּה [the spies] wə·hêm·māh יִשְׁכָּב֑וּן lay down for the night , yiš·kā·ḇūn וְהִ֛יא [Rahab] wə·hî עָלְתָ֥ה went up ‘ā·lə·ṯāh עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם on ‘ă·lê·hem עַל־ . . . ‘al- הַגָּֽג׃ the roof hag·gāḡ Joshua 2:9 וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ and said wat·tō·mer אֶל־ to them ’el- הָ֣אֲנָשִׁ֔ים . . . , hā·’ă·nā·šîm יָדַ֕עְתִּי “ I know yā·ḏa‘·tî כִּֽי־ that kî- יְהוָ֛ה YHWH Yah·weh נָתַ֧ן has given nā·ṯan לָכֶ֖ם you lā·ḵem אֶת־ ’eṯ- הָאָ֑רֶץ this land hā·’ā·reṣ וְכִֽי־ and that wə·ḵî- אֵֽימַתְכֶם֙ the fear of you ’ê·maṯ·ḵem נָפְלָ֤ה has fallen nā·p̄ə·lāh עָלֵ֔ינוּ on us , ‘ā·lê·nū וְכִ֥י so that wə·ḵî כָּל־ all kāl- יֹשְׁבֵ֥י who dwell yō·šə·ḇê הָאָ֖רֶץ in the land hā·’ā·reṣ נָמֹ֛גוּ are melting in fear nā·mō·ḡū מִפְּנֵיכֶֽם׃ of you . mip·pə·nê·ḵem Joshua 2:10 כִּ֣י For kî שָׁמַ֗עְנוּ we have heard šā·ma‘·nū אֵ֠ת - ’êṯ אֲשֶׁר־ how ’ă·šer- יְהוָ֜ה YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הוֹבִ֨ישׁ dried up hō·w·ḇîš מֵ֤י the waters mê סוּף֙ of the Red sūp̄ יַם־ Sea yam- מִפְּנֵיכֶ֔ם before you mip·pə·nê·ḵem בְּצֵאתְכֶ֖ם when you came out bə·ṣê·ṯə·ḵem מִמִּצְרָ֑יִם of Egypt , mim·miṣ·rā·yim וַאֲשֶׁ֣ר and what wa·’ă·šer עֲשִׂיתֶ֡ם you did ‘ă·śî·ṯem לְסִיחֹ֣ן to Sihon lə·sî·ḥōn
