וַיִּקְרָ֨א called way·yiq·rā לִֽיהוֹשֻׁ֗עַ for Joshua lî·hō·wō·šu·a‘ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר and said way·yō·mer אֵלָ֜יו to him ’ê·lāw לְעֵינֵ֣י in the presence lə·‘ê·nê כָל־ of all ḵāl יִשְׂרָאֵ֘ל Israel , yiś·rå̄·ʾēl חֲזַ֣ק “ Be strong ḥă·zaq וֶאֱמָץ֒ and courageous , we·’ĕ·māṣ כִּ֣י for kî אַתָּ֗ה you ’at·tāh תָּבוֹא֙ will go tā·ḇō·w אֶת־ with ’eṯ- הַזֶּ֔ה this haz·zeh הָעָ֣ם people hā·‘ām אֶל־ into ’el- הָאָ֕רֶץ the land hā·’ā·reṣ אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ’ă·šer יְהוָ֛ה YHWH Yah·weh נִשְׁבַּ֧ע swore niš·ba‘ לַאֲבֹתָ֖ם to their fathers la·’ă·ḇō·ṯām לָתֵ֣ת to give lā·ṯêṯ לָהֶ֑ם them , lā·hem וְאַתָּ֖ה and you wə·’at·tāh תַּנְחִילֶ֥נָּה shall give it to them as an inheritance . tan·ḥî·len·nāh אוֹתָֽם׃ - ’ō·w·ṯām Deuteronomy 31:8 וַֽיהוָ֞ה YHWH Yah·weh ה֣וּא׀ Himself hū הַהֹלֵ֣ךְ goes ha·hō·lêḵ לְפָנֶ֗יךָ before you ; lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā ה֚וּא He hū יִהְיֶ֣ה will be yih·yeh עִמָּ֔ךְ with you . ‘im·māḵ לֹ֥א He will never lō יַרְפְּךָ֖ leave you yar·pə·ḵā וְלֹ֣א nor wə·lō יַֽעַזְבֶ֑ךָּ forsake you . ya·‘az·ḇe·kā לֹ֥א Do not lō תִירָ֖א be afraid ṯî·rā וְלֹ֥א [or] wə·lō תֵחָֽת׃ discouraged . ” ṯê·ḥāṯ Deuteronomy 31:9 מֹשֶׁה֮ So Moses mō·šeh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּכְתֹּ֣ב wrote down way·yiḵ·tōḇ הַזֹּאת֒ this haz·zōṯ הַתּוֹרָ֣ה law hat·tō·w·rāh וַֽיִּתְּנָ֗הּ and gave way·yit·tə·nāh אֶל־ it to ’el- הַכֹּהֲנִים֙ the priests , hak·kō·hă·nîm בְּנֵ֣י the sons bə·nê לֵוִ֔י of Levi , lê·wî הַנֹּ֣שְׂאִ֔ים who carried han·nō·śə·’îm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲר֖וֹן the ark ’ă·rō·wn בְּרִ֣ית of the covenant bə·rîṯ יְהוָ֑ה of YHWH , Yah·weh וְאֶל־ and to wə·’el- כָּל־ all kāl- זִקְנֵ֖י the elders ziq·nê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Deuteronomy 31:10 מֹשֶׁ֖ה Then Moses mō·šeh אוֹתָ֣ם - ’ō·w·ṯām לֵאמֹ֑ר - lê·mōr וַיְצַ֥ו commanded them , way·ṣaw מִקֵּ֣ץ׀ “ At the end miq·qêṣ שֶׁ֣בַע of [every] seven še·ḇa‘ שָׁנִ֗ים years , šā·nîm בְּמֹעֵ֛ד at the appointed time bə·mō·‘êḏ שְׁנַ֥ת in the year šə·naṯ הַשְּׁמִטָּ֖ה of remission [of debt] , haš·šə·miṭ·ṭāh בְּחַ֥ג during the Feast bə·ḥaḡ הַסֻּכּֽוֹת׃ of Tabernacles , has·suk·kō·wṯ Deuteronomy 31:11 כָל־ when all ḵāl יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל Israel yiś·rā·’êl לֵרָאוֹת֙ . . . lê·rā·’ō·wṯ אֶת־ . . . ’eṯ- בְּב֣וֹא comes bə·ḇō·w פְּנֵי֙ before pə·nê יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā בַּמָּק֖וֹם at the place bam·mā·qō·wm אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer יִבְחָ֑ר He will choose , yiḇ·ḥār תִּקְרָ֞א you are to read tiq·rā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַזֹּ֛את this haz·zōṯ הַתּוֹרָ֥ה law hat·tō·w·rāh בְּאָזְנֵיהֶֽם׃ in the hearing bə·’ā·zə·nê·hem
