אַתָּ֥ה you ’at·tāh בָא־ are entering ḇā- שָׁ֖מָּה . . . šām·māh לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃ to possess . lə·riš·tāh Deuteronomy 30:17 וְאִם־ But if wə·’im- לְבָבְךָ֖ your heart lə·ḇā·ḇə·ḵā יִפְנֶ֥ה turns away yip̄·neh וְלֹ֣א and you do not wə·lō תִשְׁמָ֑ע listen , ṯiš·mā‘ וְנִדַּחְתָּ֗ but are drawn away wə·nid·daḥ·tā וְהִֽשְׁתַּחֲוִ֛יתָ to bow down wə·hiš·ta·ḥă·wî·ṯā אֲחֵרִ֖ים to other ’ă·ḥê·rîm לֵאלֹהִ֥ים gods lê·lō·hîm וַעֲבַדְתָּֽם׃ and worship them , wa·‘ă·ḇaḏ·tām Deuteronomy 30:18 הִגַּ֤דְתִּי I declare hig·gaḏ·tî לָכֶם֙ to you lā·ḵem הַיּ֔וֹם today hay·yō·wm כִּ֥י that kî אָבֹ֖ד you will surely perish ’ā·ḇōḏ תֹּאבֵד֑וּן . . . ; tō·ḇê·ḏūn לֹא־ vvv lō- תַאֲרִיכֻ֤ן you shall not prolong ṯa·’ă·rî·ḵun יָמִים֙ [your] days yā·mîm עַל־ in ‘al- הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה the land hā·’ă·ḏā·māh אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ’ă·šer אַתָּ֤ה you ’at·tāh עֹבֵר֙ are crossing ‘ō·ḇêr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן the Jordan hay·yar·dên לָבֹ֥א vvv lå̄·ḇō שָׁ֖מָּה vvv šām·māh לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃ to possess . lə·riš·tāh Deuteronomy 30:19 הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם I call heaven haš·šā·ma·yim וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הָאָרֶץ֒ and earth hā·’ā·reṣ הַעִידֹ֨תִי as witnesses ha·‘î·ḏō·ṯî בָכֶ֣ם against you ḇā·ḵem הַיּוֹם֮ today hay·yō·wm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- נָתַ֣תִּי that I have set nā·ṯat·tî לְפָנֶ֔יךָ before lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā הַחַיִּ֤ים you life ha·ḥay·yîm וְהַמָּ֙וֶת֙ and death , wə·ham·mā·weṯ הַבְּרָכָ֖ה blessing hab·bə·rā·ḵāh וְהַקְּלָלָ֑ה and cursing . wə·haq·qə·lā·lāh וּבָֽחַרְתָּ֙ Therefore choose ū·ḇā·ḥar·tā בַּֽחַיִּ֔ים life , ba·ḥay·yîm לְמַ֥עַן so that lə·ma·‘an אַתָּ֥ה you ’at·tāh וְזַרְעֶֽךָ׃ and your descendants wə·zar·‘e·ḵā תִּחְיֶ֖ה may live , tiḥ·yeh Deuteronomy 30:20 לְאַֽהֲבָה֙ and that you may love lə·’a·hă·ḇāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ your God , ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā לִשְׁמֹ֥עַ obey Him , liš·mō·a‘ בְּקֹל֖וֹ . . . bə·qō·lōw וּלְדָבְקָה־ and hold fast ū·lə·ḏā·ḇə·qāh- ב֑וֹ to Him . ḇōw כִּ֣י For kî ה֤וּא He [is] hū חַיֶּ֙יךָ֙ your life , ḥay·ye·ḵā וְאֹ֣רֶךְ and He will prolong wə·’ō·reḵ יָמֶ֔יךָ your life yā·me·ḵā לָשֶׁ֣בֶת . . . lā·še·ḇeṯ עַל־ in ‘al- הָאֲדָמָ֗ה the land hā·’ă·ḏā·māh אֲשֶׁר֩ that ’ă·šer יְהוָ֧ה YHWH Yah·weh נִשְׁבַּ֨ע swore niš·ba‘ לָתֵ֥ת to give lā·ṯêṯ לָהֶֽם׃פ . . . lā·hem לַאֲבֹתֶ֛יךָ to your fathers , la·’ă·ḇō·ṯe·ḵā לְאַבְרָהָ֛ם to Abraham , lə·’aḇ·rā·hām לְיִצְחָ֥ק Isaac , lə·yiṣ·ḥāq וּֽלְיַעֲקֹ֖ב and Jacob . ” ū·lə·ya·‘ă·qōḇ Deuteronomy 31:1 מֹשֶׁ֑ה When Moses mō·šeh וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ had finished way·yê·leḵ וַיְדַבֵּ֛ר speaking way·ḏab·bêr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאֵ֖לֶּה these hā·’êl·leh הַדְּבָרִ֥ים words had·də·ḇā·rîm אֶל־ to ’el- כָּל־ all kāl-
