Deuteronomy 28:39 תִּטַּ֖ע You will plant tiṭ·ṭa‘ וְעָבָ֑דְתָּ and cultivate wə·‘ā·ḇā·ḏə·tā כְּרָמִ֥ים vineyards , kə·rā·mîm לֹֽא־ but will neither lō- תִשְׁתֶּה֙ drink ṯiš·teh וְיַ֤יִן the wine wə·ya·yin וְלֹ֣א nor wə·lō תֶאֱגֹ֔ר gather [the grapes] , ṯe·’ĕ·ḡōr כִּ֥י because kî הַתֹּלָֽעַת׃ worms hat·tō·lā·‘aṯ תֹאכְלֶ֖נּוּ will eat them . ṯō·ḵə·len·nū Deuteronomy 28:40 יִהְי֥וּ You will have yih·yū לְךָ֖ lə·ḵā זֵיתִ֛ים olive trees zê·ṯîm בְּכָל־ throughout bə·ḵāl גְּבוּלֶ֑ךָ your territory gə·ḇū·le·ḵā לֹ֣א but will never lō תָס֔וּךְ anoint ṯā·sūḵ וְשֶׁ֙מֶן֙ yourself with oil , wə·še·men כִּ֥י because kî זֵיתֶֽךָ׃ the olives zê·ṯe·ḵā יִשַּׁ֖ל will drop off . yiš·šal Deuteronomy 28:41 תּוֹלִ֑יד You will father tō·w·lîḏ בָּנִ֥ים sons bā·nîm וּבָנ֖וֹת and daughters , ū·ḇā·nō·wṯ וְלֹא־ but they will not wə·lō- יִהְי֣וּ remain yih·yū לָ֔ךְ yours , lāḵ כִּ֥י because kî יֵלְכ֖וּ they will go yê·lə·ḵū בַּשֶּֽׁבִי׃ into captivity . baš·še·ḇî Deuteronomy 28:42 הַצְּלָצַֽל׃ Swarms of locusts haṣ·ṣə·lā·ṣal יְיָרֵ֖שׁ will consume yə·yā·rêš כָּל־ all kāl- עֵצְךָ֖ your trees ‘ê·ṣə·ḵā וּפְרִ֣י and the produce ū·p̄ə·rî אַדְמָתֶ֑ךָ of your land . ’aḏ·mā·ṯe·ḵā Deuteronomy 28:43 הַגֵּר֙ The foreigner living hag·gêr אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer בְּקִרְבְּךָ֔ among you bə·qir·bə·ḵā יַעֲלֶ֥ה will rise ya·‘ă·leh מַ֣עְלָה higher ma‘·lāh מָּ֑עְלָה and higher mā·‘ə·lāh עָלֶ֖יךָ above you , ‘ā·le·ḵā וְאַתָּ֥ה while you wə·’at·tāh תֵרֵ֖ד sink down ṯê·rêḏ מַ֥טָּה lower maṭ·ṭāh מָּֽטָּה׃ and lower . māṭ·ṭāh Deuteronomy 28:44 ה֣וּא He hū יַלְוְךָ֔ will lend to you , yal·wə·ḵā וְאַתָּ֖ה but you wə·’at·tāh לֹ֣א will not lō תַלְוֶ֑נּוּ lend to him . ṯal·wen·nū ה֚וּא He hū יִהְיֶ֣ה will be yih·yeh לְרֹ֔אשׁ the head , lə·rōš וְאַתָּ֖ה and you wə·’at·tāh תִּֽהְיֶ֥ה will be tih·yeh לְזָנָֽב׃ the tail . lə·zā·nāḇ Deuteronomy 28:45 כָּל־ All kāl- הָאֵ֗לֶּה these hā·’êl·leh הַקְּלָל֣וֹת curses haq·qə·lā·lō·wṯ וּבָ֨אוּ will come ū·ḇā·’ū עָלֶ֜יךָ upon you . ‘ā·le·ḵā וּרְדָפ֙וּךָ֙ They will pursue you ū·rə·ḏā·p̄ū·ḵā וְהִשִּׂיג֔וּךָ and overtake you wə·hiś·śî·ḡū·ḵā עַ֖ד until ‘aḏ הִשָּֽׁמְדָ֑ךְ you are destroyed , hiš·šā·mə·ḏāḵ כִּי־ since kî- לֹ֣א you did not lō שָׁמַ֗עְתָּ obey šā·ma‘·tā בְּקוֹל֙ . . . bə·qō·wl יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā לִשְׁמֹ֛ר and keep liš·mōr מִצְוֺתָ֥יו the commandments miṣ·wō·ṯāw וְחֻקֹּתָ֖יו and statutes wə·ḥuq·qō·ṯāw אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer צִוָּֽךְ׃ He gave you . ṣiw·wāḵ
