תַּעַבְר֣וּ you cross ta·‘aḇ·rū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַיַּרְדֵּן֒ the Jordan hay·yar·dên אֶל־ into ’el- הָאָ֕רֶץ the land hā·’ā·reṣ אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā נֹתֵ֣ן is giving nō·ṯên לָ֑ךְ you , lāḵ וַהֲקֵמֹתָ֤ set up wa·hă·qê·mō·ṯā לְךָ֙ lə·ḵā גְּדֹל֔וֹת large gə·ḏō·lō·wṯ אֲבָנִ֣ים stones ’ă·ḇā·nîm וְשַׂדְתָּ֥ and coat wə·śaḏ·tā אֹתָ֖ם them ’ō·ṯām בַּשִּֽׂיד׃ with plaster . baś·śîḏ Deuteronomy 27:3 וְכָתַבְתָּ֣ Write wə·ḵā·ṯaḇ·tā עֲלֵיהֶ֗ן on them ‘ă·lê·hen כָּל־ all kāl- דִּבְרֵ֛י the words diḇ·rê הַזֹּ֖את of this haz·zōṯ הַתּוֹרָ֥ה law hat·tō·w·rāh אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- בְּעָבְרֶ֑ךָ when you have crossed over bə·‘ā·ḇə·re·ḵā לְמַ֡עַן to lə·ma·‘an אֲשֶׁר֩ - ’ă·šer תָּבֹ֨א enter tā·ḇō אֶל־ . . . ’el- הָאָ֜רֶץ the land hā·’ā·reṣ אֲ that ’ăšer- יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֣יךָ׀ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā נֹתֵ֣ן is giving nō·ṯên לְךָ֗ you , lə·ḵā אֶ֣רֶץ a land ’e·reṣ זָבַ֤ת flowing zā·ḇaṯ חָלָב֙ with milk ḥā·lāḇ וּדְבַ֔שׁ and honey , ū·ḏə·ḇaš כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר just as ka·’ă·šer יְהוָ֥ה YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵֽי־ the God ’ĕ·lō·hê- אֲבֹתֶ֖יךָ of your fathers ’ă·ḇō·ṯe·ḵā לָֽךְ׃ , lāḵ דִּבֶּ֛ר has promised you . dib·ber Deuteronomy 27:4 וְהָיָה֮ And wə·hā·yāh בְּעָבְרְכֶ֣ם when you have crossed bə·‘ā·ḇə·rə·ḵem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַיַּרְדֵּן֒ the Jordan , hay·yar·dên תָּקִ֜ימוּ you are to set up tā·qî·mū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאֵ֗לֶּה these hā·’êl·leh הָאֲבָנִ֣ים stones hā·’ă·ḇā·nîm בְּהַ֣ר on Mount bə·har עֵיבָ֑ל Ebal , ‘ê·ḇāl אֲשֶׁ֨ר as ’ă·šer אָנֹכִ֜י I ’ā·nō·ḵî מְצַוֶּ֥ה am commanding you today mə·ṣaw·weh אֶתְכֶ֛ם - ’eṯ·ḵem הַיּ֖וֹם - , hay·yō·wm וְשַׂדְתָּ֥ and you are to coat wə·śaḏ·tā אוֹתָ֖ם them ’ō·w·ṯām בַּשִּֽׂיד׃ with plaster . baś·śîḏ Deuteronomy 27:5 וּבָנִ֤יתָ Moreover, you are to build ū·ḇā·nî·ṯā שָּׁם֙ there šām מִזְבֵּ֔חַ an altar miz·bê·aḥ לַיהוָ֖ה to YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ your God , ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā מִזְבַּ֣ח an altar of miz·baḥ אֲבָנִ֔ים stones . ’ă·ḇā·nîm לֹא־ You must not lō- תָנִ֥יף use ṯā·nîp̄ בַּרְזֶֽל׃ any iron tool bar·zel עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם on them . ‘ă·lê·hem Deuteronomy 27:6 תִּבְנֶ֔ה You shall build tiḇ·neh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מִזְבַּ֖ח the altar miz·baḥ יְהוָ֣ה of YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā שְׁלֵמוֹת֙ with uncut šə·lê·mō·wṯ אֲבָנִ֤ים stones ’ă·ḇā·nîm וְהַעֲלִ֤יתָ and offer wə·ha·‘ă·lî·ṯā עָלָיו֙ upon it ‘ā·lāw עוֹלֹ֔ת burnt offerings ‘ō·w·lōṯ לַיהוָ֖ה to YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ your God . ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā
