אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- תֹּאבַ֥ד - tō·ḇaḏ מִמֶּ֖נּוּ . . . mim·men·nū אֲבֵדַ֥ת has lost ’ă·ḇê·ḏaṯ וּמְצָאתָ֑הּ and you have found . ū·mə·ṣā·ṯāh תוּכַ֖ל You must ṯū·ḵal לֹ֥א not lō לְהִתְעַלֵּֽם׃ס ignore it . lə·hiṯ·‘al·lêm Deuteronomy 22:4 תִרְאֶה֩ If you see ṯir·’eh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אָחִ֜יךָ your brother’s ’ā·ḥî·ḵā חֲמ֨וֹר donkey ḥă·mō·wr א֤וֹ or ’ōw שׁוֹרוֹ֙ ox šō·w·rōw נֹפְלִ֣ים fallen nō·p̄ə·lîm בַּדֶּ֔רֶךְ on the road , bad·de·reḵ לֹא־ you must not lō- וְהִתְעַלַּמְתָּ֖ ignore it ; wə·hiṯ·‘al·lam·tā מֵהֶ֑ם . . . mê·hem הָקֵ֥ם you must help him lift it up hā·qêm תָּקִ֖ים . . . . tā·qîm עִמּֽוֹ׃ס . . . ‘im·mōw Deuteronomy 22:5 אִשָּׁ֔ה A woman ’iš·šāh לֹא־ must not lō- יִהְיֶ֤ה wear yih·yeh עַל־ . . . ‘al- גֶ֙בֶר֙ men’s ḡe·ḇer כְלִי־ clothing , ḵə·lî- גֶּ֖בֶר and a man ge·ḇer וְלֹא־ must not wə·lō- יִלְבַּ֥שׁ wear yil·baš אִשָּׁ֑ה women’s ’iš·šāh שִׂמְלַ֣ת clothing , śim·laṯ כִּ֧י for kî כָּל־ whoever kāl- עֹ֥שֵׂה does ‘ō·śêh אֵֽלֶּה׃פ these things ’êl·leh תוֹעֲבַ֛ת is detestable ṯō·w·‘ă·ḇaṯ יְהוָ֥ה to YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ your God . ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā Deuteronomy 22:6 כִּ֣י If kî יִקָּרֵ֣א you come across yiq·qā·rê צִפּ֣וֹר׀ a bird’s ṣip·pō·wr לְפָנֶ֡יךָ . . . lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā קַן־ nest qan- אֶפְרֹחִים֙ with chicks ’ep̄·rō·ḥîm א֣וֹ or ’ōw בֵיצִ֔ים eggs , ḇê·ṣîm עֵ֣ץ׀ either in a tree ‘êṣ א֣וֹ or ’ōw עַל־ on ‘al- הָאָ֗רֶץ the ground hā·’ā·reṣ בַּדֶּ֜רֶךְ along the road bad·de·reḵ בְּכָל־ . . . , bə·ḵāl וְהָאֵ֤ם and the mother wə·hā·’êm רֹבֶ֙צֶת֙ is sitting rō·ḇe·ṣeṯ עַל־ on ‘al- הָֽאֶפְרֹחִ֔ים the chicks hā·’ep̄·rō·ḥîm א֖וֹ or ’ōw הַבֵּיצִ֑ים eggs , hab·bê·ṣîm לֹא־ you must not lō- תִקַּ֥ח take ṯiq·qaḥ הָאֵ֖ם the mother hā·’êm עַל־ . . . ‘al- עַל־ along with ‘al- הַבָּנִֽים׃ the young . hab·bā·nîm Deuteronomy 22:7 תִּֽקַּֽח־ You may take tiq·qaḥ- לָ֑ךְ lāḵ הַבָּנִ֖ים the young , hab·bā·nîm הָאֵ֔ם but be sure to let the mother hā·’êm וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- שַׁלֵּ֤חַ go šal·lê·aḥ תְּשַׁלַּח֙ . . . tə·šal·laḥ אֶת־ - , ’eṯ- לְמַ֙עַן֙ so that lə·ma·‘an יִ֣יטַב it may be well yî·ṭaḇ לָ֔ךְ with you lāḵ וְהַאֲרַכְתָּ֖ and that you may prolong wə·ha·’ă·raḵ·tā יָמִֽים׃ס your days . yā·mîm Deuteronomy 22:8 כִּ֤י If kî תִבְנֶה֙ you build ṯiḇ·neh חָדָ֔שׁ a new ḥā·ḏāš בַּ֣יִת house , ba·yiṯ וְעָשִׂ֥יתָ you are to construct wə·‘ā·śî·ṯā מַעֲקֶ֖ה a railing ma·‘ă·qeh
