כָּל־anythingkāl-
נְשָׁמָֽה׃that breathes .nə·šā·māh

הַחֲרֵ֣םyou must devote them to complete destructionha·ḥă·rêm

הַחִתִּ֤י the Hittites , ha·ḥit·tî

יְהוָ֥הYHWHYah·weh
אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃your God’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā
צִוְּךָ֖ has commanded you , ṣiw·wə·ḵā

לֵֽאלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם for their gods , lê·lō·hê·hem
וַחֲטָאתֶ֖םand so cause you to sinwa·ḥă·ṭā·ṯem
לַיהוָ֥הagainst YHWHYah·weh
אֱלֹהֵיכֶֽם׃סyour God .’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem

תָצ֣וּרyou lay siegeṯā·ṣūr
אֶל־to’el-
עִיר֩a city‘îr
רַבִּ֜יםfor an extendedrab·bîm
יָמִ֨יםtimeyā·mîm
לְֽהִלָּחֵ֧םwhile fightinglə·hil·lā·ḥêm
עָלֶ֣יהָagainst it‘ā·le·hā
לְתָפְשָׂ֗הּ to capture it , lə·ṯā·p̄ə·śāh
לֹֽא־you must notlō-
תַשְׁחִ֤יתdestroyṯaš·ḥîṯ
אֶת־-’eṯ-
עֵצָהּ֙its trees‘ê·ṣāh
לִנְדֹּ֤חַby puttinglin·dō·aḥ
גַּרְזֶ֔ןan axegar·zen
עָלָיו֙ to them , ‘ā·lāw
כִּ֚יbecause
תֹאכֵ֔לyou can eat their fruitṯō·ḵêl
וְאֹת֖וֹ-wə·’ō·ṯōw
מִמֶּ֣נּוּ- .mim·men·nū
לֹ֣אYou must not
תִכְרֹ֑תcut them down .ṯiḵ·rōṯ
כִּ֤י. . .
עֵ֣ץAre the trees‘êṣ
הַשָּׂדֶ֔הof the fieldhaś·śā·ḏeh
הָֽאָדָם֙ human , hā·’ā·ḏām
לָבֹ֥אvvvlā·ḇō
מִפָּנֶ֖יךָvvvmip·pā·ne·ḵā
בַּמָּצֽוֹר׃that you should besiege them ?bam·mā·ṣō·wr
