הַלְוִיִּ֔ם Levites hal·wî·yim הָעֹמְדִ֥ים who stand hā·‘ō·mə·ḏîm שָׁ֖ם there šām לִפְנֵ֥י before lip̄·nê יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH . Yah·weh Deuteronomy 18:8 יֹאכֵ֑לוּ They shall eat yō·ḵê·lū חֵ֥לֶק equal portions ḥê·leq כְּחֵ֖לֶק . . . , kə·ḥê·leq לְבַ֥ד even though lə·ḇaḏ עַל־ he has received [money] from ‘al- מִמְכָּרָ֖יו the sale mim·kā·rāw הָאָבֽוֹת׃ס of his father’s estate . hā·’ā·ḇō·wṯ Deuteronomy 18:9 כִּ֤י When kî אַתָּה֙ you ’at·tāh בָּ֣א enter bā אֶל־ . . . ’el- הָאָ֔רֶץ the land hā·’ā·reṣ אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā נֹתֵ֣ן is giving nō·ṯên לָ֑ךְ you , lāḵ לֹֽא־ do not lō- תִלְמַ֣ד . . . ṯil·maḏ לַעֲשׂ֔וֹת imitate la·‘ă·śō·wṯ כְּתוֹעֲבֹ֖ת the detestable ways kə·ṯō·w·‘ă·ḇōṯ הַגּוֹיִ֥ם of the nations hag·gō·w·yim הָהֵֽם׃ there . hā·hêm Deuteronomy 18:10 לֹֽא־ Let no one lō- יִמָּצֵ֣א be found yim·mā·ṣê בְךָ֔ among you ḇə·ḵā מַעֲבִ֥יר who sacrifices ma·‘ă·ḇîr בְּנֽוֹ־ his son bə·nōw- וּבִתּ֖וֹ or daughter ū·ḇit·tōw בָּאֵ֑שׁ in the fire , bā·’êš קְסָמִ֔ים practices divination qə·sā·mîm קֹסֵ֣ם . . . qō·sêm מְעוֹנֵ֥ן [or] conjury , mə·‘ō·w·nên וּמְנַחֵ֖שׁ interprets omens , ū·mə·na·ḥêš וּמְכַשֵּֽׁף׃ practices sorcery , ū·mə·ḵaš·šêp̄ Deuteronomy 18:11 וְחֹבֵ֖ר casts spells wə·ḥō·ḇêr חָ֑בֶר . . . , ḥā·ḇer וְשֹׁאֵ֥ל consults wə·šō·’êl אוֹב֙ a medium ’ō·wḇ וְיִדְּעֹנִ֔י or spiritist , wə·yid·də·‘ō·nî וְדֹרֵ֖שׁ or inquires wə·ḏō·rêš אֶל־ of ’el- הַמֵּתִֽים׃ the dead . ham·mê·ṯîm Deuteronomy 18:12 כִּֽי־ - kî- כָּל־ For whoever kāl- עֹ֣שֵׂה does ‘ō·śêh אֵ֑לֶּה these things ’êl·leh תוֹעֲבַ֥ת is detestable ṯō·w·‘ă·ḇaṯ יְהוָ֖ה to YHWH . Yah·weh וּבִגְלַל֙ And because ū·ḇiḡ·lal הָאֵ֔לֶּה of these hā·’êl·leh הַתּוֹעֵבֹ֣ת detestable things , hat·tō·w·‘ê·ḇōṯ יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā מוֹרִ֥ישׁ is driving out mō·w·rîš אוֹתָ֖ם - ’ō·w·ṯām מִפָּנֶֽיךָ׃ [the nations] before you . mip·pā·ne·ḵā Deuteronomy 18:13 תִּֽהְיֶ֔ה You must be tih·yeh תָּמִ֣ים blameless tā·mîm עִ֖ם before ‘im יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ס your God . ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā Deuteronomy 18:14 כִּ֣י׀ Though kî הָאֵ֗לֶּה these hā·’êl·leh הַגּוֹיִ֣ם nations , hag·gō·w·yim אֲשֶׁ֤ר which ’ă·šer אַתָּה֙ you ’at·tāh יוֹרֵ֣שׁ will dispossess , yō·w·rêš אוֹתָ֔ם - ’ō·w·ṯām יִשְׁמָ֑עוּ listen yiš·mā·‘ū וְאַתָּ֕ה . . . wə·’at·tāh אֶל־ to ’el- מְעֹנְנִ֥ים conjurers mə·‘ō·nə·nîm וְאֶל־ . . . wə·’el-
