Deuteronomy 15:5 אִם־ if ’im- רַ֚ק only raq שָׁמ֣וֹעַ you obey šā·mō·w·a‘ תִּשְׁמַ֔ע . . . tiš·ma‘ בְּק֖וֹל . . . bə·qō·wl יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā לִשְׁמֹ֤ר and are careful liš·mōr לַעֲשׂוֹת֙ to follow la·‘ă·śō·wṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- הַזֹּ֔את these haz·zōṯ אֲשֶׁ֛ר - ’ă·šer הַמִּצְוָ֣ה commandments ham·miṣ·wāh אָנֹכִ֥י I ’ā·nō·ḵî מְצַוְּךָ֖ am giving you today mə·ṣaw·wə·ḵā הַיּֽוֹם׃ . . . . hay·yō·wm Deuteronomy 15:6 כִּֽי־ - kî- יְהוָ֤ה When YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā בֵּֽרַכְךָ֔ blesses you bê·raḵ·ḵā כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר as ka·’ă·šer דִּבֶּר־ He has promised dib·ber- לָ֑ךְ , lāḵ וְהַֽעֲבַטְתָּ֞ you will lend wə·ha·‘ă·ḇaṭ·tā רַבִּ֗ים to many rab·bîm וְאַתָּה֙ . . . wə·’at·tāh גּוֹיִ֣ם nations gō·w·yim תַעֲבֹ֔ט but borrow ṯa·‘ă·ḇōṭ לֹ֣א from none ; lō וּמָֽשַׁלְתָּ֙ you will rule ū·mā·šal·tā רַבִּ֔ים over many rab·bîm וּבְךָ֖ ū·ḇə·ḵā בְּגוֹיִ֣ם nations bə·ḡō·w·yim יִמְשֹֽׁלוּ׃ס but be ruled yim·šō·lū לֹ֥א by none . lō Deuteronomy 15:7 כִּֽי־ If kî- יִהְיֶה֩ there is yih·yeh אֶבְי֜וֹן a poor man ’eḇ·yō·wn בְךָ֨ among ḇə·ḵā מֵאַחַ֤ד - mê·’a·ḥaḏ אַחֶ֙יךָ֙ your brothers ’a·ḥe·ḵā בְּאַחַ֣ד within any bə·’a·ḥaḏ שְׁעָרֶ֔יךָ of the gates šə·‘ā·re·ḵā בְּאַ֨רְצְךָ֔ in the land bə·’ar·ṣə·ḵā אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā נֹתֵ֣ן is giving nō·ṯên לָ֑ךְ you , lāḵ לֹ֧א then you are not lō תְאַמֵּ֣ץ to harden ṯə·’am·mêṣ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לְבָבְךָ֗ your heart lə·ḇā·ḇə·ḵā וְלֹ֤א [or] wə·lō תִקְפֹּץ֙ shut ṯiq·pōṣ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יָ֣דְךָ֔ your hand yā·ḏə·ḵā הָאֶבְיֽוֹן׃ from your poor hā·’eḇ·yō·wn מֵאָחִ֖יךָ brother . mê·’ā·ḥî·ḵā Deuteronomy 15:8 כִּֽי־ Instead , kî- פָתֹ֧חַ you are to open p̄ā·ṯō·aḥ תִּפְתַּ֛ח . . . tip̄·taḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יָדְךָ֖ your hand yā·ḏə·ḵā ל֑וֹ to him lōw וְהַעֲבֵט֙ and freely loan wə·ha·‘ă·ḇêṭ תַּעֲבִיטֶ֔נּוּ him ta·‘ă·ḇî·ṭen·nū דֵּ֚י whatever dê מַחְסֹר֔וֹ he needs maḥ·sō·rōw אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer יֶחְסַ֖ר - yeḥ·sar לֽוֹ׃ - . lōw Deuteronomy 15:9 הִשָּׁ֣מֶר Be careful hiš·šā·mer לְךָ֡ lə·ḵā פֶּן־ not to harbor pen- יִהְיֶ֣ה . . . yih·yeh בְלִיַּ֜עַל this wicked ḇə·lî·ya·‘al לֵאמֹ֗ר . . . lê·mōr דָבָר֩ thought ḏā·ḇār עִם־ in ‘im- לְבָבְךָ֨ your heart : lə·ḇā·ḇə·ḵā הַשֶּׁבַע֮ “ The seventh haš·še·ḇa‘ שְׁנַֽת־ year , šə·naṯ- שְׁנַ֣ת the year šə·naṯ הַשְּׁמִטָּה֒ of release , haš·šə·miṭ·ṭāh
