יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā בֵּרַכְךָ֛ has blessed you . bê·raḵ·ḵā Deuteronomy 15:15 וְזָכַרְתָּ֗ Remember wə·zā·ḵar·tā כִּ֣י that kî הָיִ֙יתָ֙ you were hā·yî·ṯā עֶ֤בֶד slaves ‘e·ḇeḏ בְּאֶ֣רֶץ in the land bə·’e·reṣ מִצְרַ֔יִם of Egypt , miṣ·ra·yim יְהוָ֣ה and YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā וַֽיִּפְדְּךָ֖ redeemed you ; way·yip̄·də·ḵā עַל־ that is why ‘al- כֵּ֞ן . . . kên אָנֹכִ֧י I ’ā·nō·ḵî מְצַוְּךָ֛ am giving mə·ṣaw·wə·ḵā אֶת־ you ’eṯ- הַזֶּ֖ה this haz·zeh הַדָּבָ֥ר command had·dā·ḇār הַיּֽוֹם׃ today . hay·yō·wm Deuteronomy 15:16 וְהָיָה֙ - wə·hā·yāh כִּֽי־ But if kî- יֹאמַ֣ר your servant says yō·mar אֵלֶ֔יךָ to you , ’ê·le·ḵā לֹ֥א ‘ I do not lō אֵצֵ֖א want to leave ’ê·ṣê מֵעִמָּ֑ךְ you , ’ mê·‘im·māḵ כִּ֤י because kî אֲהֵֽבְךָ֙ he loves ’ă·hê·ḇə·ḵā וְאֶת־ you wə·’eṯ- בֵּיתֶ֔ךָ and your household bê·ṯe·ḵā כִּי־ and kî- ט֥וֹב is well off ṭō·wḇ ל֖וֹ lōw עִמָּֽךְ׃ with you , ‘im·māḵ Deuteronomy 15:17 וְלָקַחְתָּ֣ then take wə·lā·qaḥ·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַמַּרְצֵ֗עַ an awl ham·mar·ṣê·a‘ וְנָתַתָּ֤ה and pierce [it] wə·nā·ṯat·tāh בְאָזְנוֹ֙ through his ear ḇə·’ā·zə·nōw וּבַדֶּ֔לֶת into the door , ū·ḇad·de·leṯ וְהָיָ֥ה and he will become wə·hā·yāh לְךָ֖ your lə·ḵā עֶ֣בֶד servant ‘e·ḇeḏ עוֹלָ֑ם for life . ‘ō·w·lām וְאַ֥ף And wə·’ap̄ תַּעֲשֶׂה־ treat ta·‘ă·śeh- לַאֲמָתְךָ֖ your maidservant la·’ă·mā·ṯə·ḵā כֵּֽן׃ the same way . kên Deuteronomy 15:18 לֹא־ Do not lō- בְעֵינֶ֗ךָ regard it ḇə·‘ê·ne·ḵā יִקְשֶׁ֣ה as a hardship yiq·šeh מֵֽעִמָּ֔ךְ . . . mê·‘im·māḵ בְּשַׁלֵּֽחֲךָ֙ to set bə·šal·lê·ḥă·ḵā אֹת֤וֹ [your servant] ’ō·ṯōw חָפְשִׁי֙ free , ḥā·p̄ə·šî כִּ֗י because kî שֵׁ֣שׁ his six šêš שָׁנִ֑ים years šā·nîm עֲבָֽדְךָ֖ of service ‘ă·ḇā·ḏə·ḵā מִשְׁנֶה֙ were worth twice miš·neh שְׂכַ֣ר the wages śə·ḵar שָׂכִ֔יר of a hired hand . śā·ḵîr יְהוָ֣ה And YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā וּבֵֽרַכְךָ֙ will bless you ū·ḇê·raḵ·ḵā בְּכֹ֖ל in all bə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer תַּעֲשֶֽׂה׃פ you do . ta·‘ă·śeh Deuteronomy 15:19 תַּקְדִּ֖ישׁ You must set apart taq·dîš לַיהוָ֣ה to YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā כָּֽל־ every kāl- הַבְּכ֡וֹר firstborn hab·bə·ḵō·wr אֲשֶׁר֩ - ’ă·šer הַזָּכָ֔ר male haz·zā·ḵār יִוָּלֵ֨ד produced yiw·wā·lêḏ בִּבְקָרְךָ֤ by your herds biḇ·qā·rə·ḵā וּבְצֹֽאנְךָ֙ and flocks . ū·ḇə·ṣō·nə·ḵā לֹ֤א You are not lō בִּבְכֹ֣ר to put the firstborn biḇ·ḵōr שׁוֹרֶ֔ךָ of your oxen šō·w·re·ḵā תַעֲבֹד֙ to work , ṯa·‘ă·ḇōḏ וְלֹ֥א nor wə·lō תָגֹ֖ז are you to shear ṯā·ḡōz
