קָֽרְבָ֣ה is near , ” qā·rə·ḇāh עֵֽינְךָ֗ so that you look upon ‘ê·nə·ḵā הָֽאֶבְי֔וֹן your poor hā·’eḇ·yō·wn בְּאָחִ֙יךָ֙ brother bə·’ā·ḥî·ḵā וְרָעָ֣ה begrudgingly wə·rā·‘āh תִתֵּ֖ן and give him ṯit·tên וְלֹ֥א nothing wə·lō ל֑וֹ . lōw וְקָרָ֤א He will cry out wə·qā·rā אֶל־ to ’el- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh עָלֶ֙יךָ֙ against you , ‘ā·le·ḵā וְהָיָ֥ה and you will be wə·hā·yāh בְךָ֖ ḇə·ḵā חֵֽטְא׃ guilty of sin . ḥêṭ Deuteronomy 15:10 נָת֤וֹן Give generously nā·ṯō·wn תִּתֵּן֙ . . . tit·tên ל֔וֹ to him , lōw וְלֹא־ and do not wə·lō- לְבָבְךָ֖ let your heart lə·ḇā·ḇə·ḵā יֵרַ֥ע be grieved yê·ra‘ בְּתִתְּךָ֣ [when you do so] bə·ṯit·tə·ḵā ל֑וֹ . . . . lōw כִּ֞י . . . kî בִּגְלַ֣ל׀ And because of biḡ·lal הַדָּבָ֣ר . . . had·dā·ḇār הַזֶּ֗ה this haz·zeh יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā יְבָרֶכְךָ֙ will bless yə·ḇā·reḵ·ḵā בְּכָֽל־ you in all bə·ḵāl מַעֲשֶׂ֔ךָ your work ma·‘ă·śe·ḵā וּבְכֹ֖ל and in everything ū·ḇə·ḵōl מִשְׁלַ֥ח to which you put miš·laḥ יָדֶֽךָ׃ your hand . yā·ḏe·ḵā Deuteronomy 15:11 כִּ֛י For kî לֹא־ there will never lō- יֶחְדַּ֥ל cease yeḥ·dal אֶבְי֖וֹן to be poor ’eḇ·yō·wn מִקֶּ֣רֶב in miq·qe·reḇ הָאָ֑רֶץ the land ; hā·’ā·reṣ עַל־ that is why ‘al- כֵּ֞ן . . . kên אָנֹכִ֤י I ’ā·nō·ḵî מְצַוְּךָ֙ am commanding you mə·ṣaw·wə·ḵā לֵאמֹ֔ר to lê·mōr פָּ֠תֹחַ open pā·ṯō·aḥ תִּפְתַּ֨ח wide tip̄·taḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יָדְךָ֜ your hand yā·ḏə·ḵā לְאָחִ֧יךָ to your brother lə·’ā·ḥî·ḵā לַעֲנִיֶּ֛ךָ and to the poor la·‘ă·nî·ye·ḵā וּלְאֶבְיֹנְךָ֖ and needy ū·lə·’eḇ·yō·nə·ḵā בְּאַרְצֶֽךָ׃ס in your land . bə·’ar·ṣe·ḵā Deuteronomy 15:12 כִּֽי־ If kî- אָחִ֣יךָ a fellow ’ā·ḥî·ḵā הָֽעִבְרִ֗י Hebrew , hā·‘iḇ·rî א֚וֹ a man or ’ōw הָֽעִבְרִיָּ֔ה a woman , hā·‘iḇ·rî·yāh יִמָּכֵ֨ר is sold yim·mā·ḵêr לְךָ֜ to you lə·ḵā וַעֲבָֽדְךָ֖ and serves you wa·‘ă·ḇā·ḏə·ḵā שֵׁ֣שׁ six šêš שָׁנִ֑ים years , šā·nîm הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔ת then in the seventh haš·šə·ḇî·‘iṯ וּבַשָּׁנָה֙ year ū·ḇaš·šā·nāh תְּשַׁלְּחֶ֥נּוּ you must set him tə·šal·lə·ḥen·nū חָפְשִׁ֖י free ḥā·p̄ə·šî מֵעִמָּֽךְ׃ . . . . mê·‘im·māḵ Deuteronomy 15:13 וְכִֽי־ And when wə·ḵî- תְשַׁלְּחֶ֥נּוּ you release him ṯə·šal·lə·ḥen·nū חָפְשִׁ֖י . . . , ḥā·p̄ə·šî מֵֽעִמָּ֑ךְ . . . mê·‘im·māḵ לֹ֥א do not lō תְשַׁלְּחֶ֖נּוּ send him away ṯə·šal·lə·ḥen·nū רֵיקָֽם׃ empty-handed . rê·qām Deuteronomy 15:14 הַעֲנֵ֤יק You are to furnish him ha·‘ă·nêq תַּעֲנִיק֙ liberally ta·‘ă·nîq ל֔וֹ lōw מִצֹּ֣אנְךָ֔ from your flock , miṣ·ṣō·nə·ḵā וּמִֽגָּרְנְךָ֖ your threshing floor , ū·mig·gā·rə·nə·ḵā וּמִיִּקְבֶ֑ךָ and your winepress . ū·mî·yiq·ḇe·ḵā תִּתֶּן־ You shall give tit·ten- לֽוֹ׃ to him lōw אֲשֶׁ֧ר as ’ă·šer
