תֹּֽאכַל־ you are to eat tō·ḵal- עָלָ֥יו with it ‘ā·lāw מַצּ֖וֹת unleavened bread , maṣ·ṣō·wṯ לֶ֣חֶם the bread le·ḥem עֹ֑נִי of affliction , ‘ō·nî כִּ֣י because kî יָצָ֙אתָ֙ you left yā·ṣā·ṯā מֵאֶ֣רֶץ the land mê·’e·reṣ מִצְרַ֔יִם of Egypt miṣ·ra·yim בְחִפָּז֗וֹן in haste — ḇə·ḥip·pā·zō·wn לְמַ֣עַן so that lə·ma·‘an תִּזְכֹּר֔ you may remember tiz·kōr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- י֤וֹם - yō·wm כֹּ֖ל for the rest kōl חַיֶּֽיךָ׃ of your life ḥay·ye·ḵā יְמֵ֥י the day yə·mê צֵֽאתְךָ֙ you left ṣê·ṯə·ḵā מֵאֶ֣רֶץ the land mê·’e·reṣ מִצְרַ֔יִם of Egypt . miṣ·ra·yim Deuteronomy 16:4 וְלֹֽא־ No wə·lō- שְׂאֹ֛ר leaven śə·’ōr יֵרָאֶ֨ה is to be found yê·rā·’eh לְךָ֥ lə·ḵā בְּכָל־ in all bə·ḵāl גְּבֻלְךָ֖ your land gə·ḇul·ḵā שִׁבְעַ֣ת for seven šiḇ·‘aṯ יָמִ֑ים days , yā·mîm וְלֹא־ and none wə·lō- מִן־ of min- הַבָּשָׂ֗ר the meat hab·bā·śār אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer תִּזְבַּ֥ח you sacrifice tiz·baḥ בָּעֶ֛רֶב in the evening bā·‘e·reḇ הָרִאשׁ֖וֹן of the first hā·ri·šō·wn בַּיּ֥וֹם day bay·yō·wm יָלִ֣ין shall remain yā·lîn לַבֹּֽקֶר׃ until morning . lab·bō·qer Deuteronomy 16:5 לֹ֥א You are not lō תוּכַ֖ל . . . ṯū·ḵal לִזְבֹּ֣חַ to sacrifice liz·bō·aḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַפָּ֑סַח the Passover animal hap·pā·saḥ בְּאַחַ֣ד in any bə·’a·ḥaḏ שְׁעָרֶ֔יךָ of the towns šə·‘ā·re·ḵā אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā נֹתֵ֥ן is giving nō·ṯên לָֽךְ׃ you . lāḵ Deuteronomy 16:6 כִּ֠י You must only kî אִֽם־ . . . ’im- תִּזְבַּ֥ח offer tiz·baḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַפֶּ֖סַח the Passover sacrifice hap·pe·saḥ אֶל־ at ’el- הַמָּק֞וֹם the place ham·mā·qō·wm אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- יְהוָ֤ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā יִבְחַ֨ר will choose yiḇ·ḥar לְשַׁכֵּ֣ן as a dwelling lə·šak·kên שְׁמ֔וֹ for His Name šə·mōw שָׁ֛ם . . . . šām בָּעָ֑רֶב Do this in the evening bā·‘ā·reḇ הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ as the sun haš·še·meš כְּב֣וֹא sets , kə·ḇō·w מוֹעֵ֖ד at the same time mō·w·‘êḏ צֵֽאתְךָ֥ you departed ṣê·ṯə·ḵā מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃ from Egypt . mim·miṣ·rā·yim Deuteronomy 16:7 וּבִשַּׁלְתָּ֙ And you shall roast it ū·ḇiš·šal·tā וְאָ֣כַלְתָּ֔ and eat it wə·’ā·ḵal·tā בַּמָּק֕וֹם in the place bam·mā·qō·wm אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā בּ֑וֹ bōw וּפָנִ֣יתָ - ū·p̄ā·nî·ṯā יִבְחַ֛ר will choose , yiḇ·ḥar בַבֹּ֔קֶר and in the morning ḇab·bō·qer וְהָלַכְתָּ֖ you shall return wə·hā·laḵ·tā לְאֹהָלֶֽיךָ׃ to your tents . lə·’ō·hā·le·ḵā Deuteronomy 16:8 שֵׁ֥שֶׁת For six šê·šeṯ יָמִ֖ים days yā·mîm תֹּאכַ֣ל you must eat tō·ḵal
