וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- תִּשְׁמֹ֙רוּ֙ Keep tiš·mō·rū מִצְוֺתָ֤יו His commandments miṣ·wō·ṯāw תִשְׁמָ֔עוּ and listen ṯiš·mā·‘ū וְאֹת֥וֹ - wə·’ō·ṯōw וּבְקֹל֣וֹ to His voice ; ū·ḇə·qō·lōw תַעֲבֹ֖דוּ serve Him ṯa·‘ă·ḇō·ḏū תִדְבָּקֽוּן׃ and hold fast ṯiḏ·bā·qūn וּב֥וֹ to Him . ū·ḇōw Deuteronomy 13:5 הַה֡וּא Such a ha·hū וְהַנָּבִ֣יא prophet wə·han·nā·ḇî א֣וֹ or ’ōw חֹלֵם֩ dreamer ḥō·lêm הַחֲל֨וֹם . . . ha·ḥă·lō·wm הַה֜וּא . . . ha·hū יוּמָ֗ת must be put to death , yū·māṯ כִּ֣י because kî דִבֶּר־ he has advocated ḏib·ber- סָ֠רָה rebellion sā·rāh עַל־ against ‘al- יְהוָ֨ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֜ם your God , ’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem הַמּוֹצִ֥יא who brought you out ham·mō·w·ṣî אֶתְכֶ֣ם׀ - ’eṯ·ḵem מֵאֶ֣רֶץ of the land mê·’e·reṣ מִצְרַ֗יִם of Egypt miṣ·ra·yim וְהַפֹּֽדְךָ֙ and redeemed you wə·hap·pō·ḏə·ḵā מִבֵּ֣ית from the house mib·bêṯ עֲבָדִ֔ים of slavery ; ‘ă·ḇā·ḏîm לְהַדִּֽיחֲךָ֙ he has tried to turn you lə·had·dî·ḥă·ḵā מִן־ from min- הַדֶּ֔רֶךְ the way had·de·reḵ אֲשֶׁ֧ר in which ’ă·šer יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā צִוְּךָ֛ has commanded you ṣiw·wə·ḵā לָלֶ֣כֶת to walk lā·le·ḵeṯ בָּ֑הּ . bāh וּבִֽעַרְתָּ֥ So you must purge ū·ḇi·‘ar·tā הָרָ֖ע the evil hā·rā‘ מִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ׃ from among you . miq·qir·be·ḵā Deuteronomy 13:6 כִּ֣י If kî אָחִ֣יךָ your very own brother ’ā·ḥî·ḵā בֶן־ . . . ḇen- אִ֠מֶּךָ . . . , ’im·me·ḵā אֽוֹ־ or ’ōw- בִנְךָ֨ your son ḇin·ḵā אֽוֹ־ or ’ōw- בִתְּךָ֜ daughter , ḇit·tə·ḵā א֣וֹ׀ or ’ōw אֵ֣שֶׁת the wife ’ê·šeṯ חֵיקֶ֗ךָ you embrace , ḥê·qe·ḵā א֧וֹ or ’ōw רֵֽעֲךָ֛ your closest friend rê·‘ă·ḵā אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer כְּנַפְשְׁךָ֖ - kə·nap̄·šə·ḵā בַּסֵּ֣תֶר secretly bas·sê·ṯer יְסִֽיתְךָ֡ entices you , yə·sî·ṯə·ḵā לֵאמֹ֑ר saying , lê·mōr נֵֽלְכָ֗ה “ Let us go nê·lə·ḵāh וְנַֽעַבְדָה֙ and worship wə·na·‘aḇ·ḏāh אֲחֵרִ֔ים other ’ă·ḥê·rîm אֱלֹהִ֣ים gods ” ’ĕ·lō·hîm אֲשֶׁר֙ ( which ’ă·šer אַתָּ֖ה neither you ’at·tāh לֹ֣א nor lō וַאֲבֹתֶֽיךָ׃ your fathers wa·’ă·ḇō·ṯe·ḵā יָדַ֔עְתָּ have known , yā·ḏa‘·tā Deuteronomy 13:7 מֵאֱלֹהֵ֣י the gods mê·’ĕ·lō·hê הָֽעַמִּ֗ים of the peoples hā·‘am·mîm אֲשֶׁר֙ - ’ă·šer סְבִיבֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם around you , sə·ḇî·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem הַקְּרֹבִ֣ים whether near haq·qə·rō·ḇîm אֵלֶ֔יךָ . . . ’ê·le·ḵā א֖וֹ or ’ōw הָרְחֹקִ֣ים far , hā·rə·ḥō·qîm מִמֶּ֑ךָּ whether from mim·me·kā מִקְצֵ֥ה one end miq·ṣêh הָאָ֖רֶץ of the earth hā·’ā·reṣ וְעַד־ or the other wə·‘aḏ- קְצֵ֥ה . . . qə·ṣêh הָאָֽרֶץ׃ . . . ), hā·’ā·reṣ Deuteronomy 13:8 לֹא־ you must not lō- תֹאבֶ֣ה yield ṯō·ḇeh ל֔וֹ to him lōw תִשְׁמַ֖ע or listen ṯiš·ma‘ אֵלָ֑יו to him . ’ê·lāw וְלֹ֥א Show him no wə·lō
