שָׂנֵ֗א hates . śā·nê כִּ֣י They even kî גַ֤ם . . . ḡam אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יִשְׂרְפ֥וּ burn yiś·rə·p̄ū בְּנֵיהֶם֙ their sons bə·nê·hem וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- בְּנֹ֣תֵיהֶ֔ם and daughters bə·nō·ṯê·hem בָאֵ֖שׁ in the fire ḇā·’êš לֵֽאלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃ [as sacrifices] to their gods . lê·lō·hê·hem Deuteronomy 12:32 אֹת֥וֹ vvv ’ō·ṯōw תִשְׁמְר֖וּ See that you do ṯiš·mə·rū אֵ֣ת - ’êṯ כָּל־ everything kāl- הַדָּבָ֗ר . . . had·dā·ḇār אֲשֶׁ֤ר - ’ă·šer אָנֹכִי֙ I ’ā·nō·ḵî מְצַוֶּ֣ה command you mə·ṣaw·weh אֶתְכֶ֔ם - ’eṯ·ḵem לַעֲשׂ֑וֹת - ; la·‘ă·śō·wṯ לֹא־ do not lō- תֹסֵ֣ף add ṯō·sêp̄ עָלָ֔יו to it ‘ā·lāw וְלֹ֥א . . . wə·lō תִגְרַ֖ע or subtract ṯiḡ·ra‘ מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃פ from it . mim·men·nū Deuteronomy 13:1 כִּֽי־ If kî- נָבִ֔יא a prophet nā·ḇî א֖וֹ or ’ōw חֹלֵ֣ם dreamer ḥō·lêm חֲל֑וֹם of dreams ḥă·lō·wm יָק֤וּם arises yā·qūm בְּקִרְבְּךָ֙ among you bə·qir·bə·ḵā וְנָתַ֥ן and proclaims wə·nā·ṯan א֖וֹת a sign ’ō·wṯ א֥וֹ or ’ōw מוֹפֵֽת׃ wonder mō·w·p̄êṯ אֵלֶ֛יךָ to you , ’ê·le·ḵā Deuteronomy 13:2 הָאוֹת֙ and if the sign hā·’ō·wṯ וְהַמּוֹפֵ֔ת or wonder wə·ham·mō·w·p̄êṯ אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- דִּבֶּ֥ר he has spoken dib·ber אֵלֶ֖יךָ to you ’ê·le·ḵā וּבָ֤א comes about , ū·ḇā לֵאמֹ֑ר but he says , lê·mōr נֵֽלְכָ֞ה “ Let us follow nê·lə·ḵāh אַחֲרֵ֨י . . . ’a·ḥă·rê אֲחֵרִ֛ים other ’ă·ḥê·rîm אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer אֱלֹהִ֧ים gods ’ĕ·lō·hîm לֹֽא־ ( which you have not lō- יְדַעְתָּ֖ם known ) yə·ḏa‘·tām וְנָֽעָבְדֵֽם׃ and let us worship them , ” wə·nā·‘ā·ḇə·ḏêm Deuteronomy 13:3 לֹ֣א you must not lō תִשְׁמַ֗ע listen ṯiš·ma‘ אֶל־ to ’el- דִּבְרֵי֙ the words diḇ·rê הַה֔וּא of that ha·hū הַנָּבִ֣יא prophet han·nā·ḇî א֛וֹ or ’ōw אֶל־ - ’el- הַה֑וּא - ha·hū חוֹלֵ֥ם dreamer ḥō·w·lêm הַחֲל֖וֹם . . . . ha·ḥă·lō·wm כִּ֣י For kî יְהוָ֤ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֙ your God ’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem אֶתְכֶ֔ם - ’eṯ·ḵem מְנַסֶּ֞ה is testing you mə·nas·seh לָדַ֗עַת to find out lā·ḏa·‘aṯ הֲיִשְׁכֶ֤ם whether hă·yiš·ḵem אֹֽהֲבִים֙ you love ’ō·hă·ḇîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֣ה [Him] Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֔ם . . . ’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem בְּכָל־ with all bə·ḵāl לְבַבְכֶ֖ם your heart lə·ḇaḇ·ḵem וּבְכָל־ and with all ū·ḇə·ḵāl נַפְשְׁכֶֽם׃ your soul . nap̄·šə·ḵem Deuteronomy 13:4 אַחֲרֵ֨י - ’a·ḥă·rê תֵּלֵ֖כוּ You are to follow tê·lê·ḵū יְהוָ֧ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֛ם your God ’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem וְאֹת֣וֹ and wə·’ō·ṯōw תִירָ֑אוּ fear Him . ṯî·rā·’ū
