הַדָּבָ֔ר . . . had·dā·ḇār הַזֹּ֖את that this haz·zōṯ הַתּוֹעֵבָ֥ה abomination hat·tō·w·‘ê·ḇāh נֶעֶשְׂתָ֛ה has been committed ne·‘eś·ṯāh בְּקִרְבֶּֽךָ׃ among you , bə·qir·be·ḵā Deuteronomy 13:15 הַכֵּ֣ה you must surely put hak·kêh תַכֶּ֗ה . . . ṯak·keh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יֹֽשְׁבֵ֛י the inhabitants yō·šə·ḇê הַהוּא of that ha·hū הָעִ֥יר city hā·‘îr לְפִי־ vvv lə·p̄î- חָ֑רֶב to the sword . ḥā·reḇ הַחֲרֵ֨ם Devote to destruction ha·ḥă·rêm לְפִי־ - lə·p̄î- חָֽרֶב׃ - ḥā·reḇ אֹתָ֧הּ - ’ō·ṯāh וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- כָּל־ all [its people] kāl- אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- בָּ֛הּ bāh וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- בְּהֶמְתָּ֖הּ and livestock . bə·hem·tāh Deuteronomy 13:16 וְאֶת־ And wə·’eṯ- תִּקְבֹּץ֮ you are to gather tiq·bōṣ כָּל־ all kāl- שְׁלָלָ֗הּ its plunder šə·lā·lāh אֶל־ in ’el- תּ֣וֹךְ the middle tō·wḵ רְחֹבָהּ֒ of the public square , rə·ḥō·ḇāh וְשָׂרַפְתָּ֨ and completely burn wə·śā·rap̄·tā בָאֵ֜שׁ . . . ḇā·’êš אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָעִ֤יר the city hā·‘îr וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- כָּל־ and all kāl- שְׁלָלָהּ֙ its plunder šə·lā·lāh כָּלִ֔יל as a whole burnt offering kā·lîl לַיהוָ֖ה to YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ your God . ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā וְהָיְתָה֙ [The city] must remain wə·hā·yə·ṯāh תֵּ֣ל a mound of ruins têl עוֹלָ֔ם forever , ‘ō·w·lām לֹ֥א never lō תִבָּנֶ֖ה to be rebuilt . ṯib·bā·neh עֽוֹד׃ . . . ‘ō·wḏ Deuteronomy 13:17 וְלֹֽא־ Nothing wə·lō- מְא֖וּמָה . . . mə·’ū·māh הַחֵ֑רֶם devoted to destruction ha·ḥê·rem יִדְבַּ֧ק shall cling yiḏ·baq בְּיָדְךָ֛ to your hands , bə·yā·ḏə·ḵā לְמַעַן֩ so that lə·ma·‘an יְהוָ֜ה YHWH Yah·weh יָשׁ֨וּב will turn yā·šūḇ מִן־ from min- מֵחֲר֣וֹן His fierce anger mê·ḥă·rō·wn אַפּ֗וֹ . . . , ’ap·pōw וְנָֽתַן־ grant wə·nā·ṯan- לְךָ֤ you lə·ḵā רַחֲמִים֙ mercy , ra·ḥă·mîm וְרִֽחַמְךָ֣ show you compassion , wə·ri·ḥam·ḵā וְהִרְבֶּ֔ךָ and multiply you wə·hir·be·ḵā כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר as ka·’ă·šer נִשְׁבַּ֖ע He swore niš·ba‘ לַאֲבֹתֶֽיךָ׃ to your fathers , la·’ă·ḇō·ṯe·ḵā Deuteronomy 13:18 כִּ֣י because kî תִשְׁמַ֗ע you obey ṯiš·ma‘ בְּקוֹל֙ . . . bə·qō·wl יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ your God , ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā לִשְׁמֹר֙ keeping liš·mōr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- מִצְוֺתָ֔יו His commandments miṣ·wō·ṯāw אֲשֶׁ֛ר - ’ă·šer אָנֹכִ֥י I ’ā·nō·ḵî מְצַוְּךָ֖ am giving you today mə·ṣaw·wə·ḵā הַיּ֑וֹם . . . hay·yō·wm לַעֲשׂוֹת֙ [and] doing la·‘ă·śō·wṯ הַיָּשָׁ֔ר what is right hay·yā·šār בְּעֵינֵ֖י in the eyes bə·‘ê·nê יְהוָ֥ה of YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ס your God . ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā Deuteronomy 14:1 אַתֶּ֔ם You ’at·tem בָּנִ֣ים are sons bā·nîm
