Genesis 21:19 אֱלֹהִים֙ Then God ’ĕ·lō·hîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּפְקַ֤ח opened way·yip̄·qaḥ עֵינֶ֔יהָ her eyes , ‘ê·ne·hā וַתֵּ֖רֶא and she saw wat·tê·re בְּאֵ֣ר a well bə·’êr מָ֑יִם of water . mā·yim וַתֵּ֜לֶךְ So she went wat·tê·leḵ וַתְּמַלֵּ֤א and filled wat·tə·mal·lê אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַחֵ֙מֶת֙ the skin with water ha·ḥê·meṯ מַ֔יִם . . . ma·yim הַנָּֽעַר׃ and gave the boy han·nā·‘ar וַתַּ֖שְׁקְ a drink . wat·tašq אֶת־ - ’eṯ- Genesis 21:20 אֱלֹהִ֛ים And God ’ĕ·lō·hîm וַיְהִ֧י was way·hî אֶת־ with ’eṯ- הַנַּ֖עַר the boy , han·na·‘ar וַיִּגְדָּ֑ל and he grew up way·yiḡ·dāl וַיֵּ֙שֶׁב֙ and settled way·yê·šeḇ בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר in the wilderness bam·miḏ·bār וַיְהִ֖י and became way·hî רֹבֶ֥ה a great rō·ḇeh קַשָּֽׁת׃ archer . qaš·šāṯ Genesis 21:21 וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב And while he was dwelling way·yê·šeḇ בְּמִדְבַּ֣ר in the Wilderness bə·miḏ·bar פָּארָ֑ן of Paran , pā·rān אִמּ֛וֹ his mother ’im·mōw וַתִּֽקַּֽח־ got wat·tiq·qaḥ- אִשָּׁ֖ה a wife ’iš·šāh ל֥וֹ for him lōw מֵאֶ֥רֶץ from the land mê·’e·reṣ מִצְרָֽיִם׃פ of Egypt . miṣ·rā·yim Genesis 21:22 וַֽיְהִי֙ - way·hî הַהִ֔וא At that ha·hi·w בָּעֵ֣ת time bā·‘êṯ אֲבִימֶ֗לֶךְ Abimelech ’ă·ḇî·me·leḵ וּפִיכֹל֙ and Phicol ū·p̄î·ḵōl שַׂר־ the commander śar- צְבָא֔וֹ of his army ṣə·ḇā·’ōw וַיֹּ֣אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- אַבְרָהָ֖ם Abraham , ’aḇ·rā·hām לֵאמֹ֑ר . . . lê·mōr אֱלֹהִ֣ים “ God ’ĕ·lō·hîm עִמְּךָ֔ is with you ‘im·mə·ḵā בְּכֹ֥ל in all bə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- אַתָּ֖ה you ’at·tāh עֹשֶֽׂה׃ do . ‘ō·śeh Genesis 21:23 וְעַתָּ֗ה Now, therefore , wə·‘at·tāh הִשָּׁ֨בְעָה swear hiš·šā·ḇə·‘āh לִּ֤י to me lî הֵ֔נָּה here hên·nāh בֵֽאלֹהִים֙ before God ḇê·lō·hîm אִם־ that you will not ’im- תִּשְׁקֹ֣ר deal falsely tiš·qōr לִ֔י with me lî וּלְנִינִ֖י or my children ū·lə·nî·nî וּלְנֶכְדִּ֑י or descendants . ū·lə·neḵ·dî תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה Show ta·‘ă·śeh עִמָּדִ֔י to me ‘im·mā·ḏî וְעִם־ and wə·‘im- הָאָ֖רֶץ to the country hā·’ā·reṣ אֲשֶׁר־ in which ’ă·šer- גַּ֥רְתָּה you reside gar·tāh בָּֽהּ׃ . . . bāh כַּחֶ֜סֶד the same kindness ka·ḥe·seḏ אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- עָשִׂ֤יתִי I have shown ‘ā·śî·ṯî עִמְּךָ֙ to you . ” ‘im·mə·ḵā Genesis 21:24 אַבְרָהָ֔ם And Abraham ’aḇ·rā·hām וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ replied , way·yō·mer אָנֹכִ֖י “ I ’ā·nō·ḵî אִשָּׁבֵֽעַ׃ swear it. ” ’iš·šā·ḇê·a‘ Genesis 21:25 אַבְרָהָ֖ם But when Abraham ’aḇ·rā·hām אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וְהוֹכִ֥חַ complained wə·hō·w·ḵi·aḥ אֲבִימֶ֑לֶךְ to Abimelech ’ă·ḇî·me·leḵ
