Deuteronomy 9:19 כִּ֣י For kî יָגֹ֗רְתִּי I was afraid yā·ḡō·rə·tî מִפְּנֵ֤י . . . mip·pə·nê הָאַף֙ of the anger hā·’ap̄ וְהַ֣חֵמָ֔ה and wrath wə·ha·ḥê·māh אֲשֶׁ֨ר that ’ă·šer יְהוָ֛ה YHWH Yah·weh קָצַ֧ף had directed qā·ṣap̄ עֲלֵיכֶ֖ם against you , ‘ă·lê·ḵem לְהַשְׁמִ֣יד enough to destroy you . lə·haš·mîḏ אֶתְכֶ֑ם - ’eṯ·ḵem יְהוָה֙ But YHWH Yah·weh וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע listened way·yiš·ma‘ אֵלַ֔י to me ’ê·lay הַהִֽוא׃ this ha·hi·w בַּפַּ֥עַם time bap·pa·‘am גַּ֖ם as well . gam Deuteronomy 9:20 יְהוָ֛ה YHWH Yah·weh הִתְאַנַּ֧ף was angry hiṯ·’an·nap̄ מְאֹ֖ד enough mə·’ōḏ וּֽבְאַהֲרֹ֗ן with Aaron ū·ḇə·’a·hă·rōn לְהַשְׁמִיד֑וֹ to destroy him , lə·haš·mî·ḏōw הַהִֽוא but at that ha·hi·w בָּעֵ֥ת time bā·‘êṯ גַּם־ I also gam- וָֽאֶתְפַּלֵּ֛ל prayed wā·’eṯ·pal·lêl בְּעַ֥ד for bə·‘aḏ אַהֲרֹ֖ן Aaron . ’a·hă·rōn Deuteronomy 9:21 וְֽאֶת־ And wə·’eṯ- לָקַחְתִּי֮ I took lā·qaḥ·tî אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- חַטַּאתְכֶ֞ם sinful thing , ḥaṭ·ṭaṯ·ḵem הָעֵ֗גֶל the calf hā·‘ê·ḡel עֲשִׂיתֶ֣ם you had made , ‘ă·śî·ṯem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וָאֶשְׂרֹ֣ף and burned wā·’eś·rōp̄ אֹת֣וֹ׀ it ’ō·ṯōw בָּאֵשׁ֒ in the fire . bā·’êš וָאֶכֹּ֨ת Then I crushed it wā·’ek·kōṯ אֹת֤וֹ - ’ō·ṯōw טָחוֹן֙ [and] ground ṭā·ḥō·wn הֵיטֵ֔ב hê·ṭêḇ עַ֥ד it to ‘aḏ אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- דַּ֖ק powder daq לְעָפָ֑ר as fine as dust , lə·‘ā·p̄ār וָֽאַשְׁלִךְ֙ and I cast wā·’aš·liḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֲפָר֔וֹ it ‘ă·p̄ā·rōw אֶל־ into ’el- הַנַּ֖חַל the stream han·na·ḥal הַיֹּרֵ֥ד that came down hay·yō·rêḏ מִן־ from min- הָהָֽר׃ the mountain . hā·hār Deuteronomy 9:22 מַקְצִפִ֥ים You continued to provoke maq·ṣi·p̄îm הֱיִיתֶ֖ם . . . hĕ·yî·ṯem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH Yah·weh וּבְתַבְעֵרָה֙ at Taberah , ū·ḇə·ṯaḇ·‘ê·rāh וּבְמַסָּ֔ה at Massah , ū·ḇə·mas·sāh וּבְקִבְרֹ֖ת vvv ū·ḇə·qiḇ·rōṯ הַֽתַּאֲוָ֑ה and at Kibroth-hattaavah . hat·ta·’ă·wāh Deuteronomy 9:23 יְהוָ֜ה And when YHWH Yah·weh אֶתְכֶ֗ם - ’eṯ·ḵem וּבִשְׁלֹ֨חַ sent you out ū·ḇiš·lō·aḥ מִקָּדֵ֤שׁ . . . miq·qā·ḏêš בַּרְנֵ֙עַ֙ from Kadesh-barnea , bar·nê·a‘ לֵאמֹ֔ר He said , lê·mōr עֲלוּ֙ “ Go up ‘ă·lū וּרְשׁ֣וּ and possess ū·rə·šū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאָ֔רֶץ the land hā·’ā·reṣ אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer נָתַ֖תִּי I have given nā·ṯat·tî לָכֶ֑ם you . ” lā·ḵem וַתַּמְר֗וּ But you rebelled wat·tam·rū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- פִּ֤י against the command pî יְהוָה֙ of YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹ֣הֵיכֶ֔ם your God . ’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem וְלֹ֤א You neither wə·lō הֶֽאֱמַנְתֶּם֙ believed he·’ĕ·man·tem ל֔וֹ Him lōw וְלֹ֥א nor wə·lō שְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ם obeyed šə·ma‘·tem בְּקֹלֽוֹ׃ Him . bə·qō·lōw
