וּבָהָֽר׃ and hills ; ū·ḇā·hār Deuteronomy 8:8 אֶ֤רֶץ a land ’e·reṣ חִטָּה֙ of wheat , ḥiṭ·ṭāh וּשְׂעֹרָ֔ה barley , ū·śə·‘ō·rāh וְגֶ֥פֶן vines , wə·ḡe·p̄en וּתְאֵנָ֖ה fig trees , ū·ṯə·’ê·nāh וְרִמּ֑וֹן and pomegranates ; wə·rim·mō·wn אֶֽרֶץ־ a land ’e·reṣ- זֵ֥ית of olive zêṯ שֶׁ֖מֶן oil še·men וּדְבָֽשׁ׃ and honey ; ū·ḏə·ḇāš Deuteronomy 8:9 אֶ֗רֶץ a land ’e·reṣ אֲשֶׁ֨ר where ’ă·šer תֹּֽאכַל־ you will eat tō·ḵal- בָּ֣הּ bāh לֶ֔חֶם food le·ḥem לֹ֤א without lō בְמִסְכֵּנֻת֙ scarcity , ḇə·mis·kê·nuṯ תֶחְסַ֥ר where you will lack ṯeḥ·sar לֹֽא־ nothing lō- כֹּ֖ל . . . ; kōl בָּ֑הּ - bāh אֶ֚רֶץ a land ’e·reṣ אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer אֲבָנֶ֣יהָ whose rocks ’ă·ḇā·ne·hā בַרְזֶ֔ל are iron ḇar·zel וּמֵהֲרָרֶ֖יהָ and whose hills ū·mê·hă·rā·re·hā תַּחְצֹ֥ב are ready to be mined taḥ·ṣōḇ נְחֹֽשֶׁת׃ for copper . nə·ḥō·šeṯ Deuteronomy 8:10 וְאָכַלְתָּ֖ When you eat wə·’ā·ḵal·tā וְשָׂבָ֑עְתָּ and are satisfied , wə·śā·ḇā·‘ə·tā וּבֵֽרַכְתָּ֙ you are to bless ū·ḇê·raḵ·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā עַל־ for ‘al- הַטֹּבָ֖ה the good haṭ·ṭō·ḇāh הָאָ֥רֶץ land hā·’ā·reṣ אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer נָֽתַן־ He has given nā·ṯan- לָֽךְ׃ you . lāḵ Deuteronomy 8:11 הִשָּׁ֣מֶר Be careful hiš·šā·mer לְךָ֔ lə·ḵā פֶּן־ not pen- תִּשְׁכַּ֖ח to forget tiš·kaḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā לְבִלְתִּ֨י by failing lə·ḇil·tî שְׁמֹ֤ר to keep šə·mōr מִצְוֺתָיו֙ His commandments miṣ·wō·ṯāw וּמִשְׁפָּטָ֣יו and ordinances ū·miš·pā·ṭāw וְחֻקֹּתָ֔יו and statutes , wə·ḥuq·qō·ṯāw אֲשֶׁ֛ר which ’ă·šer אָנֹכִ֥י I ’ā·nō·ḵî מְצַוְּךָ֖ am giving you mə·ṣaw·wə·ḵā הַיּֽוֹם׃ this day . hay·yō·wm Deuteronomy 8:12 פֶּן־ Otherwise , pen- תֹּאכַ֖ל when you eat tō·ḵal וְשָׂבָ֑עְתָּ and are satisfied , wə·śā·ḇā·‘ə·tā תִּבְנֶ֖ה when you build tiḇ·neh טוֹבִ֛ים fine ṭō·w·ḇîm וּבָתִּ֥ים houses ū·ḇāt·tîm וְיָשָֽׁבְתָּ׃ in which to dwell , wə·yā·šā·ḇə·tā Deuteronomy 8:13 וּבְקָֽרְךָ֤ and when your herds ū·ḇə·qā·rə·ḵā וְצֹֽאנְךָ֙ and flocks wə·ṣō·nə·ḵā יִרְבְּיֻ֔ן grow large yir·bə·yun וְכֶ֥סֶף and your silver wə·ḵe·sep̄ וְזָהָ֖ב and gold wə·zā·hāḇ יִרְבֶּה־ increase yir·beh- לָּ֑ךְ lāḵ וְכֹ֥ל and all wə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- לְךָ֖ you have lə·ḵā יִרְבֶּֽה׃ is multiplied , yir·beh Deuteronomy 8:14 לְבָבֶ֑ךָ then your heart lə·ḇā·ḇe·ḵā וְרָ֖ם will become proud , wə·rām וְשָֽׁכַחְתָּ֙ and you will forget wə·šā·ḵaḥ·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ-
