לְפָנֶ֑יךָ to you lə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā וְהָמָם֙ and throw them wə·hā·mām גְדֹלָ֔ה into great ḡə·ḏō·lāh מְהוּמָ֣ה confusion , mə·hū·māh עַ֖ד until ‘aḏ הִשָּׁמְדָֽם׃ they are destroyed . hiš·šā·mə·ḏām Deuteronomy 7:24 מַלְכֵיהֶם֙ He will hand their kings mal·ḵê·hem וְנָתַ֤ן over to wə·nā·ṯan בְּיָדֶ֔ךָ you , bə·yā·ḏe·ḵā וְהַאֲבַדְתָּ֣ and you will wipe out wə·ha·’ă·ḇaḏ·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שְׁמָ֔ם their names šə·mām מִתַּ֖חַת from under mit·ta·ḥaṯ הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם heaven . haš·šā·mā·yim לֹֽא־ No lō- אִישׁ֙ one ’îš יִתְיַצֵּ֥ב will be able to stand yiṯ·yaṣ·ṣêḇ בְּפָנֶ֔יךָ against you bə·p̄ā·ne·ḵā עַ֥ד . . . ; ‘aḏ הִשְׁמִֽדְךָ֖ you will annihilate them hiš·miḏ·ḵā אֹתָֽם׃ - . ’ō·ṯām Deuteronomy 7:25 תִּשְׂרְפ֣וּן You must burn up tiś·rə·p̄ūn בָּאֵ֑שׁ . . . bā·’êš פְּסִילֵ֥י the images pə·sî·lê אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֖ם of their gods ; ’ĕ·lō·hê·hem לֹֽא־ do not lō- תַחְמֹד֩ covet ṯaḥ·mōḏ כֶּ֨סֶף the silver ke·sep̄ וְזָהָ֤ב and gold wə·zā·hāḇ עֲלֵיהֶם֙ [that is] on them ‘ă·lê·hem וְלָקַחְתָּ֣ or take it wə·lā·qaḥ·tā לָ֔ךְ for yourselves , lāḵ פֶּ֚ן or pen תִּוָּקֵ֣שׁ you will be ensnared tiw·wā·qêš בּ֔וֹ by it ; bōw כִּ֧י for kî הֽוּא׃ it hū תוֹעֲבַ֛ת is detestable ṯō·w·‘ă·ḇaṯ יְהוָ֥ה to YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ your God . ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā Deuteronomy 7:26 וְלֹא־ And you must not wə·lō- תָבִ֤יא bring ṯā·ḇî תֽוֹעֵבָה֙ any detestable thing ṯō·w·‘ê·ḇāh אֶל־ into ’el- בֵּיתֶ֔ךָ your house , bê·ṯe·ḵā וְהָיִ֥יתָ or you, wə·hā·yî·ṯā כָּמֹ֑הוּ like it, kā·mō·hū חֵ֖רֶם will be set apart for destruction . ḥê·rem שַׁקֵּ֧ץ׀ You are to utterly detest šaq·qêṣ תְּשַׁקְּצֶ֛נּוּ . . . tə·šaq·qə·ṣen·nū וְתַעֵ֥ב׀ and abhor it , wə·ṯa·‘êḇ תְּֽתַעֲבֶ֖נּוּ . . . tə·ṯa·‘ă·ḇen·nū כִּי־ because kî- הֽוּא׃פ it hū חֵ֥רֶם is set apart for destruction . ḥê·rem Deuteronomy 8:1 תִּשְׁמְר֣וּן You must carefully tiš·mə·rūn לַעֲשׂ֑וֹת follow la·‘ă·śō·wṯ כָּל־ every kāl- הַמִּצְוָ֗ה commandment ham·miṣ·wāh אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer אָנֹכִ֧י I ’ā·nō·ḵî מְצַוְּךָ֛ am giving you mə·ṣaw·wə·ḵā הַיּ֖וֹם today , hay·yō·wm לְמַ֨עַן so that lə·ma·‘an תִּֽחְי֜וּן you may live tiḥ·yūn וּרְבִיתֶ֗ם and multiply , ū·rə·ḇî·ṯem וּבָאתֶם֙ and enter ū·ḇā·ṯem וִֽירִשְׁתֶּ֣ם and possess wî·riš·tem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאָ֔רֶץ the land hā·’ā·reṣ אֲשֶׁר־ that ’ă·šer- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh נִשְׁבַּ֥ע swore [to give] niš·ba‘ לַאֲבֹתֵיכֶֽם׃ your fathers . la·’ă·ḇō·ṯê·ḵem Deuteronomy 8:2 וְזָכַרְתָּ֣ Remember that wə·zā·ḵar·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- זֶ֛ה these zeh אַרְבָּעִ֥ים forty ’ar·bā·‘îm שָׁנָ֖ה years šā·nāh יְהוָ֧ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֛יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā הֹלִֽיכֲךָ֜ led you hō·lî·ḵă·ḵā כָּל־ all kāl- הַדֶּ֗רֶךְ the way had·de·reḵ אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer
