לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃ and possess , lə·riš·tāh Deuteronomy 6:2 לְמַ֨עַן so that you lə·ma·‘an וּבִנְךָ֣ and your children ū·ḇin·ḵā וּבֶן־ and grandchildren ū·ḇen- בִּנְךָ֔ . . . bin·ḵā תִּירָ֜א may fear tî·rā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā כֹּ֖ל all kōl יְמֵ֣י the days yə·mê חַיֶּ֑יךָ of your lives ḥay·ye·ḵā לִ֠שְׁמֹר by keeping liš·mōr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- חֻקֹּתָ֣יו His statutes ḥuq·qō·ṯāw וּמִצְוֺתָיו֮ and commandments ū·miṣ·wō·ṯāw אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer אָנֹכִ֣י I ’ā·nō·ḵî מְצַוֶּךָ֒ give mə·ṣaw·we·ḵā אַתָּה֙ you , ’at·tāh וּלְמַ֖עַן and so that ū·lə·ma·‘an יָמֶֽיךָ׃ your days yā·me·ḵā יַאֲרִכֻ֥ן may be prolonged . ya·’ă·ri·ḵun Deuteronomy 6:3 וְשָׁמַעְתָּ֤ Hear , wə·šā·ma‘·tā יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ O Israel , yiś·rā·’êl וְשָׁמַרְתָּ֣ and be careful wə·šā·mar·tā לַעֲשׂ֔וֹת to observe them , la·‘ă·śō·wṯ אֲשֶׁר֙ so that ’ă·šer יִיטַ֣ב you may prosper yî·ṭaḇ לְךָ֔ - lə·ḵā וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר - wa·’ă·šer תִּרְבּ֖וּן and multiply tir·būn מְאֹ֑ד greatly mə·’ōḏ אֶ֛רֶץ in a land ’e·reṣ זָבַ֥ת flowing zā·ḇaṯ חָלָ֖ב with milk ḥā·lāḇ וּדְבָֽשׁ׃פ and honey , ū·ḏə·ḇāš כַּאֲשֶׁר֩ just as ka·’ă·šer יְהוָ֜ה YHWH , Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֤י the God ’ĕ·lō·hê אֲבֹתֶ֙יךָ֙ of your fathers , ’ă·ḇō·ṯe·ḵā דִּבֶּ֨ר has promised dib·ber לָ֔ךְ you . lāḵ Deuteronomy 6:4 שְׁמַ֖ע Hear , šə·maʿ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל O Israel : yiś·rā·’êl יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ our God , ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū יְהוָ֥ה׀ YHWH Yah·weh אֶחָֽד׃ is One . ʾɛ·ḥå̄ḏ Deuteronomy 6:5 וְאָ֣הַבְתָּ֔ And you shall love wə·’ā·haḇ·tā אֵ֖ת - ’êṯ יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā בְּכָל־ with all bə·ḵāl לְבָבְךָ֥ your heart lə·ḇā·ḇə·ḵā וּבְכָל־ and with all ū·ḇə·ḵāl נַפְשְׁךָ֖ your soul nap̄·šə·ḵā וּבְכָל־ and with all ū·ḇə·ḵāl מְאֹדֶֽךָ׃ your strength . mə·’ō·ḏe·ḵā Deuteronomy 6:6 הָאֵ֗לֶּה These hā·’êl·leh הַדְּבָרִ֣ים words had·də·ḇā·rîm אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer אָנֹכִ֧י I ’ā·nō·ḵî מְצַוְּךָ֛ am commanding you mə·ṣaw·wə·ḵā הַיּ֖וֹם today hay·yō·wm וְהָי֞וּ are to be wə·hā·yū עַל־ upon ‘al- לְבָבֶֽךָ׃ your hearts . lə·ḇā·ḇe·ḵā Deuteronomy 6:7 וְשִׁנַּנְתָּ֣ם And you shall teach them diligently wə·šin·nan·tām לְבָנֶ֔יךָ to your children lə·ḇā·ne·ḵā וְדִבַּרְתָּ֖ and speak wə·ḏib·bar·tā בָּ֑ם of them bām בְּשִׁבְתְּךָ֤ when you sit bə·šiḇ·tə·ḵā בְּבֵיתֶ֙ךָ֙ at home bə·ḇê·ṯe·ḵā וּבְלֶכְתְּךָ֣ and when you walk ū·ḇə·leḵ·tə·ḵā בַדֶּ֔רֶךְ along the road , ḇad·de·reḵ וּֽבְשָׁכְבְּךָ֖ when you lie down ū·ḇə·šā·ḵə·bə·ḵā וּבְקוּמֶֽךָ׃ and when you get up . ū·ḇə·qū·me·ḵā
