Deuteronomy 4:3 עֵֽינֵיכֶם֙ Your eyes ‘ê·nê·ḵem הָֽרֹאֹ֔ת have seen hā·rō·’ōṯ אֵ֛ת - ’êṯ אֲשֶׁר־ what ’ă·šer- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh עָשָׂ֥ה did ‘ā·śāh בְּבַ֣עַל vvv bə·ḇa·‘al פְּע֑וֹר at Baal-peor , pə·‘ō·wr כִּ֣י for kî יְהוָ֥ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ your God ’ĕ·lō·he·ḵā הִשְׁמִיד֛וֹ destroyed hiš·mî·ḏōw מִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ׃ from among you miq·qir·be·ḵā כָל־ all ḵāl הָאִ֗ישׁ . . . hā·’îš אֲשֶׁ֤ר who ’ă·šer הָלַךְ֙ followed hā·laḵ אַחֲרֵ֣י . . . ’a·ḥă·rê בַֽעַל־ vvv ḇa·‘al- פְּע֔וֹר Baal of Peor . pə·‘ō·wr Deuteronomy 4:4 וְאַתֶּם֙ But you wə·’at·tem הַדְּבֵקִ֔ים who held fast had·də·ḇê·qîm בַּיהוָ֖ה to YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם your God ’ĕ·lō·hê·ḵem חַיִּ֥ים [are] alive ḥay·yîm הַיּֽוֹם׃ to this day , hay·yō·wm כֻּלְּכֶ֖ם every one of you . kul·lə·ḵem Deuteronomy 4:5 רְאֵ֣ה׀ See , rə·’êh לִמַּ֣דְתִּי I have taught lim·maḏ·tî אֶתְכֶ֗ם you ’eṯ·ḵem חֻקִּים֙ statutes ḥuq·qîm וּמִשְׁפָּטִ֔ים and ordinances ū·miš·pā·ṭîm כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר just as ka·’ă·šer יְהוָ֣ה YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהָ֑י my God ’ĕ·lō·hāy צִוַּ֖נִי has commanded me , ṣiw·wa·nî לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת so that you may follow them la·‘ă·śō·wṯ כֵּ֔ן . . . kên בְּקֶ֣רֶב in bə·qe·reḇ הָאָ֔רֶץ the land hā·’ā·reṣ אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer אַתֶּ֛ם you ’at·tem בָּאִ֥ים are about to enter bā·’îm שָׁ֖מָּה . . . šām·māh לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃ and possess . lə·riš·tāh Deuteronomy 4:6 וַעֲשִׂיתֶם֒ Observe them wa·‘ă·śî·ṯem וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם֮ carefully , ū·šə·mar·tem כִּ֣י for kî הִ֤וא this hî חָכְמַתְכֶם֙ will show your wisdom ḥā·ḵə·maṯ·ḵem וּבִ֣ינַתְכֶ֔ם and understanding ū·ḇî·naṯ·ḵem לְעֵינֵ֖י in the sight lə·‘ê·nê הָעַמִּ֑ים of the peoples , hā·‘am·mîm אֲשֶׁ֣ר who ’ă·šer יִשְׁמְע֗וּן will hear yiš·mə·‘ūn אֵ֚ת - ’êṯ כָּל־ of all kāl- הָאֵ֔לֶּה these hā·’êl·leh הַחֻקִּ֣ים statutes ha·ḥuq·qîm וְאָמְר֗וּ and say , wə·’ā·mə·rū רַ֚ק “ Surely raq הַזֶּֽה׃ this haz·zeh הַגָּד֖וֹל great hag·gā·ḏō·wl הַגּ֥וֹי nation hag·gō·w חָכָ֣ם [is] a wise ḥā·ḵām וְנָב֔וֹן and understanding wə·nā·ḇō·wn עַם־ people . ” ‘am- Deuteronomy 4:7 כִּ֚י For kî מִי־ what mî- ג֣וֹי nation [is] ḡō·w גָּד֔וֹל great enough gā·ḏō·wl אֲשֶׁר־ to ’ă·šer- ל֥וֹ have lōw אֱלֹהִ֖ים a god ’ĕ·lō·hîm קְרֹבִ֣ים [as] near qə·rō·ḇîm אֵלָ֑יו to them ’ê·lāw כַּיהוָ֣ה as YHWH Yah·weh אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ our God [is to us] ’ĕ·lō·hê·nū בְּכָּל־ whenever bə·ḵāl קָרְאֵ֖נוּ we call qå̄·rə·ʾē·nū אֵלָֽיו׃ on Him ? ’ê·lāw Deuteronomy 4:8 וּמִי֙ And what ū·mî
