רָאשֵׁ֣יthe leadersrā·šê

וִֽידֻעִ֔יםand respectedwî·ḏu·‘îm
אֲנָשִׁ֤ים men , ’ă·nā·šîm
וָאֶתֵּ֥ןand appointedwā·’et·tên
אֹתָ֛םthem’ō·ṯām
רָאשִׁ֖יםas leadersrā·šîm
עֲלֵיכֶ֑םover you —‘ă·lê·ḵem
שָׂרֵ֨יas commandersśā·rê
אֲלָפִ֜ים of thousands , ’ă·lā·p̄îm
וְשָׂרֵ֣י. . .wə·śā·rê
מֵא֗וֹת of hundreds , mê·’ō·wṯ
וְשָׂרֵ֤י. . .wə·śā·rê
חֲמִשִּׁים֙ of fifties , ḥă·miš·šîm
וְשָׂרֵ֣י. . .wə·śā·rê
עֲשָׂרֹ֔ת and of tens , ‘ă·śā·rōṯ
וְשֹׁטְרִ֖יםand as officerswə·šō·ṭə·rîm
לְשִׁבְטֵיכֶֽם׃for your tribes .lə·šiḇ·ṭê·ḵem

בֵּין־the disputes betweenbên-

צֶ֔דֶקfairlyṣe·ḏeq
בֵּֽין־betweenbên-
אִ֥ישׁa man’îš

אָחִ֖יוand his brother’ā·ḥîw
וּבֵ֥ין. . .ū·ḇên
גֵּרֽוֹ׃or a foreign resident .gê·rōw

הַמִּשְׁפָּ֖טjudgmentham·miš·pāṭ
לֵאלֹהִ֣יםbelongs to God .lê·lō·hîm

תַּקְרִב֥וּןAnd bringtaq·ri·ḇūn
אֵלַ֖יto me’ê·lay
וְהַדָּבָר֙any casewə·had·dā·ḇār
אֲשֶׁ֣ר-’ă·šer
יִקְשֶׁ֣הtoo difficultyiq·šeh
מִכֶּ֔ם for you , mik·kem
וּשְׁמַעְתִּֽיו׃and I will hear it . ”ū·šə·ma‘·tîw

הַ֣רthe hill countryhar
הָֽאֱמֹרִ֔י of the Amorites , hā·’ĕ·mō·rî
כָּל־through allkāl-
הַגָּדוֹל֩the vasthag·gā·ḏō·wl
וְהַנּוֹרָ֨אand terrifyingwə·han·nō·w·rā
הַה֜וּא. . .ha·hū
