Numbers 35:17 וְאִ֡ם Or if wə·’im יָד֩ anyone has in his hand yāḏ אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- בְּאֶ֣בֶן a stone bə·’e·ḇen יָמ֨וּת of deadly size yā·mūṯ בָּ֥הּ , bāh הִכָּ֛הוּ and he strikes hik·kā·hū וַיָּמֹ֖ת and kills another , way·yā·mōṯ רֹצֵ֣חַֽ he is a murderer ; rō·ṣê·aḥ הָרֹצֵֽחַ׃ the murderer hā·rō·ṣê·aḥ ה֑וּא - hū מ֥וֹת must surely be put to death . mō·wṯ יוּמַ֖ת . . . yū·maṯ Numbers 35:18 א֡וֹ If ’ōw יָד֩ anyone has in his hand yāḏ אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- יָמ֨וּת a deadly yā·mūṯ בִּכְלִ֣י object biḵ·lî עֵֽץ־ of wood ‘êṣ- בּ֥וֹ , bōw הִכָּ֛הוּ and he strikes hik·kā·hū וַיָּמֹ֖ת and kills another , way·yā·mōṯ רֹצֵ֣חַֽ he is a murderer ; rō·ṣê·aḥ הָרֹצֵֽחַ׃ the murderer hā·rō·ṣê·aḥ ה֑וּא . . . hū מ֥וֹת must surely be put to death mō·wṯ יוּמַ֖ת . . . . yū·maṯ Numbers 35:19 גֹּאֵ֣ל The avenger gō·’êl הַדָּ֔ם of blood had·dām ה֥וּא - hū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָרֹצֵ֑חַ {is to put} the murderer hā·rō·ṣê·aḥ יָמִ֖ית to death ; yā·mîṯ בְּפִגְעוֹ־ when he finds bə·p̄iḡ·‘ōw- ב֖וֹ him , ḇōw ה֥וּא he hū יְמִיתֶֽנּוּ׃ is to kill him . yə·mî·ṯen·nū Numbers 35:20 וְאִם־ Likewise, if wə·’im- בְּשִׂנְאָ֖ה anyone maliciously bə·śin·’āh יֶהְדָּפֶ֑נּוּ pushes another yeh·dā·p̄en·nū אֽוֹ־ or ’ōw- בִּצְדִיָּ֖ה intentionally biṣ·ḏî·yāh הִשְׁלִ֥יךְ throws an object hiš·lîḵ עָלָ֛יו at him ‘ā·lāw וַיָּמֹֽת׃ and kills him , way·yā·mōṯ Numbers 35:21 א֣וֹ or ’ōw בְאֵיבָ֞ה if in hostility ḇə·’ê·ḇāh הִכָּ֤הוּ he strikes him hik·kā·hū בְיָדוֹ֙ with his hand ḇə·yā·ḏōw וַיָּמֹ֔ת and he dies , way·yā·mōṯ הַמַּכֶּ֖ה the one who struck him ham·mak·keh מֽוֹת־ must surely be put to death mō·wṯ- יוּמַ֥ת . . . ; yū·maṯ ה֑וּא he hū רֹצֵ֣חַֽ is a murderer . rō·ṣê·aḥ גֹּאֵ֣ל When the avenger gō·’êl הַדָּ֗ם of blood had·dām בְּפִגְעוֹ־ finds bə·p̄iḡ·‘ōw- הָרֹצֵ֖חַ the murderer hā·rō·ṣê·aḥ בֽוֹ׃ , ḇōw יָמִ֛ית he is to kill yā·mîṯ אֶת־ him . ’eṯ- Numbers 35:22 וְאִם־ But if anyone wə·’im- הֲדָפ֑וֹ pushes a person hă·ḏā·p̄ōw בְּפֶ֥תַע suddenly , bə·p̄e·ṯa‘ בְּלֹא־ without bə·lō- אֵיבָ֖ה hostility , ’ê·ḇāh אוֹ־ or ’ōw- הִשְׁלִ֥יךְ throws hiš·lîḵ כָּל־ an kāl- כְּלִ֖י object kə·lî עָלָ֛יו at him ‘ā·lāw בְּלֹ֥א unintentionally bə·lō צְדִיָּֽה׃ . . . , ṣə·ḏî·yāh Numbers 35:23 א֣וֹ or ’ōw בְכָל־ . . . ḇə·ḵāl- בְּלֹ֣א without bə·lō רְא֔וֹת looking rə·’ō·wṯ וַיַּפֵּ֥ל drops way·yap·pêl עָלָ֖יו . . . ‘ā·lāw
