Numbers 19:5 הַפָּרָ֖ה Then the heifer hap·pā·rāh וְשָׂרַ֥ף must be burned wə·śā·rap̄ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לְעֵינָ֑יו in his sight . lə·‘ê·nāw אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֹרָ֤הּ Its hide , ‘ō·rāh וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- בְּשָׂרָהּ֙ its flesh , bə·śā·rāh וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- דָּמָ֔הּ and its blood dā·māh יִשְׂרֹֽף׃ are to be burned , yiś·rōp̄ עַל־ along with ‘al- פִּרְשָׁ֖הּ its dung . pir·šāh Numbers 19:6 הַכֹּהֵ֗ן The priest hak·kō·hên וְלָקַ֣ח is to take wə·lā·qaḥ אֶ֛רֶז cedar ’e·rez עֵ֥ץ wood , ‘êṣ וְאֵז֖וֹב hyssop , wə·’ê·zō·wḇ וּשְׁנִ֣י and scarlet wool ū·šə·nî תוֹלָ֑עַת . . . ṯō·w·lā·‘aṯ וְהִשְׁלִ֕יךְ and throw wə·hiš·lîḵ אֶל־ them ’el- תּ֖וֹךְ onto tō·wḵ שְׂרֵפַ֥ת the burning śə·rê·p̄aṯ הַפָּרָֽה׃ heifer . hap·pā·rāh Numbers 19:7 הַכֹּהֵ֗ן Then the priest hak·kō·hên וְכִבֶּ֨ס must wash wə·ḵib·bes בְּגָדָ֜יו his clothes bə·ḡā·ḏāw וְרָחַ֤ץ and bathe wə·rā·ḥaṣ בְּשָׂרוֹ֙ his body bə·śā·rōw בַּמַּ֔יִם in water ; bam·ma·yim וְאַחַ֖ר after that wə·’a·ḥar יָב֣וֹא he may enter yā·ḇō·w אֶל־ . . . ’el- הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה the camp , ham·ma·ḥă·neh הַכֹּהֵ֖ן but he hak·kō·hên וְטָמֵ֥א will be ceremonially unclean wə·ṭā·mê עַד־ until ‘aḏ- הָעָֽרֶב׃ evening . hā·‘ā·reḇ Numbers 19:8 וְהַשֹּׂרֵ֣ף The one who burned wə·haś·śō·rêp̄ אֹתָ֔הּ [the heifer] ’ō·ṯāh יְכַבֵּ֤ס must also wash yə·ḵab·bês בְּגָדָיו֙ his clothes bə·ḡā·ḏāw וְרָחַ֥ץ and bathe wə·rā·ḥaṣ בְּשָׂר֖וֹ his body bə·śā·rōw בַּמָּ֑יִם . . . bam·mā·yim בַּמַּ֔יִם in water , bam·ma·yim וְטָמֵ֖א and he too will be ceremonially unclean wə·ṭā·mê עַד־ until ‘aḏ- הָעָֽרֶב׃ evening . hā·‘ā·reḇ Numbers 19:9 אִ֣ישׁ Then a man ’îš טָה֗וֹר who is ceremonially clean ṭā·hō·wr אֵ֚ת - ’êṯ וְאָסַ֣ף׀ is to gather up wə·’ā·sap̄ אֵ֣פֶר the ashes ’ê·p̄er הַפָּרָ֔ה of the heifer hap·pā·rāh וְהִנִּ֛יחַ and store [them] wə·hin·nî·aḥ טָה֑וֹר in a ceremonially clean ṭā·hō·wr בְּמָק֣וֹם place bə·mā·qō·wm מִח֥וּץ outside mi·ḥūṣ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֖ה the camp . lam·ma·ḥă·neh וְ֠הָיְתָה They must be wə·hā·yə·ṯāh לְמִשְׁמֶ֛רֶת kept lə·miš·me·reṯ לַעֲדַ֨ת by the congregation la·‘ă·ḏaṯ בְּנֵֽי־ . . . bə·nê- יִשְׂרָאֵ֧ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl לְמֵ֥י for preparing the water lə·mê נִדָּ֖ה of purification ; nid·dāh הִֽוא׃ this [is] hî חַטָּ֥את for purification from sin . ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ Numbers 19:10 הָאֹסֵ֨ף The man who has gathered up hā·’ō·sêp̄ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֵ֤פֶר the ashes ’ê·p̄er הַפָּרָה֙ of the heifer hap·pā·rāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וְ֠כִבֶּס must also wash wə·ḵib·bes בְּגָדָ֔יו his clothes , bə·ḡā·ḏāw וְטָמֵ֖א and he will be ceremonially unclean wə·ṭā·mê עַד־ until ‘aḏ- הָעָ֑רֶב evening . hā·‘ā·reḇ וְֽהָיְתָ֞ה This wə·hā·yə·ṯāh עוֹלָֽם׃ is a permanent ‘ō·w·lām לְחֻקַּ֥ת statute lə·ḥuq·qaṯ לִבְנֵ֣י for the Israelites liḇ·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl
