מִתּ֥וֹךְ from mit·tō·wḵ הַקָּהָֽל׃ the assembly . haq·qā·hāl Numbers 16:34 לְקֹלָ֑ם At their cries , lə·qō·lām וְכָל־ all wə·ḵāl יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל the people of Israel yiś·rā·’êl אֲשֶׁ֛ר who [were] ’ă·šer סְבִיבֹתֵיהֶ֖ם around them sə·ḇî·ḇō·ṯê·hem נָ֣סוּ fled , nā·sū כִּ֣י - kî אָֽמְר֔וּ saying , ’ā·mə·rū הָאָֽרֶץ׃ “ The earth hā·’ā·reṣ פֶּן־ may pen- תִּבְלָעֵ֖נוּ swallow us too ! ” tiḇ·lā·‘ê·nū Numbers 16:35 וְאֵ֥שׁ And fire wə·’êš יָצְאָ֖ה came forth yā·ṣə·’āh מֵאֵ֣ת - mê·’êṯ יְהוָ֑ה from YHWH Yah·weh וַתֹּ֗אכַל and consumed wat·tō·ḵal אֵ֣ת - ’êṯ הַחֲמִשִּׁ֤ים the 250 ha·ḥă·miš·šîm וּמָאתַ֙יִם֙ . . . ū·mā·ṯa·yim אִ֔ישׁ men ’îš מַקְרִיבֵ֖י who were offering maq·rî·ḇê הַקְּטֹֽרֶת׃פ the incense . haq·qə·ṭō·reṯ Numbers 16:36 יְהוָ֖ה Then YHWH Yah·weh וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר said way·ḏab·bêr אֶל־ to ’el- מֹשֶׁ֥ה Moses mō·šeh לֵּאמֹֽר׃ . . . , lê·mōr Numbers 16:37 אֱמֹ֨ר “ Tell ’ĕ·mōr אֶל־ . . . ’el- אֶלְעָזָ֜ר Eleazar ’el·‘ā·zār בֶּן־ son ben- אַהֲרֹ֣ן of Aaron ’a·hă·rōn הַכֹּהֵ֗ן the priest hak·kō·hên וְיָרֵ֤ם to remove wə·yā·rêm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַמַּחְתֹּת֙ the censers ham·maḥ·tōṯ מִבֵּ֣ין from mib·bên הַשְּׂרֵפָ֔ה the flames haś·śə·rê·p̄āh וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- זְרֵה־ to scatter zə·rêh- הָאֵ֖שׁ the coals hā·’êš הָ֑לְאָה far away , hā·lə·’āh כִּ֖י because kî קָדֵֽשׁוּ׃ [the censers] are holy . qā·ḏê·šū Numbers 16:38 אֵ֡ת - ’êṯ מַחְתּוֹת֩ As for the censers maḥ·tō·wṯ הָאֵ֜לֶּה of those hā·’êl·leh הַֽחַטָּאִ֨ים who sinned ha·ḥaṭ·ṭā·’îm בְּנַפְשֹׁתָ֗ם at the cost of their own lives , bə·nap̄·šō·ṯām וְעָשׂ֨וּ vvv wə·‘ā·śū אֹתָ֜ם vvv ’ō·ṯām רִקֻּעֵ֤י hammer them into riq·qu·‘ê פַחִים֙ sheets p̄a·ḥîm צִפּ֣וּי to overlay ṣip·pui לַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ the altar , lam·miz·bê·aḥ כִּֽי־ for kî- הִקְרִיבֻ֥ם these were presented hiq·rî·ḇum לִפְנֵֽי־ before lip̄·nê- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH , Yah·weh וַיִּקְדָּ֑שׁוּ and so have become holy . way·yiq·dā·šū וְיִֽהְי֥וּ They will serve as wə·yih·yū לְא֖וֹת a sign lə·’ō·wṯ לִבְנֵ֥י to the Israelites liḇ·nê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ . . . . ” yiś·rā·’êl Numbers 16:39 אֶלְעָזָ֣ר So Eleazar ’el·‘ā·zār הַכֹּהֵ֗ן the priest hak·kō·hên אֵ֚ת - ’êṯ וַיִּקַּ֞ח took way·yiq·qaḥ הַנְּחֹ֔שֶׁת the bronze han·nə·ḥō·šeṯ מַחְתּ֣וֹת censers maḥ·tō·wṯ אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer הִקְרִ֖יבוּ brought hiq·rî·ḇū הַשְּׂרֻפִ֑ים by those who had been burned up , haś·śə·ru·p̄îm וַֽיְרַקְּע֖וּם and he had them hammered out way·raq·qə·‘ūm צִפּ֥וּי to overlay ṣip·pui לַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ the altar , lam·miz·bê·aḥ Numbers 16:40 אֲשֶׁ֨ר just as ’ă·šer
