שְׁלָחַ֔נִי has sent me šə·lā·ḥa·nî לַעֲשׂ֕וֹת to do la·‘ă·śō·wṯ אֵ֥ת - ’êṯ כָּל־ all kāl- הָאֵ֑לֶּה these hā·’êl·leh הַֽמַּעֲשִׂ֖ים things , ham·ma·‘ă·śîm כִּי־ for kî- לֹ֖א it was not lō מִלִּבִּֽי׃ my own doing : mil·lib·bî Numbers 16:29 אִם־ If ’im- אֵ֔לֶּה these ’êl·leh יְמֻת֣וּן men die yə·mu·ṯūn כְּמ֤וֹת a natural death kə·mō·wṯ כָּל־ - kāl- הָֽאָדָם֙ - , hā·’ā·ḏām יִפָּקֵ֖ד or if they suffer yip·pā·qêḏ עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם . . . ‘ă·lê·hem וּפְקֻדַּת֙ the fate ū·p̄ə·qud·daṯ כָּל־ of all kāl- הָ֣אָדָ֔ם men , hā·’ā·ḏām יְהוָ֖ה then YHWH Yah·weh לֹ֥א has not lō שְׁלָחָֽנִי׃ sent me . šə·lā·ḥā·nî Numbers 16:30 וְאִם־ But if wə·’im- יְהוָ֗ה YHWH Yah·weh יִבְרָ֣א brings about yiḇ·rā בְּרִיאָ֞ה something unprecedented , bə·rî·’āh הָאֲדָמָ֤ה and the earth hā·’ă·ḏā·māh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וּפָצְתָ֨ה opens ū·p̄ā·ṣə·ṯāh פִּ֙יהָ֙ its mouth pî·hā וּבָלְעָ֤ה and swallows ū·ḇā·lə·‘āh אֹתָם֙ them ’ō·ṯām וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer לָהֶ֔ם belongs to them lā·hem וְיָרְד֥וּ so that they go down wə·yā·rə·ḏū חַיִּ֖ים alive ḥay·yîm שְׁאֹ֑לָה into Sheol , šə·’ō·lāh וִֽידַעְתֶּ֕ם then you will know wî·ḏa‘·tem כִּ֧י that kî הָאֵ֖לֶּה these hā·’êl·leh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאֲנָשִׁ֥ים men hā·’ă·nā·šîm נִֽאֲצ֛וּ have treated ni·’ă·ṣū יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH {with contempt} . ” Yah·weh Numbers 16:31 וַיְהִי֙ - way·hî כְּכַלֹּת֔וֹ As soon as [Moses] had finished kə·ḵal·lō·ṯōw לְדַבֵּ֕ר saying lə·ḏab·bêr אֵ֥ת - ’êṯ כָּל־ all kāl- הָאֵ֑לֶּה this hā·’êl·leh הַדְּבָרִ֖ים . . . , had·də·ḇā·rîm הָאֲדָמָ֖ה the ground hā·’ă·ḏā·māh אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer תַּחְתֵּיהֶֽם׃ beneath them taḥ·tê·hem וַתִּבָּקַ֥ע split open , wat·tib·bā·qa‘ Numbers 16:32 הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ and the earth hā·’ā·reṣ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַתִּפְתַּ֤ח opened wat·tip̄·taḥ פִּ֔יהָ its mouth pî·hā וַתִּבְלַ֥ע and swallowed wat·tiḇ·la‘ אֹתָ֖ם them ’ō·ṯām וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- בָּתֵּיהֶ֑ם their households — bāt·tê·hem וְאֵ֤ת - wə·’êṯ כָּל־ all kāl- לְקֹ֔רַח Korah’s lə·qō·raḥ וְאֵ֖ת - wə·’êṯ הָאָדָם֙ men hā·’ā·ḏām אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer כָּל־ and all kāl- הָרֲכֽוּשׁ׃ their possessions . hā·ră·ḵūš Numbers 16:33 הֵ֣ם They hêm וַיֵּ֨רְד֜וּ went down way·yê·rə·ḏū חַיִּ֖ים alive ḥay·yîm שְׁאֹ֑לָה into Sheol šə·’ō·lāh וְכָל־ with all wə·ḵāl אֲשֶׁ֥ר they owned ’ă·šer לָהֶ֛ם . lā·hem הָאָ֔רֶץ The earth hā·’ā·reṣ וַתְּכַ֤ס closed wat·tə·ḵas עֲלֵיהֶם֙ over them , ‘ă·lê·hem וַיֹּאבְד֖וּ and they vanished way·yō·ḇə·ḏū
