Numbers 15:34 כִּ֚י and because kî לֹ֣א it had not been lō פֹרַ֔שׁ declared p̄ō·raš מַה־ what mah- יֵּעָשֶׂ֖ה should be done yê·‘ā·śeh לֽוֹ׃ס to him , lōw וַיַּנִּ֥יחוּ they placed way·yan·nî·ḥū אֹת֖וֹ him ’ō·ṯōw בַּמִּשְׁמָ֑ר in custody . bam·miš·mār Numbers 15:35 יְהוָה֙ And YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֤אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- מֹשֶׁ֔ה Moses , mō·šeh הָאִ֑ישׁ “ The man hā·’îš מ֥וֹת must surely be put to death mō·wṯ יוּמַ֖ת . . . . yū·maṯ כָּל־ The whole kāl- הָ֣עֵדָ֔ה congregation hā·‘ê·ḏāh רָג֨וֹם is to stone rā·ḡō·wm בָֽאֲבָנִים֙ . . . ḇā·’ă·ḇā·nîm אֹת֤וֹ him ’ō·ṯōw מִח֖וּץ outside mi·ḥūṣ לַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃ the camp . ” lam·ma·ḥă·neh Numbers 15:36 כָּל־ So the whole kāl- הָעֵדָ֗ה congregation hā·‘ê·ḏāh אֶל־ . . . ’el- וַיֹּצִ֨יאוּ took way·yō·ṣî·’ū אֹת֜וֹ [the man] ’ō·ṯōw מִחוּץ֙ outside mi·ḥūṣ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה the camp lam·ma·ḥă·neh וַיִּרְגְּמ֥וּ and stoned way·yir·gə·mū אֹת֛וֹ - ’ō·ṯōw בָּאֲבָנִ֖ים him bā·’ă·ḇā·nîm וַיָּמֹ֑ת to death , way·yā·mōṯ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר as ka·’ă·šer יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- צִוָּ֥ה had commanded ṣiw·wāh מֹשֶֽׁה׃פ Moses . mō·šeh Numbers 15:37 יְהוָ֖ה Later, YHWH Yah·weh וַיֹּ֥אמֶר said way·yō·mer אֶל־ to ’el- מֹשֶׁ֥ה Moses mō·šeh לֵּאמֹֽר׃ . . . , lê·mōr Numbers 15:38 דַּבֵּ֞ר “ Speak dab·bêr אֶל־ to ’el- בְּנֵ֤י the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ . . . yiś·rā·’êl וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ and tell them wə·’ā·mar·tā אֲלֵהֶ֔ם that ’ă·lê·hem לְדֹרֹתָ֑ם throughout the generations to come lə·ḏō·rō·ṯām וְעָשׂ֨וּ they are to make wə·‘ā·śū לָהֶ֥ם for themselves lā·hem צִיצִ֛ת tassels ṣî·ṣiṯ עַל־ for ‘al- כַּנְפֵ֥י the corners kan·p̄ê בִגְדֵיהֶ֖ם of their garments , ḇiḡ·ḏê·hem וְנָֽתְנ֛וּ with wə·nā·ṯə·nū תְּכֵֽלֶת׃ a blue tə·ḵê·leṯ פְּתִ֥יל cord pə·ṯîl עַל־ on ‘al- צִיצִ֥ת each tassel ṣî·ṣiṯ הַכָּנָ֖ף . . . . hak·kā·nāp̄ Numbers 15:39 וְהָיָ֣ה These will serve wə·hā·yāh לָכֶם֮ lā·ḵem לְצִיצִת֒ as tassels lə·ṣî·ṣiṯ וּרְאִיתֶ֣ם for you to look at , ū·rə·’î·ṯem אֹת֗וֹ - ’ō·ṯōw וּזְכַרְתֶּם֙ so that you may remember ū·zə·ḵar·tem אֶת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- מִצְוֺ֣ת the commandments miṣ·wōṯ יְהוָ֔ה of YHWH , Yah·weh וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֖ם that you may obey wa·‘ă·śî·ṯem אֹתָ֑ם them ’ō·ṯām וְלֹֽא־ and not wə·lō- זֹנִ֖ים prostitute yourselves zō·nîm אַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃ . . . ’a·ḥă·rê·hem תָתֻ֜רוּ by following ṯā·ṯu·rū אַחֲרֵ֤י . . . ’a·ḥă·rê לְבַבְכֶם֙ your own heart lə·ḇaḇ·ḵem וְאַחֲרֵ֣י . . . wə·’a·ḥă·rê
