Numbers 14:5 מֹשֶׁ֛ה Then Moses mō·šeh וְאַהֲרֹ֖ן and Aaron wə·’a·hă·rōn וַיִּפֹּ֥ל fell way·yip·pōl עַל־ ‘al- פְּנֵיהֶ֑ם facedown pə·nê·hem לִפְנֵ֕י before lip̄·nê כָּל־ the whole kāl- קְהַ֥ל assembly qə·hal עֲדַ֖ת of the congregation ‘ă·ḏaṯ בְּנֵ֥י . . . bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Numbers 14:6 וִיהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ Joshua wî·hō·wō·šu·a‘ בִּן־ son bin- נ֗וּן of Nun nūn וְכָלֵב֙ and Caleb wə·ḵā·lêḇ בֶּן־ son ben- יְפֻנֶּ֔ה of Jephunneh , yə·p̄un·neh מִן־ who were min- הַתָּרִ֖ים among those who had spied out hat·tā·rîm אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאָ֑רֶץ the land , hā·’ā·reṣ קָרְע֖וּ tore qā·rə·‘ū בִּגְדֵיהֶֽם׃ their clothes biḡ·ḏê·hem Numbers 14:7 וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ and said way·yō·mə·rū אֶל־ to ’el- כָּל־ the whole kāl- עֲדַ֥ת congregation ‘ă·ḏaṯ בְּנֵֽי־ . . . bə·nê- יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl לֵאמֹ֑ר . . . , lê·mōr הָאָ֗רֶץ “ The land hā·’ā·reṣ אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer עָבַ֤רְנוּ we passed through ‘ā·ḇar·nū בָהּ֙ ḇāh לָת֣וּר and explored lā·ṯūr אֹתָ֔הּ - ’ō·ṯāh מְאֹ֥ד [is] an exceedingly mə·’ōḏ מְאֹֽד׃ . . . mə·’ōḏ טוֹבָ֥ה good ṭō·w·ḇāh הָאָ֖רֶץ land . hā·’ā·reṣ Numbers 14:8 אִם־ If ’im- יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh חָפֵ֥ץ delights ḥā·p̄êṣ בָּ֙נוּ֙ in us , bā·nū וְהֵבִ֤יא He will bring wə·hê·ḇî אֹתָ֙נוּ֙ us ’ō·ṯā·nū אֶל־ into ’el- הַזֹּ֔את this haz·zōṯ הָאָ֣רֶץ land , hā·’ā·reṣ אֶ֕רֶץ a land ’e·reṣ אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- הִ֛וא - hî זָבַ֥ת flowing zā·ḇaṯ חָלָ֖ב with milk ḥā·lāḇ וּדְבָֽשׁ׃ and honey , ū·ḏə·ḇāš וּנְתָנָ֖הּ and He will give it ū·nə·ṯā·nāh לָ֑נוּ to us . lā·nū Numbers 14:9 אַ֣ךְ Only ’aḵ אַל־ do not ’al- תִּמְרֹדוּ֒ rebel tim·rō·ḏū וְאַתֶּ֗ם . . . wə·’at·tem בַּֽיהוָה֮ against YHWH , Yah·weh אַל־ and do not ’al- תִּֽירְאוּ֙ be afraid tî·rə·’ū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עַ֣ם of the people ‘am הָאָ֔רֶץ of the land , hā·’ā·reṣ כִּ֥י for kî לַחְמֵ֖נוּ they will be like bread for us laḥ·mê·nū הֵ֑ם . . . . hêm צִלָּ֧ם Their protection ṣil·lām סָ֣ר has been removed sār מֵעֲלֵיהֶ֛ם . . . , mê·‘ă·lê·hem וַֽיהוָ֥ה and YHWH Yah·weh אִתָּ֖נוּ is with us . ’it·tā·nū אַל־ Do not ’al- תִּירָאֻֽם׃ be afraid of them ! ” tî·rā·’um Numbers 14:10 כָּל־ But the whole kāl- הָ֣עֵדָ֔ה congregation hā·‘ê·ḏāh וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ threatened way·yō·mə·rū לִרְגּ֥וֹם to stone lir·gō·wm אֹתָ֖ם - ’ō·ṯām בָּאֲבָנִ֑ים [Joshua and Caleb] . bā·’ă·ḇā·nîm וּכְב֣וֹד Then the glory ū·ḵə·ḇō·wḏ יְהוָ֗ה of YHWH Yah·weh
