הָר֙וּחַ֙ the Spirit hā·rū·aḥ אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ’ă·šer עָלָ֔יו was on [Moses] ‘ā·lāw וַיִּתֵּ֕ן and placed way·yit·tên עַל־ that Spirit on ‘al- שִׁבְעִ֥ים the seventy šiḇ·‘îm אִ֖ישׁ . . . ’îš הַזְּקֵנִ֑ים elders . haz·zə·qê·nîm וַיְהִ֗י . . . way·hî הָר֔וּחַ As the Spirit hā·rū·aḥ כְּנ֤וֹחַ rested kə·nō·w·aḥ עֲלֵיהֶם֙ on them , ‘ă·lê·hem וַיִּֽתְנַבְּא֖וּ they prophesied — way·yiṯ·nab·bə·’ū וְלֹ֥א but they never wə·lō יָסָֽפוּ׃ did so again . yā·sā·p̄ū Numbers 11:26 שְׁנֵֽי־ Two šə·nê- אֲנָשִׁ֣ים׀ men , ’ă·nā·šîm וַיִּשָּׁאֲר֣וּ however, had remained way·yiš·šā·’ă·rū בַּֽמַּחֲנֶ֡ה in the camp — bam·ma·ḥă·neh הָאֶחָ֣ד׀ one hā·’e·ḥāḏ שֵׁ֣ם named šêm אֶלְדָּ֡ד Eldad ’el·dāḏ וְשֵׁם֩ . . . wə·šêm הַשֵּׁנִ֨י and the other haš·šê·nî מֵידָ֜ד Medad — mê·ḏāḏ הָר֗וּחַ and the Spirit hā·rū·aḥ וַתָּ֧נַח rested wat·tā·naḥ עֲלֵיהֶ֣ם on them . ‘ă·lê·hem וְהֵ֙מָּה֙ They wə·hêm·māh בַּכְּתֻבִ֔ים were among those listed , bak·kə·ṯu·ḇîm וְלֹ֥א but they had not wə·lō יָצְא֖וּ gone out yā·ṣə·’ū הָאֹ֑הֱלָה to the tent , hā·’ō·hĕ·lāh וַיִּֽתְנַבְּא֖וּ and they prophesied way·yiṯ·nab·bə·’ū בַּֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃ in the camp . bam·ma·ḥă·neh Numbers 11:27 הַנַּ֔עַר A young man han·na·‘ar וַיָּ֣רָץ ran way·yā·rāṣ וַיַּגֵּ֥ד and reported way·yag·gêḏ לְמֹשֶׁ֖ה to Moses , lə·mō·šeh וַיֹּאמַ֑ר . . . way·yō·mar אֶלְדָּ֣ד “ Eldad ’el·dāḏ וּמֵידָ֔ד and Medad ū·mê·ḏāḏ מִֽתְנַבְּאִ֖ים are prophesying miṯ·nab·bə·’îm בַּֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃ in the camp . ” bam·ma·ḥă·neh Numbers 11:28 יְהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ Joshua yə·hō·wō·šu·a‘ בִּן־ son bin- נ֗וּן of Nun , nūn מְשָׁרֵ֥ת the attendant mə·šā·rêṯ מֹשֶׁ֛ה to Moses mō·šeh מִבְּחֻרָ֖יו since youth , mib·bə·ḥu·rāw וַיַּ֜עַן spoke up way·ya·‘an וַיֹּאמַ֑ר and said , way·yō·mar מֹשֶׁ֖ה “ Moses , mō·šeh אֲדֹנִ֥י my lord , ’ă·ḏō·nî כְּלָאֵֽם׃ stop them ! ” kə·lā·’êm Numbers 11:29 מֹשֶׁ֔ה But Moses mō·šeh וַיֹּ֤אמֶר replied way·yō·mer לוֹ֙ , lōw אַתָּ֖ה “ Are you ’at·tāh הַֽמְקַנֵּ֥א jealous ham·qan·nê לִ֑י on my lî וּמִ֨י account ? ū·mî יִתֵּ֜ן I wish that yit·tên כָּל־ all kāl- יְהוָה֙ YHWH’s Yah·weh עַ֤ם people ‘am נְבִיאִ֔ים were prophets nə·ḇî·’îm כִּי־ and that kî- יְהוָ֛ה YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יִתֵּ֧ן would place yit·tên רוּח֖וֹ His Spirit rū·ḥōw עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ on them ! ” ‘ă·lê·hem Numbers 11:30 מֹשֶׁ֖ה Then Moses mō·šeh וַיֵּאָסֵ֥ף returned way·yê·’ā·sêp̄ אֶל־ to ’el- הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה the camp , ham·ma·ḥă·neh ה֖וּא . . . hū וְזִקְנֵ֥י along with the elders wə·ziq·nê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Numbers 11:31 וְר֜וּחַ Now a wind wə·rū·aḥ מִן־ sent by min-
