וְהָ֥יוּ will belong wə·hā·yū לִ֖י to Me . lî Numbers 8:15 וְאַֽחֲרֵי־ After wə·’a·ḥă·rê- כֵן֙ - ḵên וְטִֽהַרְתָּ֣ you have cleansed wə·ṭi·har·tā אֹתָ֔ם them ’ō·ṯām וְהֵנַפְתָּ֥ and presented wə·hê·nap̄·tā אֹתָ֖ם them ’ō·ṯām תְּנוּפָֽה׃ as a wave offering , tə·nū·p̄āh הַלְוִיִּ֔ם [they] hal·wî·yim יָבֹ֣אוּ may come yā·ḇō·’ū לַעֲבֹ֖ד to serve la·‘ă·ḇōḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֹ֣הֶל at the Tent ’ō·hel מוֹעֵ֑ד of Meeting . mō·w·‘êḏ Numbers 8:16 כִּי֩ For kî הֵ֙מָּה֙ [the Levites] hêm·māh נְתֻנִ֨ים have been wholly given nə·ṯu·nîm נְתֻנִ֥ים . . . nə·ṯu·nîm לִ֔י to Me lî מִתּ֖וֹךְ from among mit·tō·wḵ בְּנֵ֣י the sons bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl לָקַ֥חְתִּי I have taken lā·qaḥ·tî אֹתָ֖ם them ’ō·ṯām לִֽי׃ for Myself lî תַּחַת֩ in place of ta·ḥaṯ כָּל־ all kāl- פִּטְרַ֨ת who come first piṭ·raṯ רֶ֜חֶם from the womb , re·ḥem בְּכ֥וֹר the firstborn bə·ḵō·wr כֹּל֙ of all kōl מִבְּנֵ֣י the sons mib·bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Numbers 8:17 כִּ֣י For kî כָל־ every ḵāl בְּכוֹר֙ firstborn bə·ḵō·wr בִּבְנֵ֣י male biḇ·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל in Israel yiś·rā·’êl לִ֤י is Mine , lî בָּאָדָ֖ם both man bā·’ā·ḏām וּבַבְּהֵמָ֑ה and beast . ū·ḇab·bə·hê·māh הִקְדַּ֥שְׁתִּי I set them apart hiq·daš·tî אֹתָ֖ם - ’ō·ṯām לִֽי׃ for Myself lî בְּי֗וֹם on the day bə·yō·wm הַכֹּתִ֤י I struck down hak·kō·ṯî כָל־ all ḵāl בְּכוֹר֙ the firstborn bə·ḵō·wr בְּאֶ֣רֶץ in the land bə·’e·reṣ מִצְרַ֔יִם of Egypt . miṣ·ra·yim Numbers 8:18 וָאֶקַּח֙ But I have taken wā·’eq·qaḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַלְוִיִּ֔ם the Levites hal·wî·yim תַּ֥חַת in place of ta·ḥaṯ כָּל־ all kāl- בְּכ֖וֹר the firstborn bə·ḵō·wr בִּבְנֵ֥י among the sons biḇ·nê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Numbers 8:19 וָאֶתְּנָ֨ה And I have given wā·’et·tə·nāh אֶת־ ’eṯ- הַלְוִיִּ֜ם the Levites hal·wî·yim נְתֻנִ֣ים׀ as a gift nə·ṯu·nîm לְאַהֲרֹ֣ן to Aaron lə·’a·hă·rōn בְּנֵ֣י [and] his sons bə·nê מִתּוֹךְ֮ from among mit·tō·wḵ וּלְבָנָ֗יו vvv ū·lə·ḇā·nāw יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ the Israelites , yiś·rā·’êl לַעֲבֹ֞ד to perform la·‘ă·ḇōḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֲבֹדַ֤ת the service ‘ă·ḇō·ḏaṯ בְּנֵֽי־ for the Israelites bə·nê- יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ . . . yiś·rā·’êl בְּאֹ֣הֶל at the Tent bə·’ō·hel מוֹעֵ֔ד of Meeting mō·w·‘êḏ וּלְכַפֵּ֖ר and to make atonement ū·lə·ḵap·pêr בְּנֵ֣י on their bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl עַל־ behalf , ‘al- וְלֹ֨א so that no wə·lō נֶ֔גֶף plague ne·ḡep̄ יִהְיֶ֜ה will come yih·yeh בִּבְנֵ֤י against the Israelites biḇ·nê יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ . . . yiś·rā·’êl בְּנֵֽי־ when they bə·nê-
