אֵלָ֑יו him : ’ê·lāw בְּהַעֲלֹֽתְךָ֙ ‘ When you set up bə·ha·‘ă·lō·ṯə·ḵā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַנֵּרֹ֔ת - han·nê·rōṯ אֶל־ - ’el- שִׁבְעַ֥ת the seven šiḇ·‘aṯ הַנֵּרֽוֹת׃ lamps , han·nê·rō·wṯ יָאִ֖ירוּ they are to light [the area] yā·’î·rū מוּל֙ in front mūl פְּנֵ֣י . . . pə·nê הַמְּנוֹרָ֔ה of the lampstand . ’” ham·mə·nō·w·rāh Numbers 8:3 אַהֲרֹ֔ן And Aaron ’a·hă·rōn וַיַּ֤עַשׂ did way·ya·‘aś כֵּן֙ so ; kên הֶעֱלָ֖ה he set up he·‘ĕ·lāh נֵרֹתֶ֑יהָ the lamps nê·rō·ṯe·hā פְּנֵ֣י facing pə·nê אֶל־ toward ’el- מוּל֙ the front mūl הַמְּנוֹרָ֔ה of the lampstand , ham·mə·nō·w·rāh כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֛ר just as ka·’ă·šer יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- צִוָּ֥ה had commanded ṣiw·wāh מֹשֶֽׁה׃ Moses . mō·šeh Numbers 8:4 וְזֶ֨ה This is how wə·zeh הַמְּנֹרָה֙ the lampstand ham·mə·nō·rāh מַעֲשֵׂ֤ה was constructed : ma·‘ă·śêh מִקְשָׁ֣ה it was made of hammered miq·šāh זָהָ֔ב gold zā·hāḇ עַד־ from ‘aḏ- יְרֵכָ֥הּ its base yə·rê·ḵāh עַד־ to ‘aḏ- פִּרְחָ֖הּ its blossoms , pir·ḥāh הַמְּנֹרָֽה׃פ - ham·mə·nō·rāh עָשָׂ֖ה fashioned ‘ā·śāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- מִקְשָׁ֣ה - miq·šāh הִ֑וא - hî כַּמַּרְאֶ֗ה according to the pattern kam·mar·’eh אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer יְהוָה֙ YHWH Yah·weh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הֶרְאָ֤ה had shown her·’āh מֹשֶׁ֔ה Moses mō·šeh כֵּ֥ן . . . . kên Numbers 8:5 יְהוָ֖ה Again YHWH Yah·weh וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר spoke way·ḏab·bêr אֶל־ to ’el- מֹשֶׁ֥ה Moses , mō·šeh לֵּאמֹֽר׃ saying , lê·mōr Numbers 8:6 קַ֚ח “ Take qaḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַלְוִיִּ֔ם the Levites hal·wî·yim מִתּ֖וֹךְ from among mit·tō·wḵ בְּנֵ֣י the Israelites bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl וְטִהַרְתָּ֖ and make them ceremonially clean wə·ṭi·har·tā אֹתָֽם׃ - . ’ō·ṯām Numbers 8:7 וְכֹֽה־ This is what wə·ḵōh- תַעֲשֶׂ֤ה you must do ṯa·‘ă·śeh לָהֶם֙ lā·hem לְטַֽהֲרָ֔ם to cleanse them : lə·ṭa·hă·rām הַזֵּ֥ה Sprinkle haz·zêh עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם them ‘ă·lê·hem מֵ֣י with the water mê חַטָּ֑את of purification . ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ וְהֶעֱבִ֤ירוּ Have them shave wə·he·‘ĕ·ḇî·rū תַ֙עַר֙ . . . ṯa·‘ar עַל־ . . . ‘al- כָּל־ their whole kāl- בְּשָׂרָ֔ם bodies bə·śā·rām וְכִבְּס֥וּ and wash wə·ḵib·bə·sū בִגְדֵיהֶ֖ם their clothes , ḇiḡ·ḏê·hem וְהִטֶּהָֽרוּ׃ and so purify themselves . wə·hiṭ·ṭe·hā·rū Numbers 8:8 וְלָֽקְחוּ֙ Then have them take wə·lā·qə·ḥū פַּ֣ר a young bull par בֶּן־ . . . ben- בָּקָ֔ר . . . bā·qār וּמִנְחָת֔וֹ with its grain offering ū·min·ḥā·ṯōw סֹ֖לֶת of fine flour sō·leṯ בְּלוּלָ֣ה mixed bə·lū·lāh
