בַשָּׁ֑מֶן with oil , ḇaš·šā·men תִּקַּ֥ח and you are to take tiq·qaḥ שֵׁנִ֥י a second šê·nî בֶן־ . . . ḇen- בָּקָ֖ר . . . bā·qār וּפַר־ young bull ū·p̄ar- לְחַטָּֽאת׃ for a sin offering . lə·ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ Numbers 8:9 וְהִקְרַבְתָּ֙ Bring wə·hiq·raḇ·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַלְוִיִּ֔ם the Levites hal·wî·yim לִפְנֵ֖י before lip̄·nê אֹ֣הֶל the Tent ’ō·hel מוֹעֵ֑ד of Meeting mō·w·‘êḏ וְהִ֨קְהַלְתָּ֔ and assemble wə·hiq·hal·tā אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- כָּל־ the whole kāl- עֲדַ֖ת congregation ‘ă·ḏaṯ בְּנֵ֥י . . . bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Numbers 8:10 וְהִקְרַבְתָּ֥ You are to present wə·hiq·raḇ·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַלְוִיִּ֖ם the Levites hal·wî·yim לִפְנֵ֣י before lip̄·nê יְהוָ֑ה YHWH Yah·weh בְנֵי־ and have the Israelites ḇə·nê- יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וְסָמְכ֧וּ lay wə·sā·mə·ḵū יְדֵיהֶ֖ם their hands yə·ḏê·hem עַל־ upon ‘al- הַלְוִיִּֽם׃ [them] . hal·wî·yim Numbers 8:11 אַהֲרֹ֨ן Aaron ’a·hă·rōn אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וְהֵנִיף֩ is to present wə·hê·nîp̄ הַלְוִיִּ֤ם the Levites hal·wî·yim לִפְנֵ֣י before lip̄·nê יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh מֵאֵ֖ת . . . mê·’êṯ תְּנוּפָה֙ as a wave offering tə·nū·p̄āh בְּנֵ֣י from the sons bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל of Israel , yiś·rā·’êl וְהָי֕וּ . . . wə·hā·yū לַעֲבֹ֖ד so that they may perform la·‘ă·ḇōḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- עֲבֹדַ֥ת the service ‘ă·ḇō·ḏaṯ יְהוָֽה׃ of YHWH . Yah·weh Numbers 8:12 וְהַלְוִיִּם֙ And the Levites wə·hal·wî·yim יִסְמְכ֣וּ are to lay yis·mə·ḵū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יְדֵיהֶ֔ם their hands yə·ḏê·hem עַ֖ל on ‘al רֹ֣אשׁ the heads rōš הַפָּרִ֑ים of the bulls , hap·pā·rîm וַ֠עֲשֵׂה and offer wa·‘ă·śêh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לַֽיהוָ֔ה to YHWH Yah·weh הָאֶחָ֨ד one hā·’e·ḥāḏ חַטָּ֜את as a sin offering ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הָאֶחָ֤ד and the other hā·’e·ḥāḏ עֹלָה֙ as a burnt offering , ‘ō·lāh לְכַפֵּ֖ר to make atonement lə·ḵap·pêr עַל־ for ‘al- הַלְוִיִּֽם׃ the Levites . hal·wî·yim Numbers 8:13 הַלְוִיִּ֔ם You are to have the Levites hal·wî·yim וְהַֽעֲמַדְתָּ֙ stand wə·ha·‘ă·maḏ·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לִפְנֵ֥י before lip̄·nê אַהֲרֹ֖ן Aaron ’a·hă·rōn וְלִפְנֵ֣י . . . wə·lip̄·nê בָנָ֑יו and his sons ḇā·nāw וְהֵנַפְתָּ֥ and then present wə·hê·nap̄·tā אֹתָ֛ם them ’ō·ṯām לַֽיהוָֽה׃ before YHWH Yah·weh תְּנוּפָ֖ה as a wave offering . tə·nū·p̄āh Numbers 8:14 וְהִבְדַּלְתָּ֙ In this way you shall separate wə·hiḇ·dal·tā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַלְוִיִּ֔ם the Levites hal·wî·yim מִתּ֖וֹךְ from mit·tō·wḵ בְּנֵ֣י vvv bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל the rest of the Israelites , yiś·rā·’êl הַלְוִיִּֽם׃ and the Levites hal·wî·yim
