אֶל־ it to ’el- הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ the altar . ham·miz·bê·aḥ Numbers 5:26 הַכֹּהֵ֤ן Then the priest hak·kō·hên וְקָמַ֨ץ is to take a handful wə·qā·maṣ מִן־ of min- הַמִּנְחָה֙ the grain offering ham·min·ḥāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אַזְכָּ֣רָתָ֔הּ as a memorial portion ’az·kā·rā·ṯāh וְהִקְטִ֖יר and burn wə·hiq·ṭîr הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חָה it on the altar ; ham·miz·bê·ḥāh וְאַחַ֛ר after that wə·’a·ḥar הָאִשָּׁ֖ה he is to have the woman hā·’iš·šāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יַשְׁקֶ֥ה drink yaš·qeh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַמָּֽיִם׃ the water . ham·mā·yim Numbers 5:27 וְהִשְׁקָ֣הּ When he has made her drink wə·hiš·qāh אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַמַּ֗יִם the water , ham·ma·yim וְהָיְתָ֣ה wə·hā·yə·ṯāh אִֽם־ if ’im- נִטְמְאָה֮ she has defiled herself niṭ·mə·’āh וַתִּמְעֹ֣ל and been unfaithful wat·tim·‘ōl מַ֣עַל . . . ma·‘al בְּאִישָׁהּ֒ to her husband , bə·’î·šāh הַמַּ֤יִם then the water ham·ma·yim הַמְאָֽרֲרִים֙ that brings a curse ham·’ā·ră·rîm וּבָ֨אוּ will enter ū·ḇā·’ū בָ֜הּ her ḇāh לְמָרִ֔ים and cause bitter suffering ; lə·mā·rîm בִטְנָ֔הּ her belly ḇiṭ·nāh וְצָבְתָ֣ה will swell , wə·ṣā·ḇə·ṯāh יְרֵכָ֑הּ her thigh yə·rê·ḵāh וְנָפְלָ֖ה will shrivel , wə·nā·p̄ə·lāh וְהָיְתָ֧ה and she will become wə·hā·yə·ṯāh הָאִשָּׁ֛ה . . . hā·’iš·šāh לְאָלָ֖ה accursed lə·’ā·lāh בְּקֶ֥רֶב among bə·qe·reḇ עַמָּֽהּ׃ her people . ‘am·māh Numbers 5:28 וְאִם־ But if wə·’im- הָֽאִשָּׁ֔ה the woman hā·’iš·šāh לֹ֤א has not lō נִטְמְאָה֙ defiled herself niṭ·mə·’āh וּטְהֹרָ֖ה and is clean , ū·ṭə·hō·rāh הִ֑וא she hî וְנִקְּתָ֖ה will be unaffected wə·niq·qə·ṯāh וְנִזְרְעָ֥ה and able to conceive wə·niz·rə·‘āh זָֽרַע׃ children . zā·ra‘ Numbers 5:29 זֹ֥את This zōṯ תּוֹרַ֖ת is the law tō·w·raṯ הַקְּנָאֹ֑ת of jealousy haq·qə·nā·’ōṯ אֲשֶׁ֨ר when ’ă·šer אִשָּׁ֛ה a wife ’iš·šāh תִּשְׂטֶ֥ה goes astray tiś·ṭeh וְנִטְמָֽאָה׃ and defiles herself wə·niṭ·mā·’āh תַּ֥חַת while under ta·ḥaṯ אִישָׁ֖הּ her husband’s authority , ’î·šāh Numbers 5:30 א֣וֹ or ’ōw אֲשֶׁ֨ר when ’ă·šer ר֥וּחַ a feeling rū·aḥ קִנְאָ֖ה of jealousy qin·’āh תַּעֲבֹ֥ר comes over ta·‘ă·ḇōr עָלָ֛יו . . . ‘ā·lāw אִ֗ישׁ a husband ’îš וְקִנֵּ֣א and he suspects wə·qin·nê אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אִשְׁתּ֑וֹ his wife . ’iš·tōw הָֽאִשָּׁה֙ He is to have the woman hā·’iš·šāh וְהֶעֱמִ֤יד stand wə·he·‘ĕ·mîḏ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לִפְנֵ֣י before lip̄·nê יְהוָ֔ה YHWH , Yah·weh הַכֹּהֵ֔ן and the priest hak·kō·hên אֵ֥ת - ’êṯ וְעָ֤שָׂה is to apply wə·‘ā·śāh לָהּ֙ to her lāh הַזֹּֽאת׃ this haz·zōṯ כָּל־ entire kāl- הַתּוֹרָ֖ה law . hat·tō·w·rāh Numbers 5:31 הָאִ֖ישׁ The husband hā·’îš וְנִקָּ֥ה will be free wə·niq·qāh מֵעָוֺ֑ן from guilt , mê·‘ā·wōn
