אֶל־ to ’el- מֹשֶׁ֗ה Moses : mō·šeh דַּבֵּר֮ “ Tell dab·bêr אֶל־ ’el- אָחִיךָ֒ your brother ’ā·ḥî·ḵā אַהֲרֹ֣ן Aaron ’a·hă·rōn וְאַל־ not wə·’al- יָבֹ֤א to enter yā·ḇō בְכָל־ freely ḇə·ḵāl- עֵת֙ . . . ‘êṯ אֶל־ into ’el- הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ the Most Holy Place haq·qō·ḏeš מִבֵּ֖ית behind mib·bêṯ לַפָּרֹ֑כֶת the veil lap·pā·rō·ḵeṯ אֶל־ in ’el- פְּנֵ֨י front pə·nê הַכַּפֹּ֜רֶת of the mercy seat hak·kap·pō·reṯ אֲשֶׁ֤ר - ’ă·šer עַל־ on ‘al- הָאָרֹן֙ the ark , hā·’ā·rōn וְלֹ֣א or else wə·lō יָמ֔וּת he will die , yā·mūṯ כִּ֚י because kî אֵרָאֶ֖ה I appear ’ê·rā·’eh בֶּֽעָנָ֔ן in the cloud be·‘ā·nān עַל־ above ‘al- הַכַּפֹּֽרֶת׃ the mercy seat . hak·kap·pō·reṯ Leviticus 16:3 בְּזֹ֛את This is how bə·zōṯ אַהֲרֹ֖ן Aaron ’a·hă·rōn יָבֹ֥א is to enter yā·ḇō אֶל־ . . . ’el- הַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ the Holy Place : haq·qō·ḏeš בְּפַ֧ר with a young bull bə·p̄ar בֶּן־ . . . ben- בָּקָ֛ר . . . bā·qār לְחַטָּ֖את for a sin offering lə·ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ וְאַ֥יִל and a ram wə·’a·yil לְעֹלָֽה׃ for a burnt offering . lə·‘ō·lāh Leviticus 16:4 יִלְבָּ֗שׁ He is to wear yil·bāš קֹ֜דֶשׁ the sacred qō·ḏeš בַּ֨ד linen baḏ כְּתֹֽנֶת־ tunic , kə·ṯō·neṯ- בַד֮ with linen ḇaḏ וּמִֽכְנְסֵי־ undergarments ū·miḵ·nə·sê- יִהְי֣וּ - yih·yū עַל־ - ‘al- בְּשָׂרוֹ֒ - . bə·śā·rōw יַחְגֹּ֔ר He must tie yaḥ·gōr בַּד֙ a linen baḏ וּבְאַבְנֵ֥ט sash ū·ḇə·’aḇ·nêṭ בַּ֖ד around him baḏ יִצְנֹ֑ף and put on the linen yiṣ·nōp̄ וּבְמִצְנֶ֥פֶת turban . ū·ḇə·miṣ·ne·p̄eṯ הֵ֔ם These hêm קֹ֣דֶשׁ [are] holy qō·ḏeš בִּגְדֵי־ garments , biḡ·ḏê- וְרָחַ֥ץ and he must bathe wə·rā·ḥaṣ בְּשָׂר֖וֹ himself bə·śā·rōw בַּמַּ֛יִם with water bam·ma·yim אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וּלְבֵשָֽׁם׃ before he wears them . ū·lə·ḇê·šām Leviticus 16:5 וּמֵאֵ֗ת And ū·mê·’êṯ יִקַּ֛ח he shall take yiq·qaḥ עֲדַת֙ from the congregation ‘ă·ḏaṯ בְּנֵ֣י . . . bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel yiś·rā·’êl שְׁנֵֽי־ two šə·nê- שְׂעִירֵ֥י male goats śə·‘î·rê עִזִּ֖ים . . . ‘iz·zîm לְחַטָּ֑את for a sin offering lə·ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ אֶחָ֖ד and one ’e·ḥāḏ וְאַ֥יִל ram wə·’a·yil לְעֹלָֽה׃ for a burnt offering . lə·‘ō·lāh Leviticus 16:6 אַהֲרֹ֛ן Aaron ’a·hă·rōn אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וְהִקְרִ֧יב is to present wə·hiq·rîḇ פַּ֥ר the bull par הַחַטָּ֖את for his sin offering ha·ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- ל֑וֹ lōw וְכִפֶּ֥ר and make atonement wə·ḵip·per בַּעֲד֖וֹ for ba·‘ă·ḏōw וּבְעַ֥ד himself ū·ḇə·‘aḏ בֵּיתֽוֹ׃ and his household . bê·ṯōw Leviticus 16:7 וְלָקַ֖ח Then he shall take wə·lā·qaḥ
