Leviticus 16:13 וְנָתַ֧ן He is to put wə·nā·ṯan אֶֽת־ - ’eṯ- הַקְּטֹ֛רֶת the incense haq·qə·ṭō·reṯ עַל־ on ‘al- הָאֵ֖שׁ the fire hā·’êš לִפְנֵ֣י before lip̄·nê יְהוָ֑ה YHWH , Yah·weh עֲנַ֣ן and the cloud ‘ă·nan הַקְּטֹ֗רֶת of incense haq·qə·ṭō·reṯ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וְכִסָּ֣ה׀ will cover wə·ḵis·sāh הַכַּפֹּ֛רֶת the mercy seat hak·kap·pō·reṯ אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer עַל־ above ‘al- הָעֵד֖וּת the Testimony , hā·‘ê·ḏūṯ וְלֹ֥א so that he will not wə·lō יָמֽוּת׃ die . yā·mūṯ Leviticus 16:14 וְלָקַח֙ And he is to take wə·lā·qaḥ הַפָּ֔ר some of the bull’s hap·pār מִדַּ֣ם blood mid·dam וְהִזָּ֧ה and sprinkle wə·hiz·zāh בְאֶצְבָּע֛וֹ it with his finger ḇə·’eṣ·bā·‘ōw עַל־ on ‘al- קֵ֑דְמָה the east qê·ḏə·māh פְּנֵ֥י side pə·nê הַכַּפֹּ֖רֶת of the mercy seat ; hak·kap·pō·reṯ יַזֶּ֧ה then he shall sprinkle yaz·zeh מִן־ some of min- הַדָּ֖ם [it] had·dām בְּאֶצְבָּעֽוֹ׃ with his finger bə·’eṣ·bā·‘ōw שֶֽׁבַע־ seven še·ḇa‘- פְּעָמִ֛ים times pə·‘ā·mîm וְלִפְנֵ֣י before wə·lip̄·nê הַכַּפֹּ֗רֶת the mercy seat . hak·kap·pō·reṯ Leviticus 16:15 וְשָׁחַ֞ט [Aaron] shall then slaughter wə·šā·ḥaṭ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- שְׂעִ֤יר the goat śə·‘îr הַֽחַטָּאת֙ for the sin offering ha·ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer לָעָ֔ם for the people lā·‘ām וְהֵבִיא֙ and bring wə·hê·ḇî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- דָּמ֔וֹ its blood dā·mōw אֶל־ . . . ’el- מִבֵּ֖ית behind mib·bêṯ לַפָּרֹ֑כֶת the veil , lap·pā·rō·ḵeṯ אֶת־ . . . ’eṯ- דָּמ֗וֹ and with its blood dā·mōw וְעָשָׂ֣ה he must do wə·‘ā·śāh כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר as ka·’ă·šer עָשָׂה֙ he did ‘ā·śāh הַפָּ֔ר with the bull’s hap·pār לְדַ֣ם blood : lə·ḏam וְהִזָּ֥ה He is to sprinkle wə·hiz·zāh אֹת֛וֹ - ’ō·ṯōw עַל־ it against ‘al- הַכַּפֹּ֖רֶת the mercy seat hak·kap·pō·reṯ וְלִפְנֵ֥י and in front wə·lip̄·nê הַכַּפֹּֽרֶת׃ of it . hak·kap·pō·reṯ Leviticus 16:16 וְכִפֶּ֣ר So he shall make atonement wə·ḵip·per עַל־ for ‘al- הַקֹּ֗דֶשׁ the Most Holy Place haq·qō·ḏeš מִטֻּמְאֹת֙ because of the impurities miṭ·ṭum·’ōṯ וּמִפִּשְׁעֵיהֶ֖ם and rebellious acts ū·mip·piš·‘ê·hem בְּנֵ֣י vvv bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of the Israelites yiś·rā·’êl לְכָל־ in regard to all lə·ḵāl חַטֹּאתָ֑ם their sins . ḥaṭ·ṭō·ṯām יַעֲשֶׂה֙ He is to do ya·‘ă·śeh וְכֵ֤ן the same wə·ḵên לְאֹ֣הֶל for the Tent lə·’ō·hel מוֹעֵ֔ד of Meeting mō·w·‘êḏ הַשֹּׁכֵ֣ן which abides haš·šō·ḵên אִתָּ֔ם among them , ’it·tām בְּת֖וֹךְ because it is surrounded by bə·ṯō·wḵ טֻמְאֹתָֽם׃ their impurities . ṭum·’ō·ṯām Leviticus 16:17 וְכָל־ No wə·ḵāl לֹא־ . . . lō- אָדָ֞ם one ’ā·ḏām יִהְיֶ֣ה׀ may be yih·yeh בְּאֹ֣הֶל in the Tent bə·’ō·hel מוֹעֵ֗ד of Meeting mō·w·‘êḏ בְּבֹא֛וֹ from the time [Aaron] goes in bə·ḇō·’ōw לְכַפֵּ֥ר to make atonement lə·ḵap·pêr בַּקֹּ֖דֶשׁ in the Most Holy Place baq·qō·ḏeš עַד־ until ‘aḏ- צֵאת֑וֹ he leaves , ṣê·ṯōw
