וְכִפֶּ֤ר after he has made atonement wə·ḵip·per בַּעֲדוֹ֙ for himself , ba·‘ă·ḏōw וּבְעַ֣ד . . . ū·ḇə·‘aḏ בֵּית֔וֹ his household , bê·ṯōw וּבְעַ֖ד . . . ū·ḇə·‘aḏ כָּל־ and the whole kāl- קְהַ֥ל assembly qə·hal יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of Israel . yiś·rā·’êl Leviticus 16:18 וְיָצָ֗א Then he shall go out wə·yā·ṣā אֶל־ to ’el- הַמִּזְבֵּ֛חַ the altar ham·miz·bê·aḥ אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer לִפְנֵֽי־ is before lip̄·nê- יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh וְכִפֶּ֣ר and make atonement wə·ḵip·per עָלָ֑יו for it . ‘ā·lāw וְלָקַ֞ח He is to take wə·lā·qaḥ הַפָּר֙ some of the bull’s hap·pār מִדַּ֤ם blood mid·dam הַשָּׂעִ֔יר and some of the goat’s haś·śā·‘îr וּמִדַּ֣ם blood ū·mid·dam וְנָתַ֛ן and put it wə·nā·ṯan עַל־ on ‘al- סָבִֽיב׃ all sā·ḇîḇ קַרְנ֥וֹת the horns qar·nō·wṯ הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ of the altar . ham·miz·bê·aḥ Leviticus 16:19 וְהִזָּ֨ה He is to sprinkle wə·hiz·zāh מִן־ some of min- הַדָּ֛ם the blood had·dām עָלָ֧יו on it ‘ā·lāw בְּאֶצְבָּע֖וֹ with his finger bə·’eṣ·bā·‘ōw שֶׁ֣בַע seven še·ḇa‘ פְּעָמִ֑ים times pə·‘ā·mîm וְטִהֲר֣וֹ to cleanse it wə·ṭi·hă·rōw וְקִדְּשׁ֔וֹ and consecrate it wə·qid·də·šōw מִטֻּמְאֹ֖ת from the uncleanness miṭ·ṭum·’ōṯ בְּנֵ֥י vvv bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ of the Israelites . yiś·rā·’êl Leviticus 16:20 וְכִלָּה֙ When [Aaron] has finished wə·ḵil·lāh מִכַּפֵּ֣ר purifying mik·kap·pêr אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ the Most Holy Place , haq·qō·ḏeš וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- אֹ֥הֶל the Tent ’ō·hel מוֹעֵ֖ד of Meeting , mō·w·‘êḏ וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ and the altar , ham·miz·bê·aḥ וְהִקְרִ֖יב he is to bring forward wə·hiq·rîḇ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הֶחָֽי׃ the live he·ḥāy הַשָּׂעִ֥יר goat . haś·śā·‘îr Leviticus 16:21 אַהֲרֹ֜ן Then [he] ’a·hă·rōn אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וְסָמַ֨ךְ is to lay wə·sā·maḵ שְׁתֵּ֣י both šə·tê יָדוֹ hands yå̄·ḏō עַ֨ל on ‘al רֹ֣אשׁ the head rōš הַחַי֒ of the live ha·ḥay הַשָּׂעִיר֮ goat haś·śā·‘îr וְהִתְוַדָּ֣ה and confess wə·hiṯ·wad·dāh עָלָ֗יו over ‘ā·lāw אֶת־ it ’eṯ- כָּל־ all kāl- עֲוֺנֹת֙ the iniquities ‘ă·wō·nōṯ פִּשְׁעֵיהֶ֖ם and rebellious acts piš·‘ê·hem בְּנֵ֣י vvv bə·nê יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of the Israelites yiś·rā·’êl וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- לְכָל־ in regard to lə·ḵāl כָּל־ all kāl- חַטֹּאתָ֑ם their sins . ḥaṭ·ṭō·ṯām וְנָתַ֤ן He is to put wə·nā·ṯan אֹתָם֙ them ’ō·ṯām עַל־ on ‘al- הַשָּׂעִ֔יר the goat’s haś·śā·‘îr רֹ֣אשׁ head rōš וְשִׁלַּ֛ח and send it away wə·šil·laḥ הַמִּדְבָּֽרָה׃ into the wilderness ham·miḏ·bā·rāh בְּיַד־ by the hand bə·yaḏ- אִ֥ישׁ of a man ’îš עִתִּ֖י appointed for the task . ‘it·tî Leviticus 16:22 הַשָּׂעִ֥יר The goat haś·śā·‘îr וְנָשָׂ֨א will carry wə·nā·śā עָלָ֛יו on ‘ā·lāw
