בְּנִבְלַת֙ . . . bə·niḇ·laṯ טָמֵ֑א - ṭā·mê שֶׁ֣רֶץ crawling creature — še·reṣ וְנֶעְלַ֣ם even if he is unaware wə·ne‘·lam מִמֶּ֔נּוּ of it , mim·men·nū וְה֥וּא he wə·hū טָמֵ֖א is unclean ṭā·mê וְאָשֵֽׁם׃ and guilty . wə·’ā·šêm Leviticus 5:3 א֣וֹ Or ’ōw כִ֤י if ḵî יִגַּע֙ he touches yig·ga‘ אָדָ֔ם human ’ā·ḏām בְּטֻמְאַ֣ת uncleanness — bə·ṭum·’aṯ לְכֹל֙ anything lə·ḵōl טֻמְאָת֔וֹ - ṭum·’ā·ṯōw אֲשֶׁ֥ר by which ’ă·šer יִטְמָ֖א one becomes unclean yiṭ·mā בָּ֑הּ — bāh וְנֶעְלַ֣ם even if he is unaware wə·ne‘·lam מִמֶּ֔נּוּ of it , mim·men·nū וְה֥וּא when he wə·hū יָדַ֖ע realizes it , yā·ḏa‘ וְאָשֵֽׁם׃ he is guilty . wə·’ā·šêm Leviticus 5:4 א֣וֹ Or ’ōw כִּ֣י if kî נֶ֡פֶשׁ someone ne·p̄eš תִשָּׁבַע֩ swears ṯiš·šā·ḇa‘ לְבַטֵּ֨א thoughtlessly lə·ḇaṭ·ṭê בִשְׂפָתַ֜יִם with his lips ḇiś·p̄ā·ṯa·yim לְהֵיטִ֗יב to do anything good lə·hê·ṭîḇ א֣וֹ or ’ōw לְהָרַ֣ע׀ evil — lə·hā·ra‘ לְ֠כֹל in lə·ḵōl אֲשֶׁ֨ר whatever matter ’ă·šer הָאָדָ֛ם a man hā·’ā·ḏām יְבַטֵּ֧א may rashly pronounce yə·ḇaṭ·ṭê בִּשְׁבֻעָ֖ה an oath — biš·ḇu·‘āh וְנֶעְלַ֣ם even if he is unaware wə·ne‘·lam מִמֶּ֑נּוּ of it , mim·men·nū וְהוּא־ when he wə·hū- יָדַ֥ע realizes it , yā·ḏa‘ וְאָשֵׁ֖ם he is guilty wə·’ā·šêm לְאַחַ֥ת vvv lə·’a·ḥaṯ מֵאֵֽלֶּה׃ in [the matter] . mê·’êl·leh Leviticus 5:5 וְהָיָ֥ה - wə·hā·yāh כִֽי־ If ḵî- יֶאְשַׁ֖ם someone incurs guilt ye’·šam לְאַחַ֣ת in one lə·’a·ḥaṯ מֵאֵ֑לֶּה of these ways , mê·’êl·leh וְהִ֨תְוַדָּ֔ה he must confess wə·hiṯ·wad·dāh אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer חָטָ֖א the sin he has committed ḥā·ṭā עָלֶֽיהָ׃ . . . , ‘ā·le·hā Leviticus 5:6 וְהֵבִ֣יא and he must bring wə·hê·ḇî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲשָׁמ֣וֹ his guilt offering ’ă·šā·mōw לַיהוָ֡ה to YHWH Yah·weh עַ֣ל for ‘al חַטָּאתוֹ֩ the sin ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯōw אֲשֶׁ֨ר - ’ă·šer חָטָ֜א he has committed : ḥā·ṭā נְקֵבָ֨ה a female nə·qê·ḇāh כִּשְׂבָּ֛ה lamb kiś·bāh אֽוֹ־ or ’ōw- שְׂעִירַ֥ת goat śə·‘î·raṯ עִזִּ֖ים . . . ‘iz·zîm מִן־ from min- הַצֹּ֥אן the flock haṣ·ṣōn לְחַטָּ֑את as a sin offering . lə·ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ הַכֹּהֵ֖ן And the priest hak·kō·hên וְכִפֶּ֥ר will make atonement wə·ḵip·per עָלָ֛יו for him ‘ā·lāw מֵחַטָּאתֽוֹ׃ concerning his sin . mê·ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯōw Leviticus 5:7 וְאִם־ If, however , wə·’im- לֹ֨א he cannot lō תַגִּ֣יע afford ṯag·gīʿ יָדוֹ֮ . . . yā·ḏōw דֵּ֣י . . . dê שֶׂה֒ a lamb , śeh וְהֵבִ֨יא he may bring wə·hê·ḇî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- לַֽיהוָ֑ה to YHWH Yah·weh אֲשָׁמ֜וֹ as restitution ’ă·šā·mōw אֲשֶׁ֣ר - ’ă·šer חָטָ֗א for his sin ḥā·ṭā
