אֲשֶׁ֥ר and does what ’ă·šer לֹא־ is prohibited lō- תֵעָשֶׂ֖ינָה . . . ṯê·‘ā·śe·nāh בַּ֠עֲשֹׂתָהּ - ba·‘ă·śō·ṯāh אַחַ֨ת by any ’a·ḥaṯ יְהוָ֛ה of YHWH’s Yah·weh מִמִּצְוֺ֧ת commandments , mim·miṣ·wōṯ וְאָשֵֽׁם׃ he incurs guilt . wə·’ā·šêm Leviticus 4:28 א֚וֹ - ’ōw הוֹדַ֣ע When he becomes aware hō·w·ḏa‘ אֵלָ֔יו . . . ’ê·lāw חַטָּאת֖וֹ of the sin ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯōw אֲשֶׁ֣ר ’ă·šer חָטָ֑א he has committed , ḥā·ṭā וְהֵבִ֨יא he must bring wə·hê·ḇî תְּמִימָ֣ה an unblemished tə·mî·māh נְקֵבָ֔ה female nə·qê·ḇāh שְׂעִירַ֤ת goat śə·‘î·raṯ עִזִּים֙ . . . ‘iz·zîm קָרְבָּנ֜וֹ as his offering qā·rə·bā·nōw עַל־ for ‘al- חַטָּאת֖וֹ that sin ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯōw אֲשֶׁ֥ר . . . ’ă·šer חָטָֽא׃ . . . . ḥā·ṭā Leviticus 4:29 וְסָמַךְ֙ He is to lay wə·sā·maḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- יָד֔וֹ his hand yā·ḏōw עַ֖ל on ‘al רֹ֣אשׁ the head rōš הַֽחַטָּ֑את of the sin offering ha·ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ וְשָׁחַט֙ and slaughter wə·šā·ḥaṭ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הַ֣חַטָּ֔את it ha·ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ בִּמְק֖וֹם at the place bim·qō·wm הָעֹלָֽה׃ of the burnt offering . hā·‘ō·lāh Leviticus 4:30 הַכֹּהֵ֤ן Then the priest hak·kō·hên וְלָקַ֨ח is to take wə·lā·qaḥ מִדָּמָהּ֙ some of its blood mid·dā·māh בְּאֶצְבָּע֔וֹ with his finger , bə·’eṣ·bā·‘ōw וְנָתַ֕ן put it wə·nā·ṯan עַל־ on ‘al- קַרְנֹ֖ת the horns qar·nōṯ מִזְבַּ֣ח of the altar miz·baḥ הָעֹלָ֑ה of burnt offering , hā·‘ō·lāh וְאֶת־ and wə·’eṯ- יִשְׁפֹּ֔ךְ pour out yiš·pōḵ כָּל־ the rest kāl- דָּמָ֣הּ of the blood dā·māh אֶל־ at ’el- יְס֖וֹד the base yə·sō·wḏ הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ of the altar . ham·miz·bê·aḥ Leviticus 4:31 וְאֶת־ Then wə·’eṯ- יָסִ֗יר he is to remove yā·sîr כָּל־ all kāl- חֶלְבָּ֣הּ the fat , ḥel·bāh כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר just as ka·’ă·šer חֵלֶב֮ [it] ḥê·leḇ הוּסַ֣ר is removed hū·sar מֵעַ֣ל from mê·‘al זֶ֣בַח vvv ze·ḇaḥ הַשְּׁלָמִים֒ the peace offering , haš·šə·lā·mîm הַכֹּהֵן֙ and the priest hak·kō·hên וְהִקְטִ֤יר is to burn wə·hiq·ṭîr הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חָה it on the altar ham·miz·bê·ḥāh נִיחֹ֖חַ as a pleasing nî·ḥō·aḥ לְרֵ֥יחַ aroma lə·rê·aḥ לַיהוָ֑ה to YHWH . Yah·weh הַכֹּהֵ֖ן In this way the priest hak·kō·hên וְכִפֶּ֥ר will make atonement wə·ḵip·per עָלָ֛יו for him , ‘ā·lāw וְנִסְלַ֥ח and he will be forgiven wə·nis·laḥ לֽוֹ׃פ . lōw Leviticus 4:32 וְאִם־ If, however , wə·’im- יָבִ֥יא he brings yā·ḇî כֶּ֛בֶשׂ a lamb ke·ḇeś קָרְבָּנ֖וֹ - qā·rə·bā·nōw לְחַטָּ֑את as a sin offering , lə·ḥaṭ·ṭāṯ יְבִיאֶֽנָּה׃ he must bring yə·ḇî·’en·nāh תְמִימָ֖ה an unblemished ṯə·mî·māh נְקֵבָ֥ה female . nə·qê·ḇāh Leviticus 4:33 וְסָמַךְ֙ And he is to lay wə·sā·maḵ אֶת־ - ’eṯ-
