Exodus 34:14 כִּ֛י For kî לֹ֥א you must not lō תִֽשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֖ה worship ṯiš·ta·ḥă·weh אַחֵ֑ר any other ’a·ḥêr לְאֵ֣ל god , lə·’êl כִּ֤י for kî יְהוָה֙ YHWH , Yah·weh שְׁמ֔וֹ whose name [is] šə·mōw קַנָּ֣א Jealous , qan·nā קַנָּ֖א [is] a jealous qan·nā הֽוּא׃ . . . hū אֵ֥ל God . ’êl Exodus 34:15 פֶּן־ Do not pen- תִּכְרֹ֥ת make tiḵ·rōṯ בְּרִ֖ית a covenant bə·rîṯ לְיוֹשֵׁ֣ב with the inhabitants lə·yō·wō·šêḇ הָאָ֑רֶץ of the land , hā·’ā·reṣ וְזָנ֣וּ׀ for when they prostitute themselves wə·zā·nū אַחֲרֵ֣י to ’a·ḥă·rê אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֗ם their gods ’ĕ·lō·hê·hem וְזָבְחוּ֙ and sacrifice wə·zā·ḇə·ḥū לֵאלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔ם to [them] , lê·lō·hê·hem וְקָרָ֣א they will invite wə·qā·rā לְךָ֔ you , lə·ḵā וְאָכַלְתָּ֖ and you will eat wə·’ā·ḵal·tā מִזִּבְחֽוֹ׃ their sacrifices . miz·ziḇ·ḥōw Exodus 34:16 וְלָקַחְתָּ֥ And when you take wə·lā·qaḥ·tā מִבְּנֹתָ֖יו some of their daughters mib·bə·nō·ṯāw לְבָנֶ֑יךָ as brides for your sons , lə·ḇā·ne·ḵā בְנֹתָ֗יו their daughters ḇə·nō·ṯāw וְזָנ֣וּ will prostitute themselves wə·zā·nū אַחֲרֵי֙ to ’a·ḥă·rê אֱלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔ן their gods ’ĕ·lō·hê·hen בָּנֶ֔יךָ and cause your sons bā·ne·ḵā וְהִזְנוּ֙ [to do the same] wə·hiz·nū אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אַחֲרֵ֖י - ’a·ḥă·rê אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽן׃ . . . . ’ĕ·lō·hê·hen Exodus 34:17 תַעֲשֶׂה־ You shall make ṯa·‘ă·śeh- לֹ֥א no lō מַסֵּכָ֖ה molten mas·sê·ḵāh אֱלֹהֵ֥י gods ’ĕ·lō·hê לָּֽךְ׃ for yourselves . lāḵ Exodus 34:18 אֶת־ - ’eṯ- תִּשְׁמֹר֒ You are to keep tiš·mōr חַ֣ג the Feast ḥaḡ הַמַּצּוֹת֮ of Unleavened Bread . ham·maṣ·ṣō·wṯ שִׁבְעַ֨ת For seven šiḇ·‘aṯ יָמִ֜ים days yā·mîm לְמוֹעֵ֖ד at the appointed time lə·mō·w·‘êḏ חֹ֣דֶשׁ in the month ḥō·ḏeš הָאָבִ֑יב of Abib , hā·’ā·ḇîḇ תֹּאכַ֤ל you are to eat tō·ḵal מַצּוֹת֙ unleavened bread maṣ·ṣō·wṯ אֲשֶׁ֣ר as ’ă·šer צִוִּיתִ֔ךָ I commanded you . ṣiw·wî·ṯi·ḵā כִּ֚י For kî בְּחֹ֣דֶשׁ in the month bə·ḥō·ḏeš הָֽאָבִ֔יב of Abib hā·’ā·ḇîḇ יָצָ֖אתָ you came out yā·ṣā·ṯā מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃ of Egypt . mim·miṣ·rā·yim Exodus 34:19 פֶּ֥טֶר The first offspring pe·ṭer כָּל־ of every kāl- רֶ֖חֶם womb re·ḥem לִ֑י belongs to Me , lî וְכָֽל־ including all wə·ḵāl פֶּ֖טֶר the firstborn pe·ṭer תִּזָּכָ֔ר males tiz·zā·ḵār מִקְנְךָ֙ among your livestock , miq·nə·ḵā שׁ֥וֹר [whether] cattle šō·wr וָשֶֽׂה׃ or sheep . wā·śeh Exodus 34:20 תִּפְדֶּ֣ה You must redeem tip̄·deh וּפֶ֤טֶר the firstborn ū·p̄e·ṭer חֲמוֹר֙ of a donkey ḥă·mō·wr בְשֶׂ֔ה with a lamb ; ḇə·śeh וְאִם־ but if wə·’im- לֹ֥א you do not lō תִפְדֶּ֖ה redeem it , ṯip̄·deh וַעֲרַפְתּ֑וֹ you are to break its neck . wa·‘ă·rap̄·tōw תִּפְדֶּ֔ה You must redeem tip̄·deh
