הַהֽוּא׃ the ha·hū הָהָ֥ר mountain . ” hā·hār Exodus 34:4 מֹשֶׁ֤ה So Moses mō·šeh וַיִּפְסֹ֡ל chiseled out way·yip̄·sōl שְׁנֵֽי־ two šə·nê- אֲבָנִ֜ים stone ’ă·ḇā·nîm לֻחֹ֨ת tablets lu·ḥōṯ כָּרִאשֹׁנִ֗ים like the originals . kā·ri·šō·nîm וַיַּשְׁכֵּ֨ם He rose early way·yaš·kêm בַבֹּ֙קֶר֙ in the morning , ḇab·bō·qer וַיִּקַּ֣ח and taking way·yiq·qaḥ שְׁנֵ֖י the two šə·nê אֲבָנִֽים׃ stone ’ă·ḇā·nîm לֻחֹ֥ת tablets lu·ḥōṯ בְּיָד֔וֹ in his hands , bə·yā·ḏōw וַיַּ֙עַל֙ he went up way·ya·‘al אֶל־ . . . ’el- הַ֣ר Mount har סִינַ֔י Sinai sî·nay כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר as ka·’ă·šer יְהוָ֖ה YHWH Yah·weh אֹת֑וֹ - ’ō·ṯōw צִוָּ֥ה had commanded him . ṣiw·wāh Exodus 34:5 יְהוָה֙ And YHWH Yah·weh וַיֵּ֤רֶד descended way·yê·reḏ בֶּֽעָנָ֔ן in a cloud , be·‘ā·nān וַיִּתְיַצֵּ֥ב stood way·yiṯ·yaṣ·ṣêḇ עִמּ֖וֹ with him ‘im·mōw שָׁ֑ם there , šām וַיִּקְרָ֥א and proclaimed way·yiq·rā בְשֵׁ֖ם His name , ḇə·šêm יְהוָֽה׃ YHWH . Yah·weh Exodus 34:6 יְהוָ֥ה׀ Then YHWH Yah·weh וַיַּעֲבֹ֨ר passed way·ya·‘ă·ḇōr עַל־ in front of ‘al- פָּנָיו֮ [Moses] pā·nāw וַיִּקְרָא֒ and called out : way·yiq·rā יְהוָ֣ה׀ “ YHWH , Yah·weh יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh אֵ֥ל God , ’êl רַח֖וּם is compassionate ra·ḥūm וְחַנּ֑וּן and gracious , wə·ḥan·nūn אֶ֥רֶךְ slow ’e·reḵ אַפַּ֖יִם to anger , ’ap·pa·yim וְרַב־ abounding wə·raḇ- חֶ֥סֶד in loving devotion ḥe·seḏ וֶאֱמֶֽת׀ and faithfulness , wɛ·ʾɛ̆·mɛṯ Exodus 34:7 נֹצֵ֥ר maintaining nō·ṣêr חֶ֙סֶד֙ loving devotion ḥe·seḏ לָאֲלָפִ֔ים to a thousand [generations] , lā·’ă·lā·p̄îm נֹשֵׂ֥א forgiving nō·śê עָוֺ֛ן iniquity , ‘ā·wōn וָפֶ֖שַׁע transgression , wā·p̄e·ša‘ וְחַטָּאָ֑ה and sin . wə·ḥaṭ·ṭā·’āh לֹ֣א Yet He will by no means lō וְנַקֵּה֙ vvv wə·naq·qêh יְנַקֶּ֔ה leave [the guilty] unpunished ; yə·naq·qeh פֹּקֵ֣ד׀ He will visit pō·qêḏ עֲוֺ֣ן the iniquity ‘ă·wōn אָב֗וֹת of the fathers ’ā·ḇō·wṯ עַל־ on ‘al- בָּנִים֙ their children bā·nîm וְעַל־ and wə·‘al- בְּנֵ֣י grandchildren bə·nê בָנִ֔ים . . . ḇā·nîm עַל־ to ‘al- שִׁלֵּשִׁ֖ים the third šil·lê·šîm וְעַל־ . . . wə·‘al- רִבֵּעִֽים׃ and fourth generations . ” rib·bê·‘îm Exodus 34:8 מֹשֶׁ֑ה Moses mō·šeh וַיְמַהֵ֖ר immediately way·ma·hêr וַיִּקֹּ֥ד bowed down way·yiq·qōḏ אַ֖רְצָה to the ground ’ar·ṣāh וַיִּשְׁתָּֽחוּ׃ and worshiped . way·yiš·tā·ḥū Exodus 34:9 אֲדֹנָ֔י “ O Lord , ” ’ă·ḏō·nāy וַיֹּ֡אמֶר he said , way·yō·mer אִם־ “ if ’im- מָצָ֨אתִי I have indeed found mā·ṣā·ṯî חֵ֤ן favor ḥên בְּעֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ in Your sight , bə·‘ê·ne·ḵā אֲדֹנָ֖י my Lord , ’ă·ḏō·nāy נָא֩ please nā
