יֵֽלֶךְ־ go yê·leḵ- נָ֥א . . . nā בְּקִרְבֵּ֑נוּ with us . bə·qir·bê·nū כִּ֤י Although kî ה֔וּא this hū קְשֵׁה־ is a stiff-necked qə·šêh- עֹ֙רֶף֙ . . . ‘ō·rep̄ עַם־ people , ‘am- וְסָלַחְתָּ֛ forgive wə·sā·laḥ·tā לַעֲוֺנֵ֥נוּ our iniquity la·‘ă·wō·nê·nū וּלְחַטָּאתֵ֖נוּ and sin , ū·lə·ḥaṭ·ṭā·ṯê·nū וּנְחַלְתָּֽנוּ׃ and take us as Your inheritance . ” ū·nə·ḥal·tā·nū Exodus 34:10 וַיֹּ֗אמֶר And [YHWH] said , way·yō·mer הִנֵּ֣ה “ Behold , hin·nêh אָנֹכִי֮ I ’ā·nō·ḵî כֹּרֵ֣ת am making kō·rêṯ בְּרִית֒ a covenant . bə·rîṯ נֶ֤גֶד Before ne·ḡeḏ כָּֽל־ all kāl- עַמְּךָ֙ your people ‘am·mə·ḵā אֶעֱשֶׂ֣ה I will perform ’e·‘ĕ·śeh נִפְלָאֹ֔ת wonders nip̄·lā·’ōṯ אֲשֶׁ֛ר that ’ă·šer לֹֽא־ have never lō- נִבְרְא֥וּ been done niḇ·rə·’ū וּבְכָל־ in any ū·ḇə·ḵāl הַגּוֹיִ֑ם nation hag·gō·w·yim בְכָל־ in all ḇə·ḵāl- הָאָ֖רֶץ the world . hā·’ā·reṣ כָל־ All ḵāl הָ֠עָם the people hā·‘ām אַתָּ֨ה vvv ’at·tāh בְקִרְבּ֜וֹ among whom you live ḇə·qir·bōw אֶת־ - ’eṯ- אֲשֶׁר־ - ’ă·šer- וְרָאָ֣ה will see wə·rā·’āh יְהוָה֙ YHWH’s Yah·weh מַעֲשֵׂ֤ה work , ma·‘ă·śêh כִּֽי־ for kî- ה֔וּא it [is] hū נוֹרָ֣א an awesome [thing] nō·w·rā אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ’ă·šer אֲנִ֖י I ’ă·nî עֹשֶׂ֥ה am doing ‘ō·śeh עִמָּֽךְ׃ with you . ‘im·māḵ Exodus 34:11 שְׁמָ֨ר־ Observe šə·mār- לְךָ֔ lə·ḵā אֵ֛ת - ’êṯ אֲשֶׁ֥ר what ’ă·šer אָנֹכִ֖י I ’ā·nō·ḵî מְצַוְּךָ֣ command you mə·ṣaw·wə·ḵā הַיּ֑וֹם this day . hay·yō·wm הִנְנִ֧י . . . hin·nî גֹרֵ֣שׁ I will drive out ḡō·rêš מִפָּנֶ֗יךָ before you mip·pā·ne·ḵā אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאֱמֹרִי֙ the Amorites , hā·’ĕ·mō·rî וְהַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֔י Canaanites , wə·hak·kə·na·‘ă·nî וְהַחִתִּי֙ Hittites , wə·ha·ḥit·tî וְהַפְּרִזִּ֔י Perizzites , wə·hap·pə·riz·zî וְהַחִוִּ֖י Hivites , wə·ha·ḥiw·wî וְהַיְבוּסִֽי׃ and Jebusites . wə·hay·ḇū·sî Exodus 34:12 הִשָּׁ֣מֶר Be careful hiš·šā·mer לְךָ֗ lə·ḵā פֶּן־ not pen- תִּכְרֹ֤ת to make tiḵ·rōṯ בְּרִית֙ a treaty bə·rîṯ לְיוֹשֵׁ֣ב with the inhabitants lə·yō·wō·šêḇ הָאָ֔רֶץ of the land hā·’ā·reṣ אֲשֶׁ֥ר - ’ă·šer אַתָּ֖ה you ’at·tāh בָּ֣א are entering bā עָלֶ֑יהָ . . . , ‘ā·le·hā פֶּן־ lest pen- יִהְיֶ֥ה they become yih·yeh לְמוֹקֵ֖שׁ a snare lə·mō·w·qêš בְּקִרְבֶּֽךָ׃ in your midst . bə·qir·be·ḵā Exodus 34:13 כִּ֤י Rather , kî אֶת־ - ’eṯ- תִּתֹּצ֔וּן you must tear down tit·tō·ṣūn וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- מִזְבְּחֹתָם֙ their altars , miz·bə·ḥō·ṯām תְּשַׁבֵּר֑וּן smash tə·šab·bê·rūn וְאֶת־ - wə·’eṯ- מַצֵּבֹתָ֖ם their sacred stones , maṣ·ṣê·ḇō·ṯām תִּכְרֹתֽוּן׃ and chop down tiḵ·rō·ṯūn אֲשֵׁרָ֖יו their Asherah poles . ’ă·šê·rāw
