יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ . . . , yiś·rā·’êl אַתֶּ֣ם ‘ You ’at·tem קְשֵׁה־ are a stiff-necked qə·šêh- עֹ֔רֶף . . . ‘ō·rep̄ עַם־ people . ‘am- אֶֽעֱלֶ֥ה If I should go ’e·‘ĕ·leh בְקִרְבְּךָ֖ with you ḇə·qir·bə·ḵā אֶחָ֛ד for a single ’e·ḥāḏ רֶ֧גַע moment , re·ḡa‘ וְכִלִּיתִ֑יךָ I would destroy you . wə·ḵil·lî·ṯî·ḵā וְעַתָּ֗ה Now wə·‘at·tāh הוֹרֵ֤ד take off hō·w·rêḏ עֶדְיְךָ֙ your jewelry , ‘eḏ·yə·ḵā מֵֽעָלֶ֔יךָ . . . mê·‘ā·le·ḵā וְאֵדְעָ֖ה and I will decide wə·’ê·ḏə·‘āh מָ֥ה what māh אֶֽעֱשֶׂה־ to do ’e·‘ĕ·śeh- לָּֽךְ׃ with you . ’” lāḵ Exodus 33:6 בְנֵֽי־ So the Israelites ḇə·nê- יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל . . . yiś·rā·’êl אֶת־ - ’eṯ- וַיִּֽתְנַצְּל֧וּ stripped themselves way·yiṯ·naṣ·ṣə·lū עֶדְיָ֖ם of their jewelry ‘eḏ·yām מֵהַ֥ר from Mount mê·har חוֹרֵֽב׃ Horeb [onward] . ḥō·w·rêḇ Exodus 33:7 וּמֹשֶׁה֩ Now Moses ū·mō·šeh יִקַּ֨ח used to take yiq·qaḥ אֶת־ - ’eṯ- הָאֹ֜הֶל the tent hā·’ō·hel וְנָֽטָה־ and pitch wə·nā·ṭāh- ל֣וֹ׀ it lōw מִח֣וּץ . . . mi·ḥūṣ לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֗ה . . . lam·ma·ḥă·neh הַרְחֵק֙ at a distance har·ḥêq מִן־ outside min- הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔ה the camp . ham·ma·ḥă·neh וְקָ֥רָא He called wə·qā·rā ל֖וֹ it lōw אֹ֣הֶל the Tent ’ō·hel מוֹעֵ֑ד of Meeting , mō·w·‘êḏ וְהָיָה֙ and wə·hā·yāh כָּל־ anyone kāl- מְבַקֵּ֣שׁ inquiring of mə·ḇaq·qêš יְהוָ֔ה YHWH Yah·weh יֵצֵא֙ would go yê·ṣê אֶל־ to ’el- אֹ֣הֶל the Tent ’ō·hel מוֹעֵ֔ד of Meeting mō·w·‘êḏ אֲשֶׁ֖ר - ’ă·šer מִח֥וּץ outside mi·ḥūṣ לַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃ the camp . lam·ma·ḥă·neh Exodus 33:8 וְהָיָ֗ה Then , wə·hā·yāh מֹשֶׁה֙ whenever Moses mō·šeh כְּצֵ֤את went out kə·ṣêṯ אֶל־ to ’el- הָאֹ֔הֶל the tent , hā·’ō·hel כָּל־ all kāl- הָעָ֔ם the people hā·‘ām וְנִ֨צְּב֔וּ . . . wə·niṣ·ṣə·ḇū יָק֙וּמוּ֙ would stand yā·qū·mū אִ֖ישׁ - ’îš פֶּ֣תַח at the entrances pe·ṯaḥ אָהֳל֑וֹ to their [own] tents ’ā·ho·lōw וְהִבִּ֙יטוּ֙ and watch wə·hib·bî·ṭū אַחֲרֵ֣י . . . ’a·ḥă·rê מֹשֶׁ֔ה Moses mō·šeh עַד־ until ‘aḏ- בֹּא֖וֹ he entered bō·’ōw הָאֹֽהֱלָה׃ the tent . hā·’ō·hĕ·lāh Exodus 33:9 וְהָיָ֗ה As wə·hā·yāh מֹשֶׁה֙ Moses mō·šeh כְּבֹ֤א entered kə·ḇō הָאֹ֔הֱלָה the tent , hā·’ō·hĕ·lāh עַמּ֣וּד the pillar ‘am·mūḏ הֶֽעָנָ֔ן of cloud he·‘ā·nān יֵרֵד֙ would come down yê·rêḏ וְעָמַ֖ד and remain wə·‘ā·maḏ פֶּ֣תַח at the entrance pe·ṯaḥ הָאֹ֑הֶל - , hā·’ō·hel וְדִבֶּ֖ר and YHWH would speak wə·ḏib·ber עִם־ with ‘im- מֹשֶֽׁה׃ Moses . mō·šeh Exodus 33:10 כָל־ When all ḵāl הָעָם֙ the people hā·‘ām אֶת־ - ’eṯ-
